The welcome and facilities were all excellent. The natural swimming pool was a real treat and had a very tranquil atmosphere. We had dinner both nights at the L'Orangerie, which was excellent. Breakfast was served in the beautiful dinning room , with plenty of choices. In the evening, by the lake we were able to watch the beavers ( possibly otters, but unlikely). We cycled from here and joined the national cycle routes. Our bikes were safe on the back of our car.

Some caution about the lake and depth to get in for the canoes ...it's much deeper and more challenging than it looks..

Legitimately stunning location, eager staff, really cool rooms, unexpected touches (very good pool table/home theater), well located for exploring Anjou region and even Brittany. Owners purposely have focused on a spa experience in a somewhat isolated location, and it works. The restaurant is excellent, we actually purposely ate dinner here each night, could drink as much wine as we liked and sit out in evening air as long as possible. Very good breakfast.

Just a touch expensive, but honestly, it's well earned.

This is a spectacular hotel and our welcome was warm and we were served tea in a very large room while we waited for our room. We had arrived early but this did not faze the staff who were friendly . The charming room was lovely and we were offered the choice of two rooms next to each other. Our room had a view of a track and farm buildings which could have been a painting. Dinner at the restaurant in the evening was very good. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. A beautiful setting to wander back to our room after dinner meeting 2 funny cats on the way.

The wooden stairway and decking needs attention soon and the handrail is not secure and could be dangerous.

We had a prestige room and wasn't disappointed, lovely room. I had read some of the comments about some rooms being small so decided to go for the middle size room which was the right decision and in fact it was a very large room compared to what i expected so go for that if you can.Staff are super freindly, happy and helpful. Lovely lounge with real fire. Great natural swimming pool. Piano room with Kawai Baby grand. Nice walks. Very dog freindly, you can take dogs everywhere. Our room also had direct access oitside to the gardens. Cant recommend this place enough, very special place. Also Bed was super comfy, one of best nights sleep I've had for a long time

Beautiful chateau in lovely grounds. Amazing room and bathroom, the staff were super friendly, the food in the Franco-Italien restaurant in the Orangery was lovely and reasonably priced, and breakfast read great. Didn't use the spa or gym, but looked lovely. Exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend.

The outdoor pool was under maintenance in Oct 22, but that didn't affect us at all!

The chateau was amazing and as a one of night stay perfect for what we wanted, the room was magnificent and the facilities within the whole complex were perfect. We particularly loved the restaurant next door and had a fantastic meal. Couldn't rate the place for a getaway.

Not much to be honest, the décor is what you would expect although not to my taste it offered exactly what we expected

Truly beautiful castle, easy to reach. everything done with a lot of taste. comfortable bed.

Wi-Fi was weak in my room (very good in the restaurant). Hot water takes a long time to arrive at the shower, so a lot of cold water is wasted. May be a pump and circuit of hot water could do the trick. water is hot when it finally arrives, no complaints there

lack of security as locks on some doors simply do not work. very strong air-freshener used in the hotel making it smell like a cheap taxi.. Halloween ornaments not appropriate for a beautiful place like this..?

BEWARE when you book for some reason the default is one person, as a double room you would expect the default to be two. €40 extra was unexpected. generally the staff were not helpful or particularly friendly there was no leader /person in charge seemed dysfunctional-for example waited in lobby for 20 mins before we could find anyone.

What's not to like about this amazing Chateau de la Loire? The building itself dates to the 15th and 17th centuries. The grounds are lovely, the staff was over-the-top helpful (we happened to burst a tire and were given a list of local places where it could get repaired!) and the restaurant was divine!

There was nothing to dislike about this place! Our only regret was only staying 2 nights!
