Location right next to the railway station! Nice bar and common area. Comfort in dorms, all good. The redlightdistrict thing - maybe more of a plus, where else have you seen this kind of lifestyle? They mind their own business and are totally harmless
Do you really want to collect all this cash - 2 eur for city tax, 3 for bed linens, 2 for key deposit…

I'm not a typical backpacker. I'm retired and now doing the travel/'gap year' type stuff I wanted to do at 18 - but didn't ! Good hostel. Excellent 'happy hour' deals at the bar. Comfy, friendly good value. Free coffee - but, even at breakfast it was seldom much above lukewarm. If they sort that, there'd be little to complain about. Immediate neighbourhood is ,edgy/dodgy and the centre of the red light district. It is though only a five minute at most walk from the main railway station. Would happily revisit/recommend.
Cool/cold coffee. Ist floor gents toilet was blocked and overflowing for a good few hours - but these things happen and it did get sorted.

Common areas are great. Things were cleaned regularly, room was quite alright for the price (basic twin room). Free coffee and tea in lobby, nice prices in bar with 2x1 happy hour, nice activities to meet fellow travellers and nice team and staff. Location si very close to hauptbahnhof, many people gets scared because there's illicit activities in the streets and prostitution, but in several day I didn't see anybody being bothered by people in the street. They seem to mostly mind their business.
Of course the neighborhood gives a bad vibe. Other than that is quite pleasant to stay there.

The bed and bed set was pretty good. And the curtains were amazing! The shower area looked pretty clean and a lot of space to shower, much better than most hostels. The check out at 12h is the best part, I could really sleep and rest well, please keep it like that. The common area is amazing and I could leave my backpack there until 20h before getting my train - unexpected for such a nice price. Best cost benefit I have ever been.
There was no easy place to put my bag, or at least I could not find. If I had to stay for longer would be hard to organize my clothes inside my own bag. There was a locker but I was not able to open it.

Athmosphere is the only reason I liked this place. It's very social.
Staff. Some British guy with glasses at the reception seemes really upset all the time. People at the reception seemed like they hate their lives all the time in general. Other staff was really friendly though. Location. The street is full of drug addicts being agressive all the time. They kept asking me for money constantly. I met 2 guys (one staying at the hostel, and one staying across the road) whose rooms got robbed there. Heat. Rooms do not have any cooling. While I was staying there it was so hot that most of my roomates couldn't sleep properly either.

It is BARELY in a red light District so still quite safe to reach even during the night. (I’ve done it , it’s really not that bad when you hurry up and be nice to the people outside). It’s a clean Hostel and the location is just perfect because it’s a jump away from the main station (if you stand outside go straight , cross the 3-4 lights by the tram station turn left , walk a bit , cross the street and then turn right (first right you can take) and then walk to the next intersection and ahead of you to the left is the building) you have a kitchen free to use and laundry + dryer for a charge. Breakfast is available too.
Staff seemed annoyed occasionally or overwhelmeked and one time they talked about someone else who worked there and I think you shouldn’t do that in eye sight and ear sight of guests. They are unfortunately also not interacting w you. Breakfast is nice but just little options.

The staff was nice and kind, speak english very well. They answersed fast to all my questions adressed on booking messages. They gave me good directions to the places I had to go. They have a nice reception where you can stay and make new friends. The room was cleaned daily. The toilets were clean. Inside is a safe place in an unsafe area, if you feel unsafe on the street they are there to help. They have free tea and coffee full time, not only at breakfast. The breakfast was good, diverse and tasty.
The hostel is located in red light district which can be unsafe if you travel alone, but from my experience (travelled alone) the biggest problem is your misunderstanding about what red light district means. It is more in your had than on the street, the Police is there all day. A big visible lighted loggo on the building would be great. I arrived there by night and I barely found the place, and I felt uncomfortable due to the area. On the door would be great if you have a message with "Ring ->"

Probably the most organized hostel I've stayed in. Couple of common areas and water/coffee/tea available all day. Happy Hour each evening with 2 for 1 drinks which is the best deal in the area. Rooms were spacious and huge storage boxes that fit both my suitcase and backpack in. Yes, the hostel is in the red light district but I always felt safe in the area and they have 24/7 security and front desk. It's also an easy 20 minute walk to the water area where there's boat cruises and tons of restaurants and bars. The central station is about 6 minutes walk so also very accessible to and from the airport and other areas.
The room was unbearably hot and the fan didn't help at all. Also since it is in the red light district there is a lot of noise at night.

I stayed in the 3 bed dorm room with a private bathroom and toilet including breakfast. 3 mins walk from the Frankfurt central station. The place was clean, rooms were easy access by an elevator and a nice outside seating space too. The breakfast spread was really good unlike hostels providing basic things like bread and eggs, they had a lot of nice options. Also have a pool table in the basement. The staff was helpful and they have boards with local recommendations for food, music, dancing etc.
Unrelated to the hostel itself, I didn't like the location/area. Lots of homeless people, lots of noise, you might be followed as well, it's the red light district. But, bonus points for the hostel because they sent me a message informing me about the area not being good and that they can't really help it and allowed me to cancel for free if I changed my mind based on that input.
