Extra comfy beds and lots of very hot water in a very clean, modern room and bath. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty with a super attentive breakfast lady ready to refill your cup and leaving things in place even after the 1000 a.m. deadline. Great parking just behind the hotel, which was so easy to find -- a straight shot from the autobahn. Bus stops to both downtown Basel and to the Beyerle Foundation in Riehen within two minutes walk of the hotel, plus lots of restaurant choices and a grocery store.

Room was very cold the first night, though both room and bath heaters were going on high. Was disappointed that the restaurant was closed while we were there. Staffing was scarce and had no one really to ask questions of regarding the local transportation means. Turned out to be very simple thankfully.

The breakfast was continental with a large variety of breads, spreads, meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs and dry cereals. Fresh fruit and juice, coffee and tea were also available. Very well organized, displayed delicious.

More nights added to our stay would have been great . The restaurant was high end and everything was homemade and delicious. The hosts, Sarah and Chris , along with their staff, were the best hosts and made us feel like family.

The property was excellent. It was very clean and tidy. Sarah and the staff were outstanding. The restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent. We were the only Americans so you know it was quality and authentic.

I knew this when we booked but they do not have an elevator and our room was on the 3rd floor. Don’t let this scare you off just be aware it is probably not going to be your hotel of choice for anyone with mobility issues.

Great hotel in a nice location to access restaurants (sadly the hotel restaurant was closed the night we were there) and very convenient for catching a morning flight from the Basel airport. Happily, the church bells change from ringing the quarter hour to only ring the hour after 10pm.

We went to bed a bit early due to an early departure and the traffic noise from the main street was a bit loud. This dropped right off later and we slept well.

The hotel was a very pleasant surprise after a long day of traveling. The restaurant was wonderful, food fabulous and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The owners are true hospitality people. Will use again.

There was a problem with the WiFi when we arrived and unfortunately it remained very poor in our room. With the windows open because it was hot in the room, there was a lot of noise during the night from the road and church. From the Booking.com facilities discription it was not clear that not all rooms have airco, even a fan would have been nice.

Hotel Adler gives an ambiance of authenticity that adds to its charm. The breakfast provided was a delightful experience, offering a wide array of delicious options. I was supposed to get an upgrade but didn't get it upon arrival. After explaining the situation, I got it. Suspension in the bathroom and tea/coffee machine would be a plus ! 🙂

Clean and modern rooms. Easy to reach with nice parking lot. Service for breakfast was good

Reception closed early (we were informed but still inconvenient). Breakfast had a limited assortment.

Very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very kind and helpful.

The bathroom and shower area were very cramped making it difficult to get to the toilet, shut the door etc. The shower flooded after a short shower.

Excellent breakfast, very spacious, clean nice room, very friendly staff, location close to restaurants (their own sounds great, too, we didn’t try it though).

Everything about the hotel was perfect. If one wanted to mention something it would be the church bells next door that ring through the night.
