The photos and the description do not do the accommodation justice. The kitchen is spacious with plenty of workspace and all the equipment you could want. There is a large dining table. There is a separate living area with TV and another large dining table & chairs. There is a downstairs cloakroom. The bedrooms are large and airy. There is outside seating and dining, a pool and a large grassed area for any children or adults to run round. There are stairgates at the top and bottom of the stairs if you have youngsters. Bonus! The host was always available and was very helpful. N.B. there are refuse bins, but glass bottles have to go to the recycling - there's one behind the church
Us older people often have poor night vision, and as the route to the accommodation is involves a rough path, a little more outside lighting on a PIR along the path would have helped. Similarly, the PIR lighting leading to one of the bedrooms along the landing took a little to long to come on for me. But that's me because I have already had one broken arm this year - I am overly cautious.

Great room, fantastic pool and very nice grounds - nice breakfast supplied very tasty. very friendly host.
I was disappointed that there was no evening meal option and wine tours as advertised. Also no kettle in room, luck we had our van with us. communication with host was poor.

Breakfast was fab, the lady who ran the place was brilliant - very friendly and attentive. Not that we used it but the pool looked stunning. The room was spacious and the area the residents had to themselves lovely, with lots of wine books etc to pore over. Location wise excellent as you are right on the edge of the Medoc wine region so everywhere is within very easy access.
The loo was a shocker - very stained and dark round the back and the U bend. It wouldn't rake much to sort thaf but really did marr rhe experience. There is also no sign for the place, no directions on the website, and Google takes you to the wrong place, and we drove past it several times before finding it. A shrug of the shoulders won't fix the problem - decent signage would! The bed was a bit hard but I slept ok. The only other downside is that there is very little open nearby off season, and not a lot in the room, so make sure you have a book! Oh and bring toiletries and a decent towel, as they don't even supply soap in the bathroom and the one towel they do provide is like a postage stamp.

The house and garden are pretty and charming.
Don‘t expect that it is possible to have dinner or a wine tasting at the location. We asked 4 days ahead and it was the only reason why we chose this place. But our request was ignored and when we arrived and asked for it for the next day, the answer was that they need more than 1 day to organize it. Not ok as the option for dinner & wine tasting was promised in the description. The pool was dirty and the whole place felt a bit neglected.

No airconditioning, no shampoo, little bit of soap on sink (we later learned that this soap was meant to be shampoo and soap combined).Decoration of apartment poor, dusty old sofa.
