As many reviews have mentioned, this is a step back in time, but it’s a good place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Although they don’t speak much English and our French is poor, we managed to communicate just fine. As in most French hotels the room was quite small, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless with a good shower and it was very quiet for a restful sleep. If you want something modern and upscale this is not for you. It was in a great location… walking distance to Montparnasse and St. German. there are 2 cafe’s close by… Judy’s delicious breakfast ( gluten free.. unusual for Paris) and a big coffee and Bread and Roses, also a delish breakfast.

The room was perfect for what I paid for it. I wanted a room that was in a great location, and that I felt comfortable going back to at the end of the night as a solo female traveler. The employees there made me feel welcome. Every time I stepped in the door it felt like I was greeting friends in the morning and at the end of the night. Not to mention two Metro stations were within a few minutes walking distance so the location was perfect for sightseeing during the day! It was a very basic room, on the smaller side and is a bit older, the decor hadn't been updated in a while. That being said, I wasn't in Paris to hang out in my hotel room, just to sleep there, and for that it did the job completely fine. I would most definitely consider staying here again should I come back to Paris in the future!

This property is tended to and maintained by their owners who were super friendly, courteous and helpful. The building is historical, and so it is a bit outdated, but for the price and considering it’s great location with access to bus and metro stations, cafes, bars, restaurants and mini markets as well as landmarks, our stay here helped us make the most of our visit to Paris.

Cleanliness needs improvement.

The host was super friendly and always available! The location was great, we literally walked everywhere without a single use of the metro. The room was very clean. Facilities could be renewed but other than that, it's a comfy stay for a few nights. We booked it at the last minute and it was one of the cheapest hotels with such a great location which makes it a good value for money.

The shower could be improved.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I knew what to expect as this was a budget hotel, but it really ticked all the boxes for me. It was a really reasonable price and I even got my room for a cheaper rate on the last night of stay. The location is actually superb with the Jardin a 5-minute walk away, and the subway is so convenient, a straight shot from Gare Du Nord. The proprietors of the hotel were super friendly too, which was really nice, and the room was all I needed- it was big enough to be comfy, the bathroom was fine, and it was nice and clean. Only two things to mind- there is no elevator, but this is hardly out of the ordinary for Paris hotels in older buildings, and also the street-facing room was a bit noisy- not the Hotels fault in any way, it just that city streets get a bit loud, so maybe don't do what I did and close the window at night.

Right in the centre of Paris, minutes walk from Luxembourg Gardens, public transport connections, excellent cafes and restaurants. The room was impeccably clean and had everything we needed for our short stay before a flight.

Nothing

The hotel is very authentic and atmospheric. Cozy room, the staff was very nice and friendly. Location was simply amazing, close to everything. If there's anything missing for a comfortable stay, just let the staff know, they're very nice and helpful.

The bathroom is considerably small for people like basketball-players, but for tinier people it's kind of ok :)

Location was great, the room was okay, but the bathroom was a bit small. The host didn't know English, but we still communicated wonderfully, they were very helpful.

Friendly staff. Good location. No noise from other guests and no street noise when window was closed. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean

Shower floor was very slippery. Bathroom door didn't completely close. Room would benefit from being redecorated.

The Hotel was quiet, even with our window open (facing an alley). The room was small but very cozy! Very comfortable overall and amazing staff, super friendly and happy to help if we needed anything.
