The whole experience of staying at Hood House was great. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The coffee shop in the entrance too made great coffee and tasty cakes. It was in a quiet and safe area too with a shop within a 1 minute walking distance. As well as a few parks close by which were handy to run around. It was handy having a microwave and utensils in the room as well if we needed to cook but we didn’t end up using them as we ate out.

Didn’t really have anything to complain about. Only small thing was the light in the lift didn’t work properly so couldn’t see the buttons easily to choose our floor.

The location was not in the city center, but the bus station was very near and it was possible to reach the center in 20 min. The rooms are fresh renovated, there was kettle and tea provided as well as small capsule coffee machine. The bed was very comfortable. Cool sound from loud-speakers which was possible to connect with a phone via Bluetooth, we could enjoy our own music.

The bed could be a bit bigger, I think it was only 160 cm wide. We tried the breakfast in the café which located on the 1st floor of the building for 20 euro pro person. It was bad experience, because first we need to wait for a long time, them my husband was forced to bring everything from the bar counter on his own, the omelette was awful, they forgot to give us granola, which we have seen on google photos. At the end we did a whole self-service and needed to remain them all the time about drinks or granola, etc. However, cafe doesn't belong to Hood house, this is independent chain of the cafes, but I won't t recommend them.

The staff was very nice. The matress was very comfortable, and the pillows as well (way more comfortable that other german hotels that I've been). The bathroom was very comfortable. The wardrobe had plenty of space. The kitchen appliances and utensils were clean. The location is great. Just 20-25 min by bus from the central station. Very well comunicated by public transport.

I thought the appartment was bigger, but that might be my problem of not checking the squared meters in advance. The first day was a bit cold, but I think it was because it was not heated for a period of time. After the first day, the room was warm again and I didn't feel cold any longer.

This was my second time staying at Hood House. I got the Cozy+ room this time and it was perfect for a week-long stay on my own as I mostly dined out or ordered in and didn't require a full kitchenette. My room faced the main road but I wasn't disturbed by the noise as the windows are soundproof. I slept well most nights (which is saying a lot as I normally don't when I'm on the road) and I loved that each room had built-in bluetooth speakers! All-in-all it was an easy and comfortable stay - the hotel had all the essentials for a long stay and a friendly and helpful team to match. Plus Winterhude is a great neighbourhood to walk in with plenty of cafe, restaurant, and shop options at every corner.

The kitchen wall shelf extends out to where the desk is and is at my eye level (I'm 5'4") so aside from banging my head on the edge once I also worried about hurting my eye by accident. They definitely should add a shelf corner guard on that.

Great location, close to public transport. Calm and friendly neighbourhood to escape the busy city. Room was cosy and not as sterile as other hotel rooms. Staff is very inviting and friendly, haven't eaten in the restaurant but looked great. I loved that they are sustainable; water flow limiters, energy-saving electrical appliances and environmentally friendly care and cleaning products. They also try to minimize water usage and cleaning products by offering optional room cleaning and towels aren't changed every day.

Rooms facing the street are a bit noisy when you want to sleep with the window open.

Breakfast was excellent if a little large. However I was able to make a sandwich and take it with me for lunch. I liked that it was smart yet casual and as a single woman traveller who has never travelled alone before and felt very nervous, I felt very safe. The location, a bus ride out of the city was good in that it was quiet but navigating the buses turned out to be fine.

My room overlooked a restaurant below and bottle deliveries in the middle of the night woke me up. Also I was slightly disappointed that there wasn't a bath but that's just personal preference.

Very comfortable place located in a nice neighbourhood of Hamburg (about 15 minute metro to most central places). Room was very clean and modern and the bed was super comfy. The cafe downstairs was great and super convenient for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. Nice free mineral water and nespresso too in the room too.

The facilities are quite bare bones, even for a serviced apartment. All the bed linen felt quite cheap and designed for mass use, which would be fine if the price per night was a bit lower. More than 4 coffee pods might also have also been nice to show a little more generosity. These are little things but stand out when it costs a little more than a standard hotel.

The style of the hotel, location close to S-Bahn, comfort of the rooms with the kitchenette. Also, there is a coffeeshop within the hotel, very convenient, and good restaurants nearby. The 1st time I stayed at the hotel, I tried to use the microwave in the room and I melted the dish cover but my meal stayed cold :/ The 2nd time, they added a QR code on the microwave - or was it there the first time and I didn't notice? - and I could read the clear use instructions of the microwave :))

I have stayed at least 3 times at Hood House now and the price keeps increasing.

New Contemporary style room, very comfortable, spotless clean. Nice reception area with Cafe. Winterhude lovely and plentiful shops nearby.

No, enjoyed my stay. Couldn't fault the place. As light sensitive sleeper would recommend for other light sensitive sleepers to maybe bring eye mask as gaps in blinds allow morning light in but that is a very minor thing. Otherwise faultless stay at Hood House..

Location -in a cute neighbourhood close to the Stadtpark. Rooms were big and had great amenities. Very easy check-in process as everything can be done self-service on your phone.

Since there was no fan or air conditioning, the room gets quite hot. unfortunately the room we got was facing the street so it was a bit noisy when leaving the windows open to let some breeze in. it's not terrible but if you are a light sleeper like me it might be annoying
