The location was ideal for us. Close to the lake and a 20 minute walk to the grassy beach area. It was clean, lots of towels, laundry facility, big kitchen with all the amenities (dishes, microwave, large fridge with freezer, coffee maker, etc). It was a heat wave while we were there and was very warm with no a/c. Luckily we had friends in the area who leant us fans, and it had large windows and doors that opened up which helped in the evening.

As above… can be warm with the weather conditions. Some help with blocking the sun on upstairs sky light/windows would be helpful.

L’Aurore du Lac is a charming and peaceful place to stay near Annecy, offering the perfect balance of comfort, calm, and convenience. It feels tucked away, yet well-connected. We especially enjoyed the small private terrace, which made for lovely mornings and relaxing evenings. The hosts were kind, responsive, and attentive without being intrusive. Their warmth and hospitality added a personal touch that elevated the whole experience. A perfect base for exploring the Annecy area, especially if you’re looking for a quieter alternative to the busier city center. Highly recommended.

The location/premises was chosen for peace and quiet, and to ensure we had somewhere safe and secure to park our expensive motorcycle for 2 nights. Our aim was to spend a whole day exploring Annecy and the lake, which we did by using public transport (be advised, Annecy is a super-busy place to drive in and find parking). This is a totally self-catering accommodation service, but there's a Lidl and boulangerie within 10-15 minute walk (through a beautiful and peaceful residential estate). Annecy lake is a 1-minute walk from the accommodation, and the views are nothing short of spectacular. The nearest bus stop is a 10-minute walk (near Lidl), ask the driver to take you to Annecy Gare. Annecy itself is a truly amazing medieval town, plus there's the modern part of the town too - if you like your shopping. Otherwise stay in the old part of the town, but make sure you walk down to the lake to appreciate just how beautiful this part of France is... wow!

Location was lovely and tranquil. Bear to bus routes, cycle track and shops but still totally peaceful. Good communication and very helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable beds.

Think the apartment needed a sofa or easy chair. A bit austere and not a single photo or painting to give a hint of character. Otherwise great. We didn't have a view from our apartment. Maybe visitors should check this if it's important to them.

Position was perfect, close to the lake and a good position to explore the area. Host was very friendly and always available to ask any questions. We loved it so much we stayed another night. A walk up to the main road to get a bus into the main town. We found parking at the property was ok.

We found that the local bicycle hire docking station didn't have bikes all the time but there was plenty in town. I would take my own bicycle next time.

Perfect location on the lake away from the hustle and bustle of Annecy town itself. We loved being able to walk our dog from the property and found it an ideal base for a 2 night stay. Chalet itself had everything we needed and was very clean. Very close to supermarkets and local shops. Very quiet location but nice with the chalet style to be able to sit outside and chat to other guests.

Apartment is quite small (especially with a dog!) but if you're not spending much time inside then absolutely fine!

Very close to the lake and the owner was very friendly and welcoming! We borrowed a kayak and within a 2 minute walk we were already paddling it. Property was very clean

Would have been nice if the double bed was in the room and the single beds were in the passage and not the other way around :) Supermarkets and restaurants were a short drive away (probably walkable if you’re not traveling with small kids as we were)

Seemed like a brand new house for us, had everything needed. 4,5 bathrooms is more than needed but always welcomed. All clean and a good location.

The air conditioning was a challenge to configure. It seemed like not working (quiet) but actually it did, so all good. One of the beds was a sofa. I also don't understand why the other beds are 140cm/160cm wide when there is enough space for full sized double beds.

Brilliant Self Contained apartments only a 2 minute walk from the lake. Rooms were clean with all the amenities we needed, Located in a very quiet lakeside area, but close enough to the local supermarket and boulangerie to walk to get supplies. Great comms from the hosts up to and on our arrival. Thank you.

Excellent location, close to lake. Friendly, helpful host. Very clean, well equipped lovely lodge. Nice garden. Great to have kayak use. Easy to find. Ample parking.

We were fortunate to have very hot weather, but this meant the top floor bedroom was unbearably hot at night, very hard room to keep cooler. Couldn’t be helped due to weather but for others to be aware of as no AC & type of building means it gets v v hot.
