Clean and quiet accommodation, cheapest in the town. It is a small "no staff" hotel, you meet staff only when checking in. Next to a beautiful lake and animal park.

No refrigerator for guests in the property. No table or desk in the room.

my room was spacious and bright. the furniture provided was fitting and comfortable.

the internet connectivity was very poor and hardly any internet in the dining hall.

Breakfast was good.The beer garden was good.

I arrived pretty late, around 10:30 as my train journey was disrupted by the large number of people using the €9 ticket. A big problem all over Germany. Checking was supposed to be by 20:00. Nobody at the hotel. I called the contact number and they were very reluctant to come and let me in even although I had emailed them telling them I would late. Eventually, will reluctance they can sand let me in. Not very professional. As for the hotel. It’s more like a beer garden with an attached hotel and it does not seem well run. There was no Wi-Fi information, the light in the toilet was out, a generally run down and poorly finished quality throughout.

A friendly family run place well away from the town centre, opposite the delightful Rohrensee on a busy road. I stayed for four nights and was never once disturbed; I guess if you want towels, soap or a change of sheets or your bed being made up this place is not for you.

It was pretty quite.

Thanks to the lucky coincidence, I managed to check in. The staff is never at the hotel, and it's impossible to reach them by phone or email. There is no internet connection in the room at all. They could have brought some shampoo and toilet paper to my room without a thousand requests.

Bed was good it was a proper double [i.e. 1 bed for two people] unlike most German Hotels. The shower was good but the nozzles needed cleaning to get the jets right.

It was built into the eves. The wooden floor had not been moped so it made my bare feet dirty. It was expensive but that was probably due to the Mozart Festival being on at that time.

Nobody was there for check in. Had to wait outside for over 2 hours until somebody opened the premises.

The lady who worked there on Saturday evening. I asked her for a mug of hot water. She was so kind as to also take the mug up to my room. She is perhaps the only normal parson I met at that hotel.

I was led to believe that the hotel had a parking. It turned out not to be in line with reality. Not only there was no hotel parking but there was no public parking in the area. So, I had to leave my car in the street. It's quiet far from the center, at about 45 minutes walk. The staff, with the exception of the aforesaid lady, are rather unkind and even strange. They hardly ever smile, and the owners' relatives and friends usually amble and turn around inside the hotel in silence and deadly serious. Anything they are asked for means a great effort to them. Miraculously enough, the lady who "welcomed" me took my big suitcase up to my room floor. It ought to be pointed out that there is no lift. It was very cold in my room since on those days the weather was awful. I complained about that, and that lady told me to turn on the radiators to 5. I did so but they remained as cold as before. That makes me think that the central heating was off and that I was pulled my leg. In any case, I was not provided with an electric fire, and I was cold during the whole of my stay there. On the morning after the day of my arrival, I had breakfast at the hotel. I asked for some orange juice. The lady who had prepared the breakfast answered in the sense that the orange juice wasn't brought until midday. Most of the breakfast consisted of great amounts of bread and cheese. Of course it was the only time I had breakfast at that place.
