The staff helped me store my bike for the night in a secure garage. The dinner was very good....the chef cooks great homely food. The fish was excellent. The hotel was quiet.

No milk in the room, so had to have black coffee. Other than that, it was a good stay.

The hotel was pleasantly furnished, clean and the room we booked comfortable. The new 2-year old double glazed windows were very effective against the noise of passing traffic. However this may not apply comes the summer if you wish/need to sleep with the window open. The evening meal and breakfast were very good.

Lovely hotel great stopover. We had a family room it was very clean and spacious. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it looked very busy. We only stayed for one night on our way home but would have liked to have stayed longer.

Ok breakfast. Nothing memorable but the room is great and the service was excellent. Our main concern was getting an early breakfast because we had a long day's cycling ahead - the hotel obliged!

Very comfortable family room, nice and spacious

The hotel is in an excellent location in attractive town. We were greeted by a friendly manager who offered to help us with our luggage, an offer we declined as we don't normally have any problems with carrying our suitcases up stairs. However see my comments (below) about the upper staircase.

Our room was on the second floor and the staircase to that floor did not have a handrail. This is potentially dangerous, particularly for older folk (we are both in our 80s) and even more so when descending. I was very surprised at this cavalier attitude to the safety of the guests. Maybe something will be done about it now that I have brought it to your attention. The only air conditioning was provided by a fan which was not only noisy but was ineffective. The menu at dinner was presented to us on a "sandwich board" placed by the side of our table and which made it difficult to read. We did not like this and were disappointed that this hotel used such a method. It would have been nice to have received an itemised bill when we checked out but this was not the case.

The manager refused to let us stay as he was unable to provide dinner. His chef booked us into a nearby hotel where they only had a very very small room but they were able to give us dinner. We were NOT no show and do not expect to be charged.

The manager was stressed and showed us a mail asking us if we wanted dinner. That mail was sent to Booking, we were never asked if we wanted dinner by him or you.
