I book double bed room and it was so, but that were 2 single bad which were put together and the floor was quite slippery, so during night that beds could distance from each other and that was very annoying. I wish, when book room with big bed... to have big bed, not combo of 2 single beds.

I liked the classical hotel environment and the ambience of being a top hotel. their staff training is second to none and of all 5 hotels I stayed in while in Hamburg the only one with a structured apprentice ship system. Their classical ranking system among staff members as well was great to see.(eg Chef de Rang) Staff dress code as well was a beautiful part of the overall experience of a classical 5-star hotel

No coffee and tea in the room. after asking housekeeping brought up a Nespresso machine but no tea. Aircon didn't work due to the contact been broken on the window. (if you open the window the aircon stops but didn't engage once the window was closed)

Breakfast 30€ p.P., parking fee 26€ p.day, rooms are clean, have safe, slippers, wardrobe, double bed convertible to twin beds possible, bathroom clean, but no lock on the door, 1 bottle of complimentary water, two apples. Overall interior is a bit old-style, but it has its old charm, highlight is the spa area with a swimming pool, sauna, solarium, bar&service, etc., and restricted access for kids below 16 years. Good bikes are available for free, they were our main transportation vehicle in HH. The staff is nice and professional. If you like Spa & cycling, the price of the room is alright, if not there might be a better solution.

Loved all the details around breakfast with regional details around Krabbensalat, Fleischsalat and Zwiebelmett. Amazing choice of all sorts of breads and sweets. Room was big and comfortable, housekeeping aranged time for cleaning when we were still in the room, e-bikes available at decent charge and fantastic location. Three different restaurants and rooftop bar. Tried everything and loved. Really felt welcome and at home. Everything was super easy.

Only had some issues with wifi for one of us.

We love this hotel, second time there. Nice location in a quiet but central area. Beautiful hotel with a nice relaxing atmosphere. Nice spa with fair prices. Restaurant Theo next door is highly recommended. Nice king-size bed.

Would prefer complete kids free spa, but at least their time is limited. Not a big fan of the nudity in the saunas, but that's how it is in Germany. We were woken up by a mistaken call on the room phone, that's pretty annoying when we where there to get at good long night sleep.

The hotel location looks good. I didnt search honestly around the hotel but it was very near to the nice river area. Rooms were big enough and comfortable. Bathroom amenities are very high qualified. Rooms are equipped with everything that you may need. So you dont need to ask reception or somewhere else for an item. My view was looking inside of the hotel hole however it was still good. When I open my window I could have the fresh air and with a very good view. I didnt get chance to try but I saw many different restaurants also were giving service inside of the hotel which is good. Brekfast was very nice, not too many chocies but fresh, qualified and delicious.

I experienced 2 different reception staff, whether it was a luck of mine or not, they were both apprentice and very lack capability of asissting. For check in waited around 20 minutes and check out around 15 minutes. Double size beds or king beds need to have double blanket. For tall people it is quite strange to fit in a single blanket in a king size bed!

Room temperatur could not be adjusted. Had to sleep with an open window which is always a downer in the middle of a city. I had to go through four car chargers to get to one that was working Breakfast was a chaos with way to many people. Prepare to line up for most.

The Penthouse Suite was very comfortable and spacious. Access to the balcony was particularly appreciated. The gym was well designed and well equipped. House keeping was reliable and of a very high standard. Check in and Check out were smooth. We are looking forward to staying here again when we are next in Hamburg.

Elysee is our favorite hotel in Hamburg, and we have tried others, too -- including the more expensive ones. We prefer a park view room, which is large and comfy, We like the room's colors: it is exquisite. The bathroom (shower) is large and comfy. The hotel has fine artwork practically everywhere—many first-class restaurants and a bar, etc. The reception staff is always perfect.

No tea and coffee maker in the room.

Price-performance ratio in this hotel category was again outstanding. Staff from cleaning service to front desk was immaculate. Spa area is second to none.

It would be more sustainable to replace the small plastic shower gel and shampoo bottles in the bath room with reusable dispensers.
