The hotel is beautifully unique in design. While it has a old architecture on the outside, inside the style is modern but warm. The lobby was decorated lovely for Christmas. The rooms are unique with high ceilings and a large armoire with plenty of room to hang clothes and drawers. The bathroom has a separate toilet with a door, the shower has an adjustable shower head. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast has a large variety of meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, and hot eggs and bacon. The location is very conventionality located a short walk to the main train station and cathedral.

The layout was a bit confusing… up and down stairs to get to different parts of building and we got lost nearly everyone trying to get out! Staff were friendly but not that knowledgeable… man at concierge totally underestimated the cost of taxi to the airport! It was 3 times more expensive… would have got up earlier and taken train had I known actual price!! Oh and if you are not a very ‘close’ group.. check the bathroom facilities. Our shower was in the middle of the room with only a clear glass door!!!

The hotel feels luxurious, lovely extras like towel robes and slippers were a lovely touch. Very, very comfortable bed which was needed after a long day adventuring around Cologne. Staff were really kind, they helped us with a charger that we had forgotten, they assisted with giving us extra bedding as we had got drowned in the rain and were a bit chilly, they printed our boarding passes. The location is excellent, less than a 10 minute walk to the Dom and the main station. It’s not busy, there is a lovely street outside with a church.

The rooms are beautiful and everything was very clean. Super friendly staff! The location is also nice as you are close to the center. A parking spot was available in the parking garage and we got even upgraded with one of our rooms without additional cost! Wow!

The only minor thing that came to my mind that I didn't like was the light switch next to the bed that was constantly lit. So when you want to sleep, it's not entirely dark. A pillow against those light switches solved that little issue. It's just confusing to me why it has to be lit constantly and there was no way to turn it off or I couldn't figure out how.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Without a doubt, we slept in one of the most comfortable beds ever. The young lady at the reception desk who checked us in and out was incredibly helpful and had excellent spoken English. The location was fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from the Central Station. I was so impressed that the hotel uses Rituals cosmetics for their toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, the only note would be that the juice was too sweet- it was not natural.

Everything was just great

Hotel is a short walk from the train station and located close to shops and attractions. The room is clean and has everything needed. There are no tea and coffee making facilities however we asked about an electric jug and they were able to provide this for us which was most appreciated. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning and staff were professional and pleasant.

Tea and coffee making facilities in rooms would be a good idea. People smoking at the entrance to the hotel is unpleasant but we noticed in Cologne it seems to be the norm to smoke outside doorways.

Super friendly staff. I felt like they actually liked their jobs and dealing with tourist. The room was lovely with great windows and a pleasant view of the church. Quiet street and not too far a walk to get to shops, train station, cathedral, etc.

Wifi wasn't great. The clear glass shower door caused a lacked of privacy with others in the room. (They could easily solve with a curtain to pull across the sink alcove). Kind of a quirky path to get to the room. You get used to it but does take 2 elevator rides. No coffee in the room and not a shop nearby.

Great hotel, in a walking distance from the cathedral and the central train station (10m walk). It was clean, with decent breakfast and the rooms were totally renovated. Hot water all day long as far as heat temperature stable on 23 degrees within the room. Great value for money hotel even on period with an ongoing trade exhibition. Much respect for that!

Customer care and hospitality are 2 meanings far far away from German culture in general! 😄😄

Location close to the train station was very good. The staff at the front desk were much better than expected in view of the criticisms of other customers about this. Same for the staff at breakfast.

Location is good but let’s just say that the neighborhood and its appearance didn’t give us all the security. Breakfast choice should be better for this price : eggs (omelette) much overcooked and dry (2 days), no pastries (croissants ..etc.) and basic charcuterie.

Its a very nice looking hotel, good location, about 5 to 10 mins walk from the cathedral. The breakfast is good. Clean hotel. Overall pleased with it

The parking at this hotel, I mean ok it has parking so I guess that is something, but it is verging on being criminally expensive. I do not know how they can justify the charge, 2 euro every half hour and 28 euro for the 24 hour period. It is considerable more than all the city parking around the place
