June 2024

In general the place is very interesting because of its history and most staff were very nice and helpful. Specially Abdul who welcomed us in the night because a delay in our flight and Nikita who looked after our early leave picnic (I ordered in advance but there were miscommunication) This location is good for families (swimming pool was the reason why we chose to stay here) but it's important to know it's based in a working class neighbourhood. For me this is not a problem but it's true it's a pity the surrounding are not specially cleaned. In addition, the 21st June was the music festival we could feel the city was a bit out of control. However I am sure Marseille must be a place to stay more time and enjoy surroundings. The city has become very touristy so it was hard to find original places. Last, if you like street art, then, you probably will enjoy Marseille as I did.

With all due respect, I didn't like when I went to reception and I did ask for recommendations for families and I did receive a response such I don't know it's up to you. Despite I am not french native speaker, I did avoid speaking English always and from my experience in hospitality, I would just give few recommendations. Of course I got a recommendation to visit Palais Longchamp, and it's ok but they could have mentioned 'La Friche Belle de Mai" for example, which it's a good spot to start (unfortunately the time we went there were not activities or they were fully booked).

The surrounding outside really beautiful and the staff super friendly

We were on delayed flight couldnt get in touch with the hotel (phone not going through), so we had noone to open the front gate. The area didnt appear safe luckily taxi driver waited for someone who was smoking outside to come let us in. When we arrived to the main reception door it was locked with lights off. We waited around the building for at least 15mins before walking around to look for people (i was also travelling with a 3year old). just as we were about to ring booking.com we found the bar area and the staff there took us to the reception where a guy was "chilling" in the dark on his phone facing the reception door where we were before. I was annoyed as i wondered if he had seen us banging on the door for 30mins.

Lovely place, really clean and tidy Pool was really good, but not too deep. (1.4m) Restaurant and bar are really handy. They have their own van, so they can drop you in Town, just reserve the seat.

Rooms are cleaned once a week, just on Mondays. So, they won't be cleaned if you get 6 days starting on Monday. That's included new towels or toilet paper. You'll need to ask if you want. Might be an issue.

Spacious bedrooms, good breakfast, nice pool, spa/gym

It’s in a rather scruffy residential neighbourhood and is long walk or a shuttle bus ride to the nearest areas of interest. Breakfast finishes at 9am which is quite early for a hotel aimed at tourists rather than business people. Shuttle bus has to be pre-booked - we arrived when it was due to leave but they wouldn’t let us on (even though empty!) because we had not pre-booked. Rooms are not serviced for stays if less than 4 days. You only get one sachet of coffee per person for your entire stay!

Every day a changing diner buffet of good quality. Breakfast was every day the same but good. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Beds were comfy. We had a lovely stay!!!

The location is a bit out of the center, but it was perfectly for us to park the car safe at the hotel. The free shuttle brings you to a good starting point to start sightseeing the city. The room had automatic and central controlled heating/cooling, not controllable in your room. For us it was a bit too warm at night, so we opened the window.

The staff were all very friendly and happy to help us in English as well. The hotel is beautiful with a wide range of offers & a cozy family vibe. We felt very comfortable and really enjoyed our 4 night stay. Free shuttle service is also a great way to get to the city center and was always on time.

Breakfast and dinner have many good solutions for hungry stomach. Bar have good cocktail. Park have nice relax places.

Cleanless - room, restaurant (plate, ...), window at hotel, ... In room for 4, coffee only for 2, without glasses for water,... In hotel many of stuff don't speak English, Deutsch at all.

Staff were friendly, particularly the shuttle driver who had great suggestions for where to go and even showed us how to navigate the metro. Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room were perfect. Loved the pool and other outdoor areas too.

The pool does not open until 10am and closes again at 6pm which we thought was unfortunately early.

Everything was clean and ok - just what one expects from a hotel. The staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was very good, with a lot of choice. The shuttle bus was also very convenient.

The large building and spacious hallways and breakfast room gave it a bit of a dormitory vibe. But that was not really a problem - just the common space wasn’t as cosy as in some other hotels.
