I really liked the room. Even though it was a little bit smaller than I expected but it was very cosy and clean. The staff were very nice as well. Plus even though it was a bit far from the most of the attractions, location wise I'd say it pretty good. There were a lot of restaurants and fast food places near the place. As a Muslim, found some halal food options near the hotel as well. Overall, I loved the experience.

The location of the property is fantastic just a few meters from Moulin Rouge, restaurants, caffès, shops and metro stations. All the staff is super friendly and there is always someone at the reception desk. If you are going to be in the city all day long and going to the hotel just to sleep it’s a good value. Didn’t had any breakfast or any food from the hotel so can’t comment on. You leave your key at the reception desk when you leave the hotel and get it back when you arrive. The main entrance is locked during the late hours so the extra bit of safety. Someone will come and clean your room and arrange the bed for you every day and bring clean towels.

The only this we didn’t like is bed. The mattress was way too soft and your middle part of the body will sink in like you are in a cloud so the sleep was not the most comfortable. The rooms may need at least ours a bit a refresh.

My room on the top floor was a good size (bigger than I seen in Paris previously. The room was spotlessly clean and had a comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. The bathroom was small but very clean and modern. Owners are very friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome and safe as a solo traveller. There are many dining options within a short walk and I found a supermarket nearby for other provisions. I would stay again for sure as the price was excellent. But for the small points below I would have rated this place 10/10

There was no hanging rail in the cupboard area (looks like there was one there before so perhaps needs replaced). The shower tray leaked a little meaning the mat on the floor got very wet. Minor issue and easy fixed - I did forget to mention it to them. Not an issue for me personally but bear in mind there are 57 steps to the top floor if you have any mobility issues (spiral type staircase).

The location of the hotel is just so perfect. You are literally 3 mins away from the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret and Place de Clichy metro station. The hotel was well maintained with regards to cleanliness and the staff was very humble and welcoming. In fact they even took up my request to change my room to a higher floor and helped me with my shifting. I would highly recommend Hotel Hippodrome for your stay in the city of Love, Paris.

The property is very well located close to Montmartre and other tourist attractions. Easy reachable by bus or underground to around 90% of them. Plenty of places to choose from when you’re eating out. 5 minutes away from the Les Deux Moulins (where Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain was filmed) and Moulin Rouge. The room was quite confortable, with modern furniture and nee bathroom and even though it doesn’t have aircon the temperature was alright even with 30 degrees outside.

The hotel could use a new carpet on the stairs and the towels more often replaced. Mine smelled a bit funny.

- No lift (I had to carry my luggage downstairs by myself) - No luggage room in the lobby (I was a bit worried about the safety) - The door of my room couldn't be locked from the inside so technically everyone could walk in (again, worried about my safety) - Some holes here and there in the bathroom - The right bedlamp didn't work

Old building with old-fashioned but clean rooms. Great atmosphere. A bit tight and minimalistic but as a solo traveller I tend to like it. Very nice and friendly staff who make great coffee!

A bit dusty, and feathered pillows aren't great for people with allergies. Should've asked to remove them before the visit so that's on me

the staff is very friendly, very nice people. The location is great, there are restaurants around and the moulin rouge is just a few meters away. The train station is super close and it makes it super easy to go around Paris because it’s easy and simple to use the train.

the walls are thin so you can hear other people walking and talking, I was lucky that the room next to me was empty. but if you are a tourist and not planning to stay in the room all the time I don’t think it’s a problem.

Thank you Philip for the great hospitality. We felt home. Property was very close to Moulin Rouge, and both bus and metro station. I also like montmarte region, we had 24 hours and we saw a lot of things thanks to centrality. Room was clean. There was no noise. All staff were friendly.

Everything was nice for me. Maybe for those who need, it’s better to know there’s no elevator, and in our room some facilities such as toilet door was broken. But it was still a good experience for the good price, I would stay there again.

Location close to metro and Montmarte was great, and friendly staff!

Didn't get all my requests fulfilled but overall had a good stay!
