A nice representative of the Mercure group. The hotel is located in a nice green area near the Lindentaler Park with a lot of services nearby: a few grocery stores, artisanal ice cream shop, big toy store for kids, restaurants and fastfoods at the walking distance. ~25 mins to the airport with a cab, ~25-30 mins to the city center and main sightseeings by #7 tram. Overall it was a pleasant stay, the room was spacious and clean, equipped with a kettle, fridge and safe locker. Me and my family enjoyed the bathtube which is always better comparing to a basic shower. The selection of TV channels was surprizingly good. Didn't have a chance to use the swimming pool but I think it's good, I've seen a lot of happy faces coming from there :) Breakfast was decent and fair - great pancakes, nice selection of vegetables and fruits, omelette and eggs with some bakon and sausages available. The restaurant also has a kids menu, a nice selection of meat dishes, some traditional desserts and ice cream. Nice and steady renovated bar downstairs and a terrace outside - great place when the weather is good. GREAT RESTAURANT STAFF (greetings from Diana, guys).

Floors are quite cold in the room and some air drafts due to air conditioner location. Soundprofing is quite poor for a 4-stars hotel - you can hear the doors shutting and foot steps all the time - not a catastrophy, but a thing to improve.

Nice cozy hotel for a good price. Parking on site for 11 euros. There is a sauna and a small swimming pool, it is really hot in the sauna, there were almost no people in the evening and we had a good rest. There is a tram stop nearby which can take you to the center in 25-30 minutes. There are supermarkets across the road. In general, we were satisfied with everything and will stay there in the future.

We didn't go to breakfast, it was for a fee and we just had breakfast at the supermarket opposite. We didn't use Wi-Fi either. There is a TV in the room with German channels, I didn’t find out if there was YouTube there, but it looks like there isn’t, and there is also no way to connect a phone, but in general these are minor things. In general, for it's price there is nothing to say here.

The hotel was really good. Really nice rooms and beds. The breakfast was superb, plenty of choices and they never run out of anything. The staff was always courteous and really helpful, they make you feel that you are in a high standard hotel. I used the swimming pool and sauna and they are really well maintained and clean and a joy to use. They are not massive but it is perfect for recreational use.

Nothing to do with the hotel but at the moment we were there, the tram line 7 that is the main and useful connection to the city center was with repairs. That made our commuting to the center of Cologne a bit less comfortable and we ended up using a lot freenow and taxis (including an unpleasant experience with a local taxi driver that wanted to scam the tourist...). So, few advice for fellow travelers: - Don't be discouraged for the distance from the hotel to the city center, with the tram you are in no time and comfortable in the city center (the stop is just 5 mins walk from the hotel). - Always check the transport pages to be up to date with works, etcetera... - Don't trust local taxi drivers. Always use an app with a closed prices for your trip. Really disappointed with that.

In general, it is a good hotel.

Unfortunately, we had a specific very bad situation there. I had booked a table for 2 in the dinner of the evening 24th December at 20:00. I was very explicit in confirming if they would be open this time (Christmas evening). They confirmed the booking, but when we arrived there, they said that they booked for mistake and the kitchen was already closed. We needed to have McDonalds for our Christmas supper, which made the experience in the hotel very frustrating.

We stayed in the hotel for the Carnival period, it was a great stay, especially for kids having a swimming pool. The hotel is very nice and comfortable. It has plenty of grocery and other shops around. The only issue it takes you 20-30 minutes to reach the center via a straight train. the train station is located 50 meters from the Hotel. The sauna and swimming pool area are clean and comfortable.

They asked for 10 euros per day to park a car in their private parking.

Very nice place to stay. We were traveling as family of 4 + dog. Room was very clean and beds comfortable. My daughter left her plush toy in the room when we were leaving and Hotel Staff was holding it for us almost two weeks before we collected the toy on our way back from Holidays. Staff speaks English and is very helpful. Very good value for money. I highly recommend to everyone.

Everything was great.

Good breakfast selection on offer to cater for all tastes and demands. The room was a good size with reasonable facilities and good toiletries. Definitely good staff and the hotel was kept very well.

Location is out of sorts. It is a good bit from the centre of Cologne however it's easily accessible by tram and there are convenience stores close by but not much else in the area - you need to go into the centre of the city for more.

Pretty nice room and facilities and friendly staff

Excellent location if the German transport system works normally. Unfortunately the day we checked out, a Sunday, the only tram going into the city was cancelled and the next tram came one and half hours later. Halfway we to the city everyone was dropped off due to technical issues and we had to find another train station and took another regional train to the city.

The room

1. At check-in, we were told that our stay included breakfast by the receptionist. The next morning when we went to breakfast, we were told it didn't. 2. Parking spaces are too small. The access to the exit gate is difficult to make without maneuvering the car correctly

The room is great, spacious enough for a family, well-equipped, with a private bathroom. The air conditioning works very well, and the pool was nice and not crowded. The small gym is adequate for daily workouts, and there’s also a sauna.

The only downside is the location, quite far from the city center.
