Exceptional Staff and Service I recently stayed at Hôtel de l'Abbaye and was thoroughly impressed by the level of service provided. The hotel itself exudes elegance and comfort, but what truly stands out is the exceptional staff. They were consistently helpful, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant and comfortable. A Special Mention I would like to give a special shoutout to a particular staff member, whose name escapes me, but his dedication and hospitality left a lasting impression. Originally from the Middle East, his warm and welcoming demeanour made our experience at the hotel truly memorable. His attention to detail and readiness to assist with any request were commendable. Overall Experience Overall, my stay at Hôtel de l'Abbaye was nothing short of wonderful. From the luxurious amenities to the impeccable service, everything was top-notch. The hotel's charm, coupled with the staff's exceptional service, makes it a highly recommendable choice for anyone visiting the area. This hotel has a history. It once was a monastery it now is a charming mix of period decor and modern amenities in a location that makes it a great base camp for visiting every site in Paris and beyond. We loved the hidden garden restaurant, the generous breakfast, and cocktail hour tidbits served there. The property seemed to have quite a few repeat guests as well as a mix of younger folks. This is NOT a pllace where you will find huge tour groups. The desk people were beyond helpful giving us directions, recommending restaurants, and making reservations for us.

The air conditioning was very weak in our too. But not our friends’ and we were there for 8 days of 90 degree weather.

We only purchased the breakfast once as it was very expensive and quite ordinary. We are not asked which of the hot entrees we would like and had to ask. Coffee was a bit cool. We preferred walking out to a nearby cafe. The location is fantastic and close enough to walk to almost anything we wanted to see.

We were offered a lovely garden facing room but the bed was small. We asked and were offered another room with a large bed and even larger bath. There are so many different room types that it is difficult to choose just the right one.

What a stunning hotel in a beautiful part of Paris - located in the Saint Germain, 6th Arr - this hotel offered very comfy rooms, an excellent small enclosed garden to the rear plus exceptional staff and service. It is always the small attentions to detail that matter such as a welcoming note and local made macarons, a willingness to help, friendly and interested staff coupled with where best to eat, drink and enjoy local places of interest. With Jardin du Luxembourg, Les Deux Magots, quality shopping and easy walking distance to the Seine and beyond - the Hotêl de l'Abbaye makes it an excellent choice. Would thoroughly recommend plus my better half and I have agreed that anytime we are in Paris - this is where we will stay !!!! Thank you !!!!!!

It’s a beautiful home-from-home, elegant, wonderful staff, glorious breakfasts and comfortable, charming lounge. Have been going for years & will be in years to come. The location is ideal too.

My room was a little fusty & old fashioned. Excellently appointed & in very well kept condition. But it’s a tiny issue that I overcame by burning a candle & swinging wide the blinds to let the sun & the view of the garden pour in!

Most of the staff were very polite and helpful. We had problems with Lufthansa not delivering our luggage for 3 days. The front desk staff helped to resolve this. In all respects they were very helpful, but I cannot say that all were equally polite. The breakfast area was very pleasant, with the possibility to enjoy fresh air in their little yard. The location was convenient for walking to most sights in Paris. Our room was not very spacious, but everything we needed was well organized.

There could have been more variety for breakfast. After 5 days, one learns what is tasty and what is not. The sugar coated bread seems to be universally left uneaten by most guest. It can be easily replaced with something that is more appreciated.

This forty-four room hotel, once an abbey, is very charming and very French. The accommodations were delightful, the English speaking staff was friendly and helpful, and the lovely gardens was a great place to eat a delicious breakfast. We were seven adult family members in four rooms, and some were first time visiters to Paris, others were seasoned. We all agreed that apart from our overall excellent stay, the hotel's quiet location put us right in the center of our site visits with convenient access to all modes of transportation.

Lovely quintessential small Parisian hotel. Lovely garden area for breakfast, and sitting area in the entry garden area. Rooms on the small size but adequate for my 5 night stay and typical for Paris. The hotel's interior decor was absolutely lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful; the reception was available 24 hours. Will stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Paris.

Visited in June so the hotel was expensive and breakfast was extra. However it was not the usual tourist buffet but your own waiter and quality fresh made items.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. It’s visibly well managed with a long-standing team of staff. Extremely polite and professional in a way that is rare to come by when so many hotels are manned by one inexperienced receptionist. Our large bedroom was perfect- silent air con, already set to the right temperature so no fiddling about. No awful bad taste art or ornaments but elegant and simple. A window that opened onto a nice view and everything you needed. Plus no blinking red and blue lights on TV or air con so proper peace at night. Everything worked! There is a beautiful quiet garden with a fountain where meals are served- a real oasis of peace. If only all hotels were like this.

It was all absolutely perfect.
