We had the most wonderful stay at Maison Durante. Our original accommodations were canceled on us the day we were supposed to arrive in Nice. In a pinch, found Maison Durante and fully believe it was the biggest blessing in disguise! The staff was absolutely amazing and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their customer service was beyond what we could have ever imagined. To top it all off was breakfast, I can't even begin to explain how great breakfast was. The chef was so sweet and explained every single thing that was offered, and did I mention it was all from scratch... Absolutely phenomenal! We would highly recommend anyone to stay here and both agreed it was the best hotel we've ever stayed at. It was an amazing experience and we hope that one day we can come back.

The staff is very friendly, especially Sandra at reception and the kitchen personnel. The hotel is very stylish and cozy, with a lovely garden, reception area and corridors. Breakfast had a very friendly atmosphere, with a lot of options. During warmer weather I am sure people can make use of the garden for breakfast as well. We were upgraded to a better room, which was also a great bonus for us. The room was freshly refurbished, clean and very pleasant. I would also like to make note of the shower, which was very comfortable and easy to operate. Comfortable bed, coffee machine on the hotel floor and in the room. The Hotel is located close by the train station, and a walking distance to Place Massena, the beach etc. Our windows were facing the internal garden and at night it was very quiet.

A lovely hotel - the staff were excellent, really friendly and attentative. The rooms were well presented with a lovely courtyard and the train station was just a few minutes walk away making it a perfect base for travel. Of particular highlight was the continental style breakfast - a beautiful selection so carefully made by their chef who was present making eggs and other foods to order - a real treat and one of the best breakfast experiences we've had.

Being so close to the train station made the walk to the beach and old town a little longer than we'd have liked - 15-20 minutes or so, but there are frequent trams and the walk is easy enough.

the bed is very comfortable and the staff is really friendly and polite. the outside garden is exceptional.

the cleaning is every three days but you can ask them to change the towels if needed.

Maison Durante is a wonderful boutique hotel, the staff Sandra, Manuela, Delphine and Julia go above and beyond to create a home from home experience for their guests. Delphine provided the best breakfast we’ve had in any part of the world! She made everything from the butter to the granola, savoury/sweet loafs. Her pesto scrambled eggs were beautiful! She also baked biscuits that were left for guests to have with coffee during the day, all with the biggest smile.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property. Although those with mobility issues may have difficulty with access due to the steps.

The hotel is set back in a quiet location, very close to the rail station, 20 min walk to Old Town (we bought tram/bus day passes). The staff are so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. There were coffee machines everywhere (including in our room) and a fresh water fountain. We stayed in a superior room overlooking the pretty courtyard, it looked brand new with comfy bed, huge wardrobes and a lovely large walk-in shower. Our stay was perfect and we’ll definitely stay at Hotel Durante again!

A truly sustainable hotel that makes sure every guest has free access to filtered drinking water without the use of plastic bottles. The rooms were decorated with a great sense of aesthetics, the bathrooms designed in a comfortable way. The team was friendly and very helpful. However, our hearts were won by the delicious breakfasts prepared by wonderful Delphine! You must try homemade butter with vanilla and orange, or scrambled eggs with homemade pesto! We would like to go back there again.

This hotel has everything you need to feel good and relax in a quiet place. The only thing missing was a bathrobe in my friend's room. ;-)

Very close to the train station which is ideal for going to Monaco and for catching trains to other cities. Nice room. Very clean. Kettle and small espresso maker in the room and extra pods available in the small common seating area. Everything in good repair. Quiet. Front door and room were coded so no key required. Lovely garden/courtyard area. Pity that it was a bit too cold to use in January but would be perfect in summer. Very well priced for the quality.

The wifi was erratic, dropping out intermittently and difficult to reconnect although it always worked eventually.

The staff was exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. Julie carried my large suitcase across two flights of stairs and she made a sandwich to a friend of mine who was rushing the airport and didn’t have time to grab a bite. She was truly exceptional. Sandra and Nadine were friendly and helpful as well. The location is great and 5min walk from the train station, so ideal if you’re staying in Nice to commute to other places. It’s about a 15min walk to the seaside and 20min to the Old Town. I was also upgraded to a suite, which was a lovely and unexpected gesture. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

There are too many stairs and not elevators. It’s not an accessible property. There was also an issue with the AC in my room. I didn’t feel like it was cooling enough not matter what I did to temperature dial.
