I book double bed room and it was so, but that were 2 single bad which were put together and the floor was quite slippery, so during night that beds could distance from each other and that was very annoying. I wish, when book room with big bed... to have big bed, not combo of 2 single beds.

Decent hotel with large clean rooms, all amenities you would need were in the room.

At Brasserie Flum, we had served by a waitress who spoke no English, the desserts and coffees from the next table has charged to our bill. We have ordered breakfast to our room, what was mentioned on menu has not served to us, we had to call the room service couple of times to demand the missings. The interesting part was the explanation; what was mentioned on menu such as cerials was not served because we didn’t choose to order. If this is correct please clarify on the menu as who reads breakfast menu would think the same as us

The Elysee is a wonderful hotel. Management thought of absolutely everything one could wish. From the size of the corridors to the comfort of the room. Every thing is super clean, generous and quiet. On rainy days the red awning on the windows make the room glow rather than looking gloomy. All 3 restaurants have perfect staff and wonderful food. The bar and cafe area near reception is wonderful as well.

I have a bit of trouble with the bird cage. The birds are virtually invisible because outside their home is all the greenery they probably would love to sit in instead of the bare cage the live in. Not fair and an outdated idea.

I liked the classical hotel environment and the ambience of being a top hotel. their staff training is second to none and of all 5 hotels I stayed in while in Hamburg the only one with a structured apprentice ship system. Their classical ranking system among staff members as well was great to see.(eg Chef de Rang) Staff dress code as well was a beautiful part of the overall experience of a classical 5-star hotel

No coffee and tea in the room. after asking housekeeping brought up a Nespresso machine but no tea. Aircon didn't work due to the contact been broken on the window. (if you open the window the aircon stops but didn't engage once the window was closed)

A hotel which lives up to highest expectations - classy, but not over the top I have felt utmost excellently treated, especially as a queer person Concierge was very helpful and staff is highly trained and qualified - they take hospitality seriously and it shows! The attention to detail and the little treats have not gone unnoticed and have made my stay even more enjoyable

The whole experience is of high quality delivered by courteous and helpful staff. The selection of restaurants is superb. Our favorite was Theo's. Live music in the bar in the evenings was very relaxing—piano mostly—a jazz group on Saturday evening. Also, it's not so far from the central station by Taxi or just a 5 5-minute walk from the local station. There is even an Avis car rental office in the hotel.

Loved all the details around breakfast with regional details around Krabbensalat, Fleischsalat and Zwiebelmett. Amazing choice of all sorts of breads and sweets. Room was big and comfortable, housekeeping aranged time for cleaning when we were still in the room, e-bikes available at decent charge and fantastic location. Three different restaurants and rooftop bar. Tried everything and loved. Really felt welcome and at home. Everything was super easy.

Only had some issues with wifi for one of us.

Breakfast 30€ p.P., parking fee 26€ p.day, rooms are clean, have safe, slippers, wardrobe, double bed convertible to twin beds possible, bathroom clean, but no lock on the door, 1 bottle of complimentary water, two apples. Overall interior is a bit old-style, but it has its old charm, highlight is the spa area with a swimming pool, sauna, solarium, bar&service, etc., and restricted access for kids below 16 years. Good bikes are available for free, they were our main transportation vehicle in HH. The staff is nice and professional. If you like Spa & cycling, the price of the room is alright, if not there might be a better solution.

The location was the main attraction as well as the rating of the hotel and if you expect a five star hotel then you shouldnt be dissapointed.

The prices although somewhat expected from such a higher rated "fancy" hotel, are a bit unnatural where a 750mL bottle of water costs approx 9.50 euro

We love this hotel, second time there. Nice location in a quiet but central area. Beautiful hotel with a nice relaxing atmosphere. Nice spa with fair prices. Restaurant Theo next door is highly recommended. Nice king-size bed.

Would prefer complete kids free spa, but at least their time is limited. Not a big fan of the nudity in the saunas, but that's how it is in Germany. We were woken up by a mistaken call on the room phone, that's pretty annoying when we where there to get at good long night sleep.
