Wonderful little place in the heart of the city surrounded by shops and cafes. The price was excellent and breakfast was good. The decor is quirky but quaint. Room facilities were good too
We had not realised it is in a pedestrianized area so it is necessary to park in a nearby underground car park then go on foot to the hotel. It was not a problem once we understood what what required. The hotel validate the car park ticket at a reduced rate so just be aware of the system. Because of the location the street chatter was noisy until late at night (we stayed on a weekend so maybe less revelers during the week)

The hotel looks like a postcard. In fact, there are plenty of tourists who enter the courtyard just to make a photo. The hotel also serves as a restaurant during lunchtime and as a tearoom in the afternoon. We arrived around noon and had a most enjoyable lunch there. The breakfast consists of tea/coffee/chocolate, fresh orange juice, a croissant, a baguette, youghurt and jams. We were also offered some camembert cheese (probably to remind that it's the capital of Normandy :) The rooms are basic, but everything works, and the room is warm (an important thing in December!). The staff is super nice and welcoming.
There is only one downside that you need to be aware of - the building is quite old and the walls are thin, so you will always hear the conversation in the next room. During the night you will know if your neighbors go to bathroom and whether or not their bathroom door is creaky.

We had a wonderful stay and if we ever travel back to Rouen this will be where we want to stay. The staff was so warm and welcoming and answered several of our questions. They were able to accommodate our early arrival and the rooms were so charming. The location is very near many restaurants, shopping, and we were able to walk to all of the main tourists sites we wanted to see. The breakfast was amazing. The coffee, the fresh orange juice, the croissants, etc... it was exactly what you think a French breakfast should be.
The only downside for us was that we struggled to find parking and Rouen is not an easy city to drive in. However, the hotel had sent us directions on a parking lot close to them, but we just couldn't seem to find it. The hotel is also not handicap (at least we didn't see that it was) accessible. However, they were able to accommodate my older parents on the second floor, so they didn't have as many stairs to climb.

The location was excellent for exploring Rouen. The hotel is situated in the old town within easy walking distance of all the bars, restaurants and attractions. We had a car with us and were able to park in an indoor public car park within 5 minutes walk away and the hotel gave us a voucher to get a reduced rate. The room was small and quite basic, but very clean and the decor was quirky. We were very comfortable there!
Continental breakfast was served, which was OK but there wasn’t any fruit available.

A little gem in the centre of the city. It was a perfect little piece of France. Very arty and quirky decor, a beautiful peaceful little courtyard where you could get tea and a very nice Continental breakfast with proper local produce- not a plastic pot of jam or pre wrapped butter pat in sight! Rouen itself is delightful. You can spend hours just wandering round the medieval streets and delighting in the different coloured buildings.
It was a wonderful old property so some of the fittings were a little “rusty”.

The atmosphere and location of this old coaching inn, hundreds of years old, was wonderful. It was a totally French experience. The rooms surround the courtyard, approached from a pedestrian-only street (No cars, so human voices sound louder!). Breakfast is brought to you by the owner at your table. Again, a totally French breakfast, with very fresh croissant and baguette, organic butter, jams and yogurt. With its central location, all the main sights and the train station are within 10 minutes walk.
It was a bit noisy at the weekend, but closing the double-glazed windows kept most of the sound out.

Courtyard room, very safe easy access with a coded gate. Stayed here on a biking holiday, owners friendly and very helpful, had already communicated we could store bikes inside, space was available when we arrived. Large bathroom with drying facilities (cycled there on a rainy day so very important). Comfortable, quiet room. Location fantastic and hotel nicely tucked away in a cute courtyard. We did not have breakfast but the cheese looking amazing!
Nothing.

The hotel was classic French shabby chic which we like. The location was right in the centre of the city. Everything was in walking distance. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The food was good and the public spaces, indoors and in the courtyard, were always available and comfortable.
Our room was very basic indeed, for example the hair dryer and kettle were only available on request (but they were available).

The hotel is set at a great location, right in the old city. It is a beautiful and quirky building. The picture of the entrance is very true. They have good breakfast and the staff is very friendly. Room was spacious, clean and simply decorated but very comfortable. We were in top room which required climbing up narrow staircase, which we knew about in advance and was also fine and in line with the hotel’s old time charm.

Convenient location in walking distance to the sights of the city. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. You enter through a cute courtyard with a cafe but the rooms are there too. The room was small and simple and the bathroom was spacious enough. The gate is locked in the evening so make sure you get the code if you go out for dinner. The WiFi was ok.
Lack of electrical outlets in the room.
