The room was spacious, comfortable, warm and welcoming. Even though we were in the heart of the city, the hotel is calm and quiet. This was during the Christmas Market!! We were in walking distance of the market which was one of the reasons we booked the hotel, the other was because they took dogs and we had ours with us. So, a perfect location. Breakfast was a feast!! Every dish you could think of was provided and topped up regularly. The staff, from the friendly receptionists, the bar staff to the breakfast room staff were all super friendly and helpful. A great stay.

We would have appreciated a restaurant within the hotel after days walking through the market! No other fault could be found by us.

The food was excellent - both at breakfast and in the restaurant. The staff were always helpful and friendly. We loved the location - easy to find and ideal for getting to the stadtpark and old town

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived to check-in - it was still being cleaned. And it seemed a bit rushed and not thoroughly cleaned. There were old tissues under the bed and the spare blanket had been used by previous guests as a picnic blanket - it still had grass on it.

Air conditioned room is worth the extra when it's hot. Breakfast is good with a small hot buffet slection. Freiburg is not a big city and this hotel is only 5 minutes walk from one end of the main shopping street. We can recommend a guided city walk to orientate oneself- available from the main tourist office.

Our room was bigger than expected. The staff is really helpful. Location is just outside the city center, so perfect if you are arriving by car as we did, and main attractions are less than 3 to 5 min. on foot. They have private parking too.

We did not know that housekeeping was done every 3 days (it was written on the door, but who reads the door warnings these days...). We did not mind, but it would have been better to be told upon checkin verbally, so we would have not expected the room to be done when we arrived later in the evening. We got a room that seem to be be fitted for people in wheel chairs: the nice part of that is that it was really big, with a big bathroom, but the WC was high and shower had a seat that made it a bit mode awkward to shower. The hotel also seems to have many buildings, we stayed at the main building (where breakfast and parking was located), but we saw some people crossing the street, so if that is an issue for you take that into consideration.

The location of the hotel was perfect in what felt like a safe neighbourhood - just off the main centre but everything was in easy walking distance. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

I missed having coffee and tea making facilities in my room. We were told that rooms are cleaned every 3 days or on request if a guest asked (we did not ask) However, our rooms were not cleaned during the 4 nights that we stayed.

A personal was very pleasant and kind. A location is convenient and not far from the centre and at the same time it is in the quite place. A hill with the funicular railway 🚃 is close. A combination of price and quality is good 👍😊 A breakfast 🥞 was very delicious 😋 and a restaurant is very comfortable.

A soundproofing wasn't good. There weren't balconies.

Breakfast excellent and location was very good - a 10 minute walk from the centre. Staff very helpful and obliging. I found the bed comfortable but my wife did not. The bed in the Superior room on the top floor was much better -this toom was also air-conditioned. Would stay here again.

Great hotel in a brilliant location just 10 minutes walk from the centre and attractions and 20 minutes walk from railway station. Good size rooms with cosy decor, great shower and comfy beds.

The room could have been a bit cleaner. There was noticeable dust around the skirting boards.

Excellent location, only five minutes walking to the centre. There are ground and underground parking. I would especially like to note the staff at the reception and restaurant - very polite and responsive. The rooms are very clean.Amazing atmosphere filling in this hotel.

Room was small but comfortable and bathroom, also small was modern and clean. Breakfast was good and location was close to old Town and restaurants. We were there during a heat wave and appreciated tha the room had a fan.

Parking was full at hotel so we went to recommend public parking a block away. The cost was exorbitant, €27 for arriving at 4 pm and leaving next morning at 10.
