Absolutely beautiful property, the bedrooms are very spacious and lovely. Bathroom was terrific, even had a pair of scales. The owner was just a delight to be with, very helpful. A plentiful breakfast.

Possibly a fan as our room was on the west so the sun was coming in the evening. We pulled the blind, which was sufficient to block out the sun, a fan would have been great

The house was amazing. It was lovely and relaxing to be able to walk around the grounds enjoying the ambience. Our host was very welcoming and friendly. We were able to use the guest kitchen to prepare our simple meals in the evenings.

There were a few loose floor tiles in the bedroom and on the step up to the kitchen.

Breakfast was made up of small bakery items, coffee and fruit juice. Muesli, fresh fruit and yoghurt would have been a welcome option. Best part was the conversation with other guests. Our host was gracious, had made a booking for us at a very good local restaurant, and guided us to walk there and back taking quiet roads through the beautiful landscape of vineyards and occasional buildings. A delightful respite after driving along motorways and through Eurotunnel from early morning.

It is all very nice. Lovely place, kind host. Nice breakfast included. Mind you, all is the way it used to be in former days. So none of the modern over the top luxury. But all truly very lovely. Plus, the garden is heavenly. And you must visit the perfume museum!

Very nicely located in an ample private park. Car parking inside gated premises. Rooms on top floor (roof level) of old mansion, nicely arranged under the old roof trusses. Very friendly reception. Location unexpectedly quiet although near to main roads, at night there is no disturbing noise at all. An ideal base to explore the very nice landscapes of the Maconnais (Roche de Solutré, the romanesque churches around, the hills and hikes, Berzé chapel just around the corner). Breakfast served on a large table for all hosts, with fresh orange juice and yoghurt. Very comfortable room. We had one of our dinners as a picknick in the park which was really great. Very nice host, thank you for the experience!

The jacuzzi bathtub in our room was not much use. I would have preferred a shower. The small attic windows of the room permit some aeration but the room might have turned quite hot in hotter weather. It is a bit difficult to find a restaurant for dinner in the vicinity, it is best to go to Macon or Cluny for that, both at a 15 min car drive's distance.

Jacques is exceptionally friendly helpful and generous. A beautiful place with excellent facilities and a delightful country feel.

Our bedroom was very charming and very big, the bathroom has a jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was simple but good. The home has a nice garden and the location is central to visit all the villages

We didn’t have a king bed but 2 single beds attached. The extra bed we requested for our son was just a thin mattress on the floor. There are a lot of mosquitoes and no electric repellent or spray available in the room.

The host was a wonderful helpful & engaging person who made us quickly feel at home in his beautiful chateau.

Beautiful.setting, Charming host. Quite pricey, no air con, we were fine, but it may be less comfortable if you were staying on a hot day. Would deff 👌

super welcome. excellent facilities and wonderful breakfast. The fact that we arrived late and with lots of cars and vans was not a problem at all. Have never had such a warm welcome in such circumstances.
