We had a great stay, perfect location for a city trip to Paris, hotel is situated in one of the most vibrant parts of Paris with lots of great shops, bars and restaurants. I really like the "old" look and feel of the hotel; the carpet in the hall and corridors, the "antique" atmosphere of the whole hotel. Staff was friendly and rooms clean.

- The 4th bed in our family room was broken and replaced on arrival day after reporting it the first time, but that second bed was broken too. Hotel was not able to fix/replace this 2nd bed, during our stay. Our pragmatic solution was putting the mattress on the floor and the broken bed aside. Not a big issue for us because our 12 year old slept there, but regarding the price I would have expected a solution. - I think it can be really hot in the summer, because there is no airco. Be aware of that.

Several women and men worked at the front desk during our week-long stay They were ALL excellent, and 2 - a man and a young lady - were outstanding! Sooo friendly, patient and helpful! I’m so sorry that I’ve forgotten their names! They shared information about the city, took messages from friends who were trying in vain to contact us (because the new SIM cards in our phones were useless) Breakfast, served in the charming used-to-be wine-cellar, was comprehensive, plentiful and DELICIOUS! And, all the guests were friendly. We LOVED the area! So much to do and see within walking distance, especially restaurants. Abd, le Metro was close. I’d be happy to move in permanently. [I was traveling with my 15-year-old granddaughter]

the location of this hotel is the best- really lively area, walking distance to everything - the room was really charming - and for what you find in paris - huge - also has a fridge which is a great bonus, all the staff were really friendly and helpful. this was a trip for my daughters 12th birthday, i asked for chocolates and balloons and they had those waiting, plus a really sweet birthday card - and everyone wished her a happy birthday - lastly, we loved to hotel cat :-)

Location was so convenient for our visit. The Hotel and hotel staff were wonderful. We especially loved the use of the cellar for the breakfast room. The Hotel had so much charm and character. I would definitely recommend it to others. Being foreign (from Australia) with limited ability to speak French, we found the staff in particular were very accomodating and helpful.

It would have been good to have more control over the temperature of the room as it was a bit too hot! The instructions for the safe were incorrect. The manual said to use a 4 digit code and the staff corrected the issue with a 3 digit code. Then we couldn't close the dafe so we stopped using it.

The location was exceptional: close to cafes, shopping, metro and bus stops and yet not too busy, as some other Paris neighborhoods seemed to be. The hotel was quiet and the room spacious with a sitting area and plenty of storage. The bathroom area was set apart and was also quite large and user-friendly.

Hand towels in the public bathroom rather than individual paper towels didn't seem hygienic to me. The housekeeping was not as good and detailed as I would have liked. Dust was evident on some wood surfaces and used cutlery in our room was not replaced until the following day.

Hotel at a perfect location, on a small street, quiet and clam. We read previous comments regarding the small elevator, it wasn't an issue for us, we didn't wait a long time to get up\down. The staff was very very kind and welcoming.

Hotel is under renovations currently, so our window was blocked. The room is a little out-dated and could use some renewing (we saw some small tears in the single bed mattress). There is an elevator, but for our room, you still had to go through some stairs after going out from the elevator, could be a problem for people with disabilities.

They were very accommodating because it was a last minute booking. The room was a suite and very French. Sleeping portion was a bit dark and there were no outlets near the beds. Also, the light switch when off turned off the outlet. So that was tricky. The mattress was like a thick futon so a bit firm for me. Not sure what it would be like staying in warm weather because there did not appear to be AC. We had to use fans because it was warm at night and with windows open was too loud outside. But overall, the location and extra space made it very worthwhile. The cleaning staff was also very thorough.

Felt historic and yet modern. Visited as a family and felt comfortable. My teenage daughter loved it. Excellent location. Neighborhood restaurants, recommended by hotel, are friendly, too.

Well, I took French all fall at Alliance Française. As others tend to mention, though, these highly capable hoteliers tend to switch to English as soon as I say bonjour.

The location is fantastic, right in Marais close to restaurants and shopping. Special thanks to front desk staff Eduardo. We lost our luggage on our flight to Paris and were rather stressed over it. He was diligent in helping us call the airline & courier company. When the luggage finally arrived on the day of our departure at 1am , he called and delivered to our room. Merci Beaucoup Eduardo !!

Room is abit dated and no AC so it’s hot and stuffy at night (in May)

I really enjoyed my stay here. I had a king sized, super comfy bed. I had two complimentary cool water bottles, fizzy and still, in the fridge. There was also complimentary tea and coffee. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was also very roomy. The whole room had a lot of natural light as it had several windows. Mine was in a corner, which allowed me two views of this very lively neighbourhood. They are super pet friendly, not charging me a cent for bringing my dog with me. Staff were also very professional and polite.

I'd rather I had had a shower and not a bathtub. My room didn't have air conditioning, which is generally not an issue in Paris, except during and exception summer heatwave.
