This wonderful place felt like a home away from home. It is setup to give guests freedom to come and go and the staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. The location is situated with phenomenal views of the surrounding landscape, while only being a few minutes walk into town. So much to do in the area accessible by walk, car, bike, and public transportation. We ended up staying two extra nights! We can’t say enough about Mammhofer Suite & Breakfast and look forward to returning sometime in the future.

Lovely small hotel in Oberammergau with a parking lot for about 6-7 cars behind the building down a tiny side street. Check in was fast, friendly & easy. Room was spacious with minibar & wardrobe in-room. Mountain view. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Very quiet town at night, peaceful. Perfect location in central area within easy walking distance of the entire town. Hot water in the shower. Clean room. Excellent breakfast. The König Pass for the area's attractions/ discounts was provided free of charge with the stay.

We are very happy that we have chosen this hotel, we spent there two weeks. The weather was very changeable, so it was always nice to get back to that cozy hotel. The hotel’s rooms are designed keeping in mind both, holidaymakers and those who are working. There is a place to relax and work. I want to pay attention to the bed and the bedding. Great mattress and pillows, bedding. There was not a single bad night. The hotel is very friendly to the animals, our dog was very happy to have breakfast with us. Special thanks to the hotel manager who greeted us every morning with a warm smile. The hotel has car parking. We are looking forward to visiting it again.

We stayed in the family suite. It was 2 bedrooms separated by a sliding door both with King beds and 1 bathroom. It was plenty of room for our family so that everyone had their own space. It also had a balcony that looked out at the mountains. Breakfast was included in the stay and had a good variety to choose from as well as eggs made to order. The outside of the inn was a typical German building but inside it was updated and very modern. It was within walking distance to the restaurants and shops in the town. It was rainy everyday we were there and they had umbrellas that guests could use for the day. That was a nice thoughtful touch. It was perfect for what we needed and would stay there again for sure.

I'm not sure there was anything that we didn't like....maybe some things to note....there were only a few parking spots. We never had a problem with parking but if there were a lot of guest is may be an issue. Also we missed it the first time we drove by it with the use of google maps so maybe just pay attention as you are getting closer to the destination. There is no elevator...we had no problem with this but some people might want to know this information.

The location was perfect and close to downtown. The room was large with a balcony and a great view. The management and staff were amazing and helpful. I lost my cap on the side of the mountain from Alpine Coaster, Stefani made a call, and I got my cap back. Ina kept the room spotless, and a wonderful Bavarian breakfast is included . It rained a couple of days, and there were umbrellas at the front door to use at no charge. I will always stay here on my trips to Oberammergau.

Absolutely loved this place. The room was at the top of the building was very spacious with a beautiful view of the Alps. The breakfast was excellent every morning, the staff were all nice and helpful. The ambience of the property is calm and quiet as is the town around it. The price was also very reasonable.

The room did not have AC but it's not needed in my opinion. We left the windows open in October and they provided a cooler fan unit that worked fine.

Our host, Josef, was very friendly welcoming and accommodating. The room was a suite with ample size for us to spread out. The beds were extremely comfortable and the radiator-type heat system worked well and was easy to control. The bathroom was well appointed and the shower was strong and as hot as you wanted. The breakfast was excellent with cooked-to-order eggs and a great selection of meats, cheeses and fruits to start our day. The hotel was located in a quiet part of town but just a short walk to the center of town with its restaurants and shops. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.

What can I say. Best place we stayed on our 22-day holiday through 4 countries in Europe. I was fortunate to check back with booking.com as we originally had a place for 2 nights a train ride away in Saulgrub. Being in town, especially for the Passion Play allowed us to come back a few times during the day while exploring. Breakfast buffet was great. Josef offered to make us egg dishes each day. We didn’t leave enough time for too leisurely a breakfast, otherwise we would have taken him up on it. We had a 2 bedroom suite on the second floor. With only two of us the second bedroom went unused, but it would be a great place for a family or even two couples (you would need to share a bathroom). At the edge of town, so very quiet. Loved the large balcony as well.

The only thing I could say is that if you are on the 2nd floor you will have to carry your luggage up. Also farther away from the train station than other places in town, but still only a 20 minute walk.

Everything went well, except that the description of the room says second floor, but actually its the third level like an attic area. They should be specific, because most of the guests are unfamiliar to the set up like this.

Just to let the management know that the GPS anywhere in the world is not a perfect science. It makes or breaks the trip. Adding insult to injury is the fact that we cannot confirm the location because the Hotel name is not visible or not well-lighted, especially in the evening or bad weather. We are completely strangers and eager to settle down after a challenging day. That should be the first concern of the hotel owners.

We loved absolutely everything about this place! It's perfect. The host Mr Josef Zwink is a kind and a very professional gentleman, extremely helpful and efficient! He replied to all our questions in a timely manner, communication was first class. The location of Mammhofer Suite is great - 10 minutes walk to the Passion Play Theatre. Also Mammhofer Suite and Breakfast is part of a scheme of KönigsCard which is a great resource for tourists as you can get entries to lots and lots of sightseeing places for free (incluing museums, local cable cars, some bus journeys)! Breakfast was amazing, lots and lots of choice. Everything was perfect! We stayed there for 7 nights, the room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. We loved the balcony! We would definitely return!
