The staff are very nice. And fine service. In fact, I liked the stay very much because of the staff who work in the restaurant

The staff were lovely, the whole place was clean, the wi-fi was good, and I appreciated the curtains around the beds which I've only seen in Asia before. There was a socket by the bed and enough room to store my backpack beside it. I was in Lyon for a concert and it was easy to take the metro then a tram to the LDLC Arena. The hostel staff offered to print out my ticket, which was nice. Also easy to get there from the airport. If you want to avoid climbing the hill every time you go back to the hostel, take the metro to Croix-Rousse and walk downhill from there. There's a nice view over Lyon on the way.

Simple rooms with mordern aesthetic, all the necessary things supplied (like shampoo, shower gel, handwash, towels...). The bar-restaurant was very nice, and the food and drinks quite tasty. The location is good as there are a lot of bars, cafes, restaurants around and it's a nice walk to the city centre. The metro and bus stop is also nearby. The staff was friendly and cheerful. Although I didn't use it, it was nice to know there was a kitchen and laundry room available.

There is nothing I didn't like as such. I would appreciate a kettle and/or a coffee machine in the room. I think it's also worth keeping in mind that the way to the hotel is quite uphill, which might be an issue for people with limited mobility.

I enjoyed the wonderful associates (staff members/ employees). Their endeavors enhance the service qualities for the visitors, as well as for me. In fact, they help me with WiFi uses. I greatly appreciate them for helping the visitors (who book the nights to stay there) to procure essential services. Helping them to print key documents from WiFi and accommodating the needs of current young adult families with young children (under 10 years-old) comprise some of these key services. We appreciate your special evening gathering events. Some of your associates (employees/ staff members) procured wonderful cocktail drinks (such as rums). I thank them for those worthwhile services, which many visitors and I gladly paid for them. I thank you all for Free Breakfast included, on behalf of visitors (who book to stay at your site for several consecutive nights).

Lyon comprises of a wonderful urban site. With so much sprawling throughout the metropolis, as well as adjacent areas (such as Villeurbane), having wonderful printed maps (which are sufficiently detailed, but facile for most visitors to follow) would be great. You have limited supplies of those. Hopefully, you have more of them. However convenient the Internet services are, those Internet systems run into issues. Visitors from Britain, United States and East Asia often have only domestic services, necessitating them to use the WiFi at hostel. Elsewhere, the WiFi usually run into issues. Thus, having printed copies of maps of Lyon would be great.

The breakfast was good value for money. The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was fantastic (basically 10 minutes on foot from most places of interest in Lyon). The staff were very helpful: on the first night, I figured out that I wasn't athletic enough to get into the bed I had been assigned (the railings were too high, and I am not very flexible), so they immediately reassigned me to a new one, at a quarter to midnight!

To be honest, I don't really know what could be better. Everything seemed perfect. I couldn't say anything negative about this place unless I lied.

This is easily one of the best hostels in the world. Each staff member is super kind and in contagious joyful spirits from check in to check out 💞. Thank you so much for everything - 10 +++💖. Beds were lovely cosy and comfy and had great privacy with the curtains provided at the end of the bed and all areas in the hostel were spotless clean. Breakfast was very nice (I chose express breakfast) Fabulous hostel in Lyon and the hostel has great facilities - also a luggage storage. Would love to stay here again in the future and highly recommend Pilo Hostel.

The location was good. In the cute neighborhood of Croix Rousse. (It is very hilly but its possible to take the train above the hostel and then walk downhill most of the time.) I liked how clean and modern the place is. It is great to have a kitchen to use which was also kept quite clean and nice.

The cubicles are very small (short). It isn't possible to sit up in your cube. Also the kitchen was nice but was missing some basic things like a spatula and only had 1 spoon in the whole kitchen (but about 30 forks). It would be great if there was some outdoor chill area that wasn't part of the restaurant.

Nice property as a whole, very clean, very good location, within reasonable walking distance to Vieux Lyon and Croix-Rousse. Good wifi and big lockers. Beds have individual sockets for charging. Excellent staff, especially friendly, helpful, and awesome Jordane in the restaurant section! 💛 Really enjoyed my stay here overall!

The room (8-bed female dorm) was too small for so many people. The design is quite poor and the cube beds felt suffocating because of the small space. This room would work better as a 6-person dorm. Also, there were not enough hooks and no shelving in bathroom / showers, which was impractical.

The staff is very friendly and ready to help in case of any issues. Also, the kitchen is equipped with almost everything you need in case you want to cook, but if you don't, there is a restaurant and bar downstairs.

If you arrive by bus and with a heavy luggage, it might be not easy to carry it since the place is situated uphill, plus the asphalt on the sidewalk is not flat. Also, since I was staying in a room with 16 beds, there was a guest making too much noise at nights. Luckily, the staff was able to rearrange the guests very quickly and solved this issue the next day.

Newer updated facility compared to the last few I've stayed at. The beds were comfortable and private with curtains. The shower had enough room to dry off and get dressed. For a room with 18 beds overall, it was pretty quiet and decently clean. The restaurant/ garden space was huge and the value for the breakfast was great. It was within walking distance to a huge area of shops and dining. I would definitely stay there again.

The elevator wasn't working when I arrived and I had just walked with my luggage in the heat to the hostel from the bus stop. My room was on the 7th floor. Then my locker was jammed so I had to go back down to get help with that. It would be nice if they would check the beds/ lockers for any deficiencies before renting it again. Which I'm seeing with most hostels.
