The tallest building in Chemnitz and dating from when the city was still Karl-Marx-Stadt. I had a great view of the much larger than life size head of Marx from my 14th floor window. Decent sized room with comfy bed, sofa, desk TV. Good to have an openable window too. Decent bathroom with good shower. Although the hotel has been refurbished it still has a pleasantly DDR feel to it. The restaurant on the top floor has an incredible view to accompany your breakfast and the buffet has a good selection including plenty of vegan options.

I couldn't get the Wifi to work anywhere except the lobby on one of my devices which was a problem no one could resolve. My tablet worked fine. Don't normally have any issues. There is no in room drink making facility which is a normal German hotel shortcoming. There are some sort of complementary drinks available in the lobby.

My third stay at the Kongress in 2023. Always love coming here. The "old" single rooms with the sofa are my preferred choice of room. I hope they will be kept for quite some time, because it's a rarity to have a sofa in a single room. But having this sofa means not having to sit on the bed when watching TV or reading or something.

Nothing to dislike, just some suggestions to make it even more perfect. A second pillow should be available in the wardrobe, preferrably a memory foam one. And a fridge should be available in the "old" rooms too since there is no restaurant in the hotel, and it would be nice to be able to store some food.

The staff at the Congress hotel was helpful and friendly, my room was very clean with a comfortable bed and a window that could be opened with a view a the Karl-Marx Statue in Chemnitz. Actually the room was fairly simple, but what really blew my mind was the wonderful sight and decoration on the breakfast room on the 26th. floor. That together with a very good breakfast gave this hotel an upper hand compared to other hotels on the area.

The rooms could have a nicer decoration and outside at the parking lot it took us a few minutes to recognize where the hotel entrance was. (There was no sign indicating in which direction the hotel entrance was located)

Perfectly central position, nice view from the room and from the restaurant on top, where they serve breakfast. Super breakfast! Polite staff, lightning-fast checking and checkout. Parking right ahead of the entrance. Average single room, with good comfort and mattress. Nice GDR architecture, totally refurbished inside. Would stay again.

No air conditioning in room. The window could be opened, but the air was still and somewhat warm in the summer. Private parking under the trees: birds may strongly affect the appearance of you car… The price for the parking is somewhat high, despite the central position.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. The location is very convenient to the Christmas Market in December (very walkable)! The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is very substantial and comes with an outstanding view from the top floor of this high rise hotel.

The restaurant staff appeared to be "bothered" by the guests. This was the first time I've experienced this level of service at this hotel. Also, a bit disappointing that hotel guests have to pay extra for parking.

Nice DDR style brutalist hotel, not far away from the old town. We got a room on the 17. floor, with a beautiful view of the town. Breakfast was so good, and the staff was nice.

Next to the hotel (in the "Stadhalle" building) is a bistro with full of muslim migrants, who are shouting and partying very loudly all night long, and everything can be heard clearly up to the 17th floor, even with the windows closed. In the evening not the safest walking around the hotel, because lots of freaky muslims, etc. You can see the results of the german "Willkommenskultur".

We appreciated the location, which offered good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the reception desk remained open until late hours. Additionally, we received a cool bag filled with dog treats. The fee for our dog was 15EUR, which is the standard rate.

There is no water in the room. Its possible to buy 0,75l for 5EUR in the reception. Carpets were a little bit stinky.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, I had a positive experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, and it had all the amenities I needed. The location was also convenient, as it was close to many popular attractions and restaurants. While breakfast was not included in the price, there were plenty of nearby options for me to choose from.

While the room was comfortable and the location was good, I had a negative experience with the staff during my stay. They seemed uninterested in engaging with guests, and their communication was limited to short, curt responses. This made it difficult to get the information I needed about the hotel and the and the surrounding area, and it left me feeling unwelcome. While the room itself was nice, the poor service from the staff was a major drawback, and it would make me hesitant to stay here again or recommend it to others. Negative was also Public parking is available on site (reservation is not possible) and costs € 15 per day. It means, they had 10 site free, and they charged me € 15 thi was limited to short, curt responses from staff.

Hotel is located in the center of Chemnitz, very easily accessible by car, with the parking place just downstairs. We have chosen it when travelling through East Germany to Bavaria. Room has just spacious enough (we slept in the suite), beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet gave proper variety - within the standard though. Stuff was friendly and interested in the guests - which I find as a big plus. The next day, You can keep the car by 15.00 and travel through the city - seeing monuments, green areas and town hall just minutes away from the facility. Additional advantage is that the hotel is the highest building in Chemnitz - just little below 100m - and is build in typical Communism area style. We slept on the 22nd - with good views on the area.

You may see the "teeth of time" biting the facility - for us it did not really mattered too much though.

Cozy and very clean room and bathroom, nice view, 2 pillow options.. very friendly staff, check-in and check-out was very easy and fast.. great location of the hotel right in the center and close to restaurants, cafes and supermarket.. good wifi connection.. possibility to open the window completely even on higher floors... I didn't have breakfast so I don't rate.. overall I was very satisfied and would stay here again

on the photos of the room there was a kettle, but in reality it was missing.. there was no socket next to the bed for charging the phone, which was quite impractical.. the mattress in the bed was soft enough for me, however this is quite individual.. there are restaurants down below the hotel and I just had the bad luck of a late live production (night from Saturday to Sunday), which was disturbing while falling asleep..
