Old, well maintained and characterful hotel situated in the heart of the old city. Car parking taken care of by the staff after they've helped you unload and taken your bags to the room. Had the junior suite which is on two levels. Extremely comfortable and if it wasn't for the pull of the magnificent old city outside, we could have easily spent the entire day in chilled relaxation here. Breakfast is varied, expertly cooked and very well presented, either in the dining room or in the garden. Shower is powerful and part of a spacious bathroom. The hotel is a welcoming part of a magnificent city. You won't be disappointed.

The staff were so friendly and always attentive every time we walked through the door. They were flexible with keeping our bags while we explored the city after check out, and had a cab waiting for us when we were ready to leave. We felt very welcome! Our room was well kept and had a beautiful scenic view. We were in room 8 and it was fantastic, even with the three story climb of stairs each time. The hotel is toward the back of RodT but close to the best views, gardens, and historical sites, while still being super close to the main square and other attractions.

We are used to a headboard to rest against in bed, which the ceiling in the room prevents, but not a huge deal. Our door handle and lock on the door was also a bit loose, but we still felt quite safe.

Great hotel with helpful and friendly staff. We had a very warm welcome by the staff. Hotel’s location is spectacular, right at the heart of Rothenburg. Breakfast was different (a la Carte) but very good. It is very well decorated and there are great amenities in the room. We really enjoyed our time there, it feels like traveling back to the medieval times but with the comfort of today.

The place is very old (like everything in the city), so you’ll hear noises when you walk around your room. They only provide a several-course dinner which is very expensive, but that’s okay given that there are some good restaurants nearby. Finally, the Wi-Fi was very unstable and slow, so often times I switched to use my mobile data package.

Lareissa and Michael welcomed us and provided exceptional service and attention to our needs. Such thoughtful kindness included making sure we had ice packs nightly for sore knees and accommodations for meals due to my immune compromised health. Location was ideal within two minutes walking to central square . Breakfast was a sumptuous feast ! Also we tried the fixed price dinner one night by Sascha and Filipe, excellent courses including waygu beef tartare, roasted pigeon flown in from Paris, sea bass and scallops. We highly recommend this hotel as an fairytale dream stay.

This hotel is truly charming nestled in the Rothenburg city wall where the rooms are carved out among the contours of the building. It has a really historic vibe to it. There is some really cool tables made out of Deer Antlers. We were welcomed warmly by Jenkous where we were provided Tea, coke and a beer while he checked us in. As part of the full service the hotel provides, our car was parked for us and our bags carried up to our rooms. Since there is no elevator given the unique aspects of the building, it was nice to not have to carry our bags to our room. This hotel is in the heart old city of Rothenburg od Der Tauber and therefore is quite unique in its experience. The room was big clean and very comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. The breakfast was made to order fresh and delicious. This hotel was worth a multi-day stay as we did. We really loved our stay.

We loved the old world accents like the rustic exposed wood beams and stone walls, but also with the modern conveniences of updated bathrooms. The location is perfect for those wanting to be right in the middle of the historic town center. The staff offered us “welcome” drinks when we arrived early and had our room ready hours before the designated check in time. We ate dinner at the hotel, which was an gourmet and delicious 5-course meal. The a-la-cart breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

Great place to stay and we loved the room. Breakfast was one of the best we had during our 3 weeks traveling in Europe. Location is in the central of the city and the availability of a safe parking place was a great thing. Definitely recommend this place to other people..Furthermore the staff is very good both on the night and morning shift....

Can't say much negative of this place except there is no lift in case you stay on the top floor. But the staff is very helpful in carrying the luggage

Everything about Hotel Herrnschloesschen is first-class. We were received by the very friendly staff, the room was well appointed, with a view out front. The alacart breakfast menu had everything you'd need, and all prepared to order.

It can be a bit daunting getting inside the walled village, very narrow streets and a lot of turns. But, the reward for getting there is worth it.

Excellent location within the old town. Staff were very friendly and helpful with everything. We didn't have dinner in the hotel but the breakfasts were excellent - great choices.

The bathroom felt a little claustrophobic with the bathtub layout, but not something that impacted our overall love of the hotel.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Although we were staying only one night they made a big effort helping us making dinner reservations and suggesting activities. The friendliness there is something I seldom found in other places. Fantastic!

A very minor thing: The hotel is situated in an ancient building so I could hear other guests upstairs walking at night. So if you’re a light sleeper like me simply bring some earplugs.
