A very clean hotel, well located, good customer service. Comfortable beds. Good choice of food for breakfast - buffet, self service. Highly recommended.

Only one thing - I messaged the hotel about my gluten free diet, as i have Celiac, to ask if it's possible to get a GF bread for breakfast. The answer was positive. But there was no GF bread for me when the time came. Fortunately I had my own bread in the car, so I brought it for breakfast.

Location good and easy to find in Straelen. Check-in and out was quick and easy with no surprises. The Hotel has plenty of parking space. Room was clean and comfortable and had a useful mini bar/fridge. The toilet was in a separate room to the bathroom. Bath robes were also available in the room which we thought was a nice touch. The food and drink in the restaurant was very good, and so was the service. Breakfast was superb with an amazing choice of hot and cold buffet food

The restaurant has delicious buttery asparagus on the menu, sourced from farms in the area. The restaurant seemed popular with locals as well. The hotel looks quite picturesque. The room was very clean and the staff friendly. It's an exceptionally dog friendly place as well.

The town itself was rather industrial. Fortunately the hotel itself is next to a lovely park.

I really liked how spacious my room was, and the fact that there are wellness facilities (sauna, Jacuzzi) that guests can use free of charge. The restaurant downstairs has great options a la carte. Breakfast was ok

We stayed at the Straelener Hof because of its location just over the border into Germany from the Netherlands, and, under UK Covid restrictions, it was the first, and last, place we could stay without having to quarantine. Hence, we stayed there on both the first and last night of our German holiday. The reception process was very quick and easy, and the young lady there spoke very good English, which was helpful given my relative lack of German. There was a lift which took us to right outside our second floor room. The room itself was actually a junior suite, the only thing available when we booked. This was on two floors, with a sitting area containing a desk and mini-bar downstairs and a large bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and so was the service. My rump steak was particularly delicious and beautifully cooked to my requirements. The breakfast in the morning was also very good.

We would have preferred a more normal room, as we did not use or need the sitting area for a one-night stop but, as stated above, this was all we could obtain when we booked. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

The hotel was in an ideal location for our holiday, in that it was just over the border into Germany, and we were not allowed, under Covid restrictions, to stop in France, Belgium or Netherlands. However, it was much better than just a convenient stopping place, having a very pleasant restaurant with excellent food and an extremely comfortable bed. As a consequence, we decided to confirm our provisional booking for the last day of our holiday, before returning home. The town of Straelen was also extremely pleasant, and we had an interesting stroll around the centre before we departed.

We arrived very much later than intended, due to traffic problems, and the staff were already heavily involved with serving dinner - as a result, we had rather a long wait to check in.

The breakfast was nothing special, but lunch and dinner were very good. Nice out-door serving

We have habit to stop in this hotel when we have to cross Germany we recommand this place quiet beautiful garden and outside terrasse when the weather is nice the restaurant propose different dishes all delicious the personnel is very nice

We like to stop in this hotel in nice and quiet area people are always helping and welcome the restaurant provide in cosy room a very good and varied menu with view in amasing garden

Very clean room, small park around the hotel, great dinner option, very friendly staff

Breakfast could have more variety food.
