Location perfect for Caen-Portsmouth ferry early the next morning. Cutesy room with nautical theme, as if you were already on the ferry! Close to a pub, "Normans" (!) just over the road, offering a good selection to a mostly British clientele.

Gated carpark was a bit of a mission. It was fairly small, and several spaces already occupied by a coach! We ended up parking in a Gendarmerie spot, which didn't impress the Gendarmerie, but we'd paid for secure parking so we were going to use it (they didn't ticket us!!).

After a delay due to industrial action (French Farmers blocking the motorways) we missed our Ferry and hence needed a place for the night. The location, right next to the teminal, couldn't have been better as was the secure parking - so not having to worry about all our belongings. On top of that the staff were excellent, having driven for hours and arriving just after midnight we were wired, but the manageress said she would keep the bar open for a short while so that we could get a drink to unwind. So accomodating thank-you

Parking right outside Good reception by staff both afternoon and early morning, with breakfast arranged to start from 06.00, enabling decent meal to be eaten before 07.00 departure for Portsmouth ferry. Brilliant position, very close to the Ferry boarding point. Comfortable bed.

Room was tiny - difficult to navigate around the bed, but only for one night, so not a disaster.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Travelling on early morning ferry so that’s why we stayed there. Being a Monday night quite a few restaurants closed so ate in the hotel who happily accommodated our vegetarian request. Parked car in secure parking at side. Had a lovely walk at the beach with our dog who was also made welcome at hotel.

More vegetarian selection on menu would have been good.

I stayed here because I was in the early ferry next day. It's right on the dock so very convenient. It's clean and comfortable and offered a good breakfast, though I decided to eat later on the ferry. Lady on reception spoke good English.

I would have appreciated easier access to a hot drink after my long drive.

The hotel is ideally located for the port and local facilities including nearby restaurants. The room was clean, well decorated and bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Secure parking at the side of the premises if required.

Breakfast was ready at 6am as stated. Good choice of food items. The gentleman on duty at breakfast time was very professional and polite. Plenty of car parking spaces.

The receptionist on arrival was efficient but very matter of fact. Whilst I accept there was little to convey there was little warmth in the welcome unlike when I left the key card the gentleman on duty had a pleasanter manner.

This is the second time me and my brother have stayed here. It's pretty decent. Ideal for the ferry port. Staff are always super helpful as well. We were on our cycles and there is a decent lock up area to store bikes in. You do have to take the bikes down some stairs though. Bedroom was OK. A bit basic but adequate for 1 night. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good with plenty of choice. Only 1 coffee machine working though. It's a 10 minute stroll into the town centre, which is worth a visit. Would recommend staying here.

The personal approach...help us find parking and somewhere to eat on foot right next door...just very genuine and personable!

Bigger bathroom...option to have both a quiet room and one with a bath as well and look at increasing on site parking as allocated spaces do disappear v quickly

Position is ideal for the ferry. Parking was good but I was there early to grab the last secure parking place. Breakfast was really good and open early for the ferry.

Would've liked to have aircon, but the cost of the room makes that unrealistic. Evening meal was a bit restricted.
