The Hotel's park was nice to walk in. Hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. Overall our room - the Nabab- was very nice with good light and views and wonderfully restored.

The bathroom in our room was not separate but rather behind 3/4 high walls. Stairs up to the room were a challenge but not sure there is much you can do about that. The sloping nature of our room's ceiling made it difficult to sit in chairs provided. Storage for clothes was a bit small. Would benefit from the addition of a bureau or something similar. Restaurant was pleasant but not exceptional. I would recommend removing some furniture from the lobby below the skylight to make it more inviting to sit in.

The location was superb, the approach along the driveway through the gardens was stunning. Plenty of parking. Super friendly owner who explained all about the building. We had the room in the top left of the picture facing the garden, it was a delight to wake up and see the beautiful country setting of this extraordinary manor house. Breakfast was buffet style and was laid out early and catered for most appetites. Loved the pool in the basement although a little small for swimming.

Okay, so there's a few things that need fixing and refinement. The sauna isn't particularly hot, the showers in the fitness area need attention. I understand there's work in progress around the building but on the whole, these details didn't detract from the wonderful experience of staying in a stunning hotel such as this. I would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in giving a positive recommendation.

The food in the hotel was very good but you have to choose the night before. We didn't have the breakfast. They seemed a little short on staff. There was an extremely helpful young man who run the bar!! Really lovely grounds.

The bed it had a wooden edge which ran around the bed and the mattress was inside. this made it difficult for my husband who has a disability to get out of bed. They had a lift down to the swimming pool but no handrails to access the steps to get in the pool.

The setting, tranquility and style of the hotel. Breakfast was exceptionally good.

Just a couple of niggles. The broad wooden surround to the bed made it a little challenging to get out, but for younger people, that shouldn't be a problem. The room was very warm and the external door could not be left open as the shutter was inoperative. The toilet seat was loose and moved too much. Nothing serious!

We ordered a main course and dessert which were excellent and good value. It was warm so we eat outside on the terrace. Wide breakfast choice. Rooms comfortably furnished. Lovely property and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

It’s rated 4 star but not sure the service is up to that standard though it was always friendly. Decor might be getting a little tired.

Delightful old chateau set in large gardens. A most relaxing place. Pool and sauna in the basement available for private sessions . Beautiful South- East Asia themed decor ,very comfortable bed . Breakfast was excellent , plenty of of choice and dinner was delicious and as good as many top range restaurants.

Beautiful property set in private land. Huge gardens, warm and welcoming staff. Great facilities that are available for a long period of the day, everything was clean and well set up for guests. The room was spacious and bed was comfy. The restaurant served fantastic food that was full scale restaurant quality. Would 100% stay again.

It was very quiet. It was comfortable & clean. We also loved in spa area. The massage I had was very good.

Staff didn't seem readily available at the reception when you needed them and no one seemed available at breakfast when you needed to ask a question.

We booked a suite (the Nabob) which was in the roof space of the Chateau and was large, airy and very roomy. I liked the slightly "hippy" styling of the whole place. The breakfast was really nice and varied and the whole place was shot through with peace and quiet. No AC but opening the window was fine, with a cockerel sound at 8:30 as a wake up call, otherwise silence.

Arrived Sunday to find no food that evening - only "tapas" at best anyway. It meant a drive into Benodet for dinner but as the restaurant was first rate not a great hardship

Beautiful redesign of a classic country Manoir using sustainable materials on a southeast Asian theme. The atmosphere is serene and welcoming, not at all formal as I had feared. It’s peaceful and relaxing. The food was exceptional and very reasonably priced.
