I'd give location a 10. It's very convenient. The guy at reception was very friendly and helpful. He was able to arrange a packed breakfast as I was leaving early.

The rooms are old and can use an upgrade.

The staff was wonderful. Warm friendly at all times. Helpful. Cheerful. Seems to be a family run business. The room is small by USA standards, but clean and plenty big enough for the time I spent in the room. Breakfast is simple, but a bargain. Everything was fresh. Dining area formal. Always someone there to add food or assist. Great location for shopping and touring all over Cologne. Very convenient to the train station. I definitely recommend this hotel.

location is everything when you are visiting a new place. The hotel was very close to the train station and several of the Christmas Markets, which made walking everywhere easy. The staff was very friendly and always had a smile.

I hate to say this, but it was loud. maybe ask for a room that isn’t facing the main street. The street it is on is connected to a massive shopping area with lots to do. However it wasn’t like it was loud all night. it usually quieted down around 23:00. and since nothing opens early you can sleep in.

+ Great location close to the main train station, cathedral, shopping area, public transportation. + All hotel staff very friendly, hospitable + They even found a small shower chair for us and set it up in the shower. Typical German breakfast. We thought it was good, no complaints.

It was a little difficult to find the address because the numbers were not in order; but there was a large sign on the side of the building "Hotel Calles". Being in the pedestrian area could be noisy for some, but it did not bother us.

Probably the best location in the city,all the staff were incredible friendly and helpful,good sized rooms,good breakfast, we will be back and would highly recommend to anyone.also great value,if this was the X factor I would be giving them the gold buzzar

Reception staff were awesome!! I arrived a bit early and they worked to get me checked in to a room. Very friendly and helpful also. Great location and easy walk to and from the Hauptbahnhof. Close to all the Kristkindlmarkts and restaurants. Only a 2 minute walk to the Brauhaus FRÜH am Dom.

Very good location right next to the cathedral. Staff was very nice and helpful. Wifi was excellent. Rooms comfortable and also very good air conditioning which is not easy to come across. Also breakfast was included and was very good and complete

It was right near the Dom and shopping area. Everything was within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well prepared. The rooms were clean and the curtains made the rooms dark. Has an elevator.

The room was small and the bed was too soft for my taste, but no real complaints.

Five minute walk from Central train station and Koln Dom. Helpful staff storing luggage for later departure. Great location for walking around area.

AC was not working, but with lower temps it didn't greatly affect stay.

Just a block from the cathedral, comfortable beds, very quiet rooms, even those facing onto street, helpful staff, good if simple breakfast

Bathroom a bit cramped and needed better ventilation
