We stayed in room 4 on the ground floor which had recently been renovated. The room was exceptionally large And clean with a REALLY comfortable bed, and the softest ever pillows, and quality duvet which meant we had an awesome night’s sleep. The ensuite was huge too, with really stylish fittings and a lovely hot rain shower. The location was perfect for walking locally, it was like going back 200 years! The parentheses restaurant recommended by the hotel was also exceptional and good value. Breakfast in the hotel was reasonably priced and perfect for us. The reception lady was very friendly too, and made us feel most welcome. we will definitely be staying again!

It was a little chilly in the morning a small electric heater would have been good for the bedroom as the central heating was not on (or working?) in the bedroom. The towel heater in the ensuite was great though. But luckily the weather was still temperate so it only was noticeable in the morning.

Nifty older building. Locked courtyard in which I could store my bicycle. My room had wooden beams and a view up to the cathedral. The location was in the old part of this incredibly picturesque walled town and within a few minutes I could visit the cathedral and see the town walls. Many restaurants and bars and stores were within a 10 minute walk. Excellent breakfast was lots of choice including boiled eggs and a couple local cheeses.

My room had not been updated recently and felt a little worn. The walls are thin and I could really hear my neighbors, but I had earplugs and slept well.

Staff were accommodating to our very late check in (due to travel issues). Nice sized family room and a quiet and restful nights sleep in a fantastic little town, well worth a visit and so pleased we stopped here.

For those of us lucky enough to have experienced stays in fine hotels worldwide, this hotel is somewhat basic, but seems perfectly in keeping with the feel of the town and has a charm and ambience that suits just fine.

the hotel is very centrally located (google maps struggled a little to direct us there so follow the signs in the town!) just a short walk from the church and pedestrian area. We had a family room for four which was really large, two separate rooms and shower area.

Unfortunately it doesn't have air con or fans. it is a big old building with shutters so it wasn't too hot but just to be aware.

It is a beautiful very old building transferred into a hotel, with a very nice renovation. We liked the family style, but very professional service and very welcoming attitude. Room was great, breakfast was good. And location was right in the old center of the village

wi-fi was not very fast, but we didn't ask to improve as we stayed only for 1 night. the rest was great!

The hotel is independent and has no chain affiliations. It is beautifully and conveniently situated and totally in keeping with the surrounding heritage. Rooms are comfortable and ours was sympathetically updated with everything working very well. Breakfast is served by humans. Parking is easy.

The room we were given had recently been refurbished and was lovely and fitted out with all the latest technology. The shower room was very well equipped. Breakfast was good. When we checked in we were given a a map of the old town and given a suggested walking route to get the best feel for the town and also location of good restaurants. Parking in the courtyard is a bonus.

no problem with anything

Location is very central, the hotel is using their backyard as a car park for guests so it was easy to park too. Although it is also bit of shame, that yard could have been a very nice garden or restaurant terrace. The staff was very accommodating and spoke English. We only stayed two nights but after the first one, we had our room cleaned and given fresh towels, which was unexpected for 2 star hotel.

I would appreciate one more pillow.

The staff was extremely kind and helpful. We arrived late and the receptionist not only waited for us beyond her regular working hours, she also used her connections to arrange for us a diner in a restaurant of the village despite the late hour. And the next day, breakfast was fabulous !

Ample room in the attic with beautiful wood furniture. Very quiet. Romantic. Free parking inside property. Friendly staff. We would stay there again.

No elevator. Breakfast could be better. No air conditioning. Yet the day was unusually hot. Because it was very quiet, we slept with open windows.
