A well-appointed comfortable hotel only 5 minutes walk from the railway station, and adjacent to the opera house. Hotel restaurant recommended for a relaxing evening dinner with excellent food and local wines, some from the hotel's own vineyard. Free travel on local transport is included in the room rate. Excellent buffet breakfast where the cook comes out from the kitchen occasionally and wishes guests "Guten appetit". A very nice gesture.

The hotel's wi-fi seemed to be prone to outages. I would have preferred the lighting in my room to be brighter. The room card contains the notice that a charge of €15 may be applied if the plastic room card is not returned at the end of the guest's stage - I have never seen this stated by a hotel before and it seems to be excessive and at variance with image of a quality establishment which the hotel like to portray. These niggles are minor, however, and I would not hesitate to stay at the Chemnitzer Hof again.

Check-in was friendly and very helpful, including being provided with a pass for the local public transport. The breakfast was extensive and varied. The Hotel is located very close to the tram stop and an easy walk from the main train station. The on site restaurant was reasonably priced, provided very good service and delicious food.

The bed was made up in the usual German style i.e. a very soft and unsupportive pillow and thick dooners. Housekeeping was very accommodating with our request to change this. However, the Hotel could not provide better pillows or blankets.

Clean, nice area, very friendly and professional staff! Favorite hotel in Chemnitz atm.

Unfortunately there was no shampoo bottle in the room, the hair dryer didn’t work. But it’s okay

Everything is perfect! The coffee machine in the room was very pleasant. The windows overlook the park.

One drawback is the disco until three in the morning. The vibration of the music makes the bed shake. We thought we were going crazy. The receptionist refused to move us to another room, although the rooms were clearly there (on bookings). Unfortunately with the window open the whole room quickly smelled of smoke, because there was smokers under the window.

Great location and very comfortable bed.

Arrived Sunday 6pm and there was no bar open. Everything was closed..but I could get a bottle of water from reception.

food was top and Staff were attentive , friendly and well trained - the hotel is in the centre of the city though Chemnitz is not a very scenic place

more english tv stations please somewhat dated in its decor

Wellness is a perfect, nice and clean rooms, great buffet breakfast.

Maybe it will be good to have a kettle in room.

The room was very small so when you book ask for a bigger room - they have them.

We were upgraded to a very large roomthat included ann entire living room set. The location of the hotel is close to the historical town center. Breakfast was very good. We had nice view from the room.Checck in and out was very quick.
