We arrived at the Stanley Hotel, which is conveniently located near the city center of Nancy. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. They even upgraded us to a 4-bed room, even though we were just two people—such a nice surprise! Finding parking took about 30 minutes, but we eventually found a spot a few streets away. Parking was free until 10:00 am the next day, which was very convenient. Breakfast, included in our booking, was fantastic and refreshing. There was also complimentary coffee and tea available at the entrance, which was a nice touch. We’ll definitely be back at the Stanley Hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The only minor issue was occasional noise from other guests passing by our room, but it was understandable and didn’t affect our stay too much.

The staff are all wonderfully friendly and helpful. The water station in the lobby with cold, cool, and hot water with teas and flavorings was a wonderful feature, plus some tempting little pieces of cake on offer. We appreciated the invitation to help the environment by filling the provided glass bottle with drinking water, using our towels twice, and the unbleached-but-soft toilet paper. Breakfast was a great buffet in a charming basement dining room, well worth the additional charge. Our room turned out to be a sort of suite with extra beds and many pillows. Luggage storage during a day trip was also very welcome.

Summer travellers should be warned that this is a very old building and there is no air-conditioning in the rooms. We were fortunate to arrive just as a cold front and thunderstorm came through, and there was a fan in the room which helped bring in the cooler air. The street is being repaved, and the entrance to the hotel is not immediately obvious.

We had a lovely room, tastefully decorated with a view of the square across the street - but it was super quiet thanks to some serious double windows. The shower was nice and hot with plenty of hot water. Fluffy towels and nice touches in the room like our own kettle and an old fireplace. There is free coffee, tea, flavoured water and little cakes in the lobby. We left our luggage with the front of house staff while visiting Nancy after checking out. Everyone was super friendly!

The location was perfect, the staff were friendly helpful and knowledgeable and the room was great. Hot shower/ bath and comfortable with coffee and tea facilities . Breakfast was comprehensive and excellent.

The sound through the ceiling was bad. At 2am the people above were making sure I didn’t sleep- very noisy. The staff told me I should have dialed them to sort it out. Next time. I wouldn’t be put off by one bad experience. It’s a good hotel. Photo is in breakfast room.

I liked the location very much, close to the railway station and at the beginning of one of the main shopping streets. Additionally, in front of the hotel is a small park, nice place to stop for a while.

The only thing that I didn't like is not connected to the hotel - the street that connects the hotel with the main square is partly closed because of the construction works.

The hotel was cozy and clean. The staff members were friendly and treated each question or necessity with warmth and kindness. The location is a good spot if looking for safety in a central area. I found it very thoughtful that there is water, tea and syrops available near the reception, during the whole day and night.

I booked a Single Room and was pleasantly surprised at how light and spacious it was, with large doors opening onto quaint little balcony. Location was excellent. Staff at Reception Desk were very friendly & provided excellent info: for example, of a Light Show on the Saturday evening in Place Stanislas (which Tourist Info Office had failed to mention!). It was spectacular! Plan to visit the City again next year & will most definitely stay here again.

Cannot fault anything

We loved our cosy clean convenient secure apartment. Close to the station, we became masters of the underground. The apartment was everything our hosts said and more. If we had a querie our hosts endeavoured to solve it. Superb

There was a difficulty with the gps location with uber, but we should have just got the train which was plan B. Not the hosts fault

The location, design of the room and the hotel have beautiful and cosy color shades. It’s not too extreme and not too ordinary. Perfect combo of yellow shades with a dark grey ones make you feel like you are in a sunny room even in the evening time. I like those little retro French pictures all over the place. Vintage mirrors also give the hotel certain charm. Despite the walls are a bit thin, but still the location and hospitality of the staff wins. If you want a quick and comfortable stay in Nancy I highly recommend this one. PS also it has an elevator and free coffee spot near reception area.

Modern, contemporary & quirky

The rooms are very small, shower door doesn’t meet so therefore water gets on the floor & the room was so hot. The fan that’s provided did nothing but spread warm air! The breakfast is very expensive for what you get, if we stayed again I wouldn’t pay extra for breakfast I’d rather go out get a coffee & croissant.
