The arrangements made by the hotel, e.g. fantastic breakfast, free coffee/tea with sweets and shuttle bus services to the Festival place, are perfect for the visitors of the Bayreuth Festival. The location is also great, within 20 minutes of walking to the Festival place if one chooses to walk. One small and one large shopping malls, as well as a large bus terminal, with many busses in various directions, are also within walking distance. The room has sufficient storage.

The fitness facility was minimal, with just a few cardiovascular machines, with just one for each type. There is no restaurant that is open all the time and no room service. As I exercise daily using weights, I had to search for and go to local fitness stadios.

Lovely big rooms, spacious lobby, fridge in room (vital for a hot summer), friendly staff.

I really wish hotels would not instruct their staff to whip used breakfast dishes away from under the noses of guests. Can they not wait till we have finished our breakfast? There was no fresh milk. I have never experienced this in a large hotel, though one member of staff informed me that most German hotels only offer H Milch. I haven’t been in one that didn’t - not in 30 years…

Superb breakfast kindly extended to brunch as well as snacks before the concert. very generous with some palatable wine thrown in. Also provided ability to order a dinner after the Opera. Great bus service to the Bayreuth Festspielhaus. Superb airconditioning in the room.

Room a bit basic. Two single beds. Very few toileteries and basic two in one bathgel and shampoo soap.

Great location (5min walking to the city centre) - clean and spacious room - comfortable beds - openable window - drink voucher if waiving the room cleaning (just hand the tag out of the door if you don’t need the cleaning service on that day and you’ll get a free drink at the hotel’s bar , cool idea!) - sauna available from late afternoon and gym - small but well supplied bar (and very friendly bar tender)

I have one suggestion, and my friends all agree, and it is, that the restaurant should serve dinner on a day when there is no opera. For us it was a day of rest, a day when we did not want to out to dinner but were forced to do so because the restaurant was closed for dinner.

Very convenient to stay here for the Bayreuth Festival. Generous breakfast and brunch buffet, great bus shuttle to and from the opera (may have to stand if it’s crowded) and a spacious gym with sauna and steam room. Rooms are somewhat basic but the windows open and there’s a/c.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, the room was average sized, and it's always nice to have a mini refrigerator and tub. A convenient walking trail along the Red Main River leads to the city center (1 km away) in one direction and the Maisel Brauerie in another.

Due to Covid, many of the amenities (e.g., fitness center) were not available. Obviously this is not the hotel's fault, but it is hard to evaluate it as a 4-star hotel. There is a fair amount of free parking on the premises and nearby, which is not clear on the hotel's "facilities" listing. which implies a cost of €8 per day.

This was our twelfth year at the Arvena Kongress. We like the quiet location, within easy walking distance of the railway station, the Festspielhügel and the town centre. The rooms are relatively large, cheerful and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is exceptional and doubles as a brunch-buffet. The hotel has made enormous efforts to provide a COVID-safe environment. We asked for a kettle for our room and were generously provided with a selection of tea and instant coffee sachets.

Not a big problem, but there don’t appear to be any double beds, only twins.

Very friendly atmosphere by the very professional personal (most of it quite young), big space at breakfast room and at the entrance, excellent food, frequent shuttle service to the Festspielhaus, big parking.

Hotel a bit older (but still very clean), but just not very fancy. Bed too soft for me. Curtain lets sun directly into room. No long sleep possible. Bathtub instead of walk-in shower.
