We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived. There was someone at the desk 24 hours a day to let us into the hotel. Our room was very spacious, it had a table and desk in the main part; the cupboard divided the room and provided the back for the luxurious and comfortable bed; there was additional shelving and seating on the wall behind the wardrobe, which we used to store our empty suitcase as there was ample room to unpack both suitcases. There was a safe in the room. Breakfast was on the rooftop looking up at the Acropolis and Parthenon. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We spent a night here before travelling to Greek Islands for 2 weeks. We were able to leave two suitcases safely locked away until our return visit of four nights. The location was fantastic. We were right at the entrance to the Acropolis Metro Station, 5 minutes from the Acropolis, a couple of minutes from the Acropolis Museum (a must see for every visitor to Athens), 5 minutes to the shopping strip and Plaka etc. The location couldn't have been better. Despite being a block behind the restaurants and shops there was absolutely no noise in our room. The windows were double glazed and any time we spent in our room was restful and undisturbed. As our plane wasn't leaving until 11pm, we requested a late checkout and we were told we could stay as late as we like. When I asked how much it was, the lovely owner's response was nothing. As the room hadn't been booked for the following day, she was happy for us to stay. Given the weather was in the high 30s it was great to have a refuge from the heat and to be able to shower before we left for the airport at 7pm. I would highly recommend AD Athens Luxury Rooms & Suites. The personal approach made us feel like welcome guests, the location was fantastic, the hotel was spotlessly clean and exceptional value for money.
We loved everything, the exceptionally friendly owner, her well trained and accommodating staff, the spacious, quiet and clean rooms, pleasant lounge downstairs, healthy and hearty breakfasts and the unbeatable breakfast views of the Acropolis and Parthenon

The location is excellent - less than 1 minute from the Akropoli metro but still in a quiet road and easy walking distance of Plaka and many good restaurants. The Parthenon view from the breakfast terrace was lovely every morning, and the continental breakfast itself was tasty. The staff were very friendly & helpful and spoke English. The double bed was large and comfy and the room was very clean and modern.
We were in the Acropolis view room. Our 9yr old son slept on an Ikea sofa bed / futon which was very uncomfortable. The top 1/3rd, nearest the head of the futon was hard and the bottom 2/3rds were soft. It really needs an extra matress put on top of the base so it is the same firmness throughout. Luckily he was small enough to sleep at an angle curled up on the bottom 2/3 of the bed, but anyone taller would really struggle to get a good night's sleep on it. There were no lights on the landing, and the door to our room was tucked around the corner, so it wasn't easy to see where the door keyhole was when returning to our room at night.

The location is fantastic. Contrary to some reviews, there was no late night noise we noticed. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. The breakfast was very well done each morning with an amazing variety of options. At itâs price point, the value is superb.
The rooftop bar was not open after breakfast, so no amazing night views.

the location is PERFECT for seeing many of the main sights, and right across the street from the wonderful Parthenon Museum. right around the corner are many restaurants to choose from, and just down the block is a nice grocery store. the staff were all extremely accommodating and courteous. the breakfast was on the roof with a beautiful view of the acropolis and an excellent cold buffet.
while the hotel's name includes the word "luxury", I think a better description is an extremely pleasant and comfortable place to stay.

All the great reviews of this hotel are spot on. The owners and staff are so gracious and helpful. Super clean! The bed was comfy. Try to book a room with a balcony and view of the Acropolis. I really felt like I was staying with some long lost Greek relatives instead of a hotel. The area is safe with everything you can imagine right out the door including the train. Many great restaurants within minutes. If you are a wine drinker, you have to try the beautiful wine bar across the street from the hotel. Beautifully decorated with a precious family that owns it. All Greek wines and they help you find one you will enjoy. Next door is a cute little cafe with coffee drinks and food. They also have a traditional breakfast on the menu if the hotel breakfast is not your thing. You will not be disappointed!
This is more of a suggestion because I thought AD hotel was fabulous. I would suggest getting a rack on the wall in the bathroom for towels. We often forgot to bring our towels into the shower. I also think it would be nice to add some shelves or baskets below the sink to place your things.

We were so impressed with this lovely boutique hotel in a perfect location. right outside the Plaka and very close to the Acropolis Museum. It seemed a great value for such a premium location. There are plenty of very highly rated restaurants right around the corner and lots of shopping, including a grocery nearby. Convenient for using the Hoho bus to get around as well. Rooms were very comfortable, AC was outstanding, and the lovely owner could not have been more gracious. There was always someone at the front desk to open the door or help with questions, 24/7. The rooftop deck was a huge bonus, both for breakfast or to have an evening cocktail (byob), with the stunning Acropolis view to enjoy. The barrista at breakfast was so kind and made the best coffees, whatever you wanted!
The breakfast was continental and very Greek in terms of the pastry offerings. We enjoyed it, but I would have preferred more fresh fruit.

Incredible location, just a few steps from Acropoli metro and with lots af shops and restaurants around. Staff were very friendly and professional and room was spotlessly clean. Reception always had someone on duty so felt very safe. Morning coffee on the rooftop bar, overlooking the Acropolis was wonderful.
There was a faint drain smell but that is common with older buildings in Greece and I would just like to have been able to open the window occasionally but it wasnât a big deal.

The breakfast was really outstanding. Lots of greek delicacies (dolmades, baklava, etc.) made by local suppliers, superb coffee, as well as the usual suspects. Enjoying it on a rooftop terrace with a clear view of the Parthenon didn't hurt, either. A great location at the south end of Plaka, close to the Akropolis Museum, the Akropolis itself, Metro station, and lots of restaurants.
The safe was too small to accommodate even my small 12" laptop; it would barely take a tablet. The "boutique" lighting is rather form over function, as switches are everywhere, but not consistent. The lighting at the bathroom mirror is an extreme top/back light, totally useless for shaving or putting on makeup.

Superb location with a great view of the Acropolis. Very good taverns/restaurants near the location (including a 24h/7 McDonalds). Very good access to Athens city center.
The breakfast could be better. Having the room at 5th flood (below the breakfast area) there was a lot of noise in the morning starting with 6AM. There is a strange habit of keeping the main access door locked from inside, but there is always someone present at the reception (theoretically).

The location was outstanding - walking distance to everything. Literally across the street from the Acropolis museum! And, if you don't want to walk, the metro station is 50 feet away. Lots of shops and restaurants everywhere nearby. The breakfast was terrific - lots of choices, both greek and other. Plenty to fill up on and all delicious. Plus, they make any kind of coffee to order for you. The staff at the breakfast could not be more helpful - very eager to please. And, the view of the Acropolis is amazing - what a way to eat breakfast!! The staff at the front desk were also very nice - they arranged a taxi back to the airport and packed us breakfast boxes since we had an early flight.
The hotel isn't luxurious and doesn't have an impressive lobby or anything like that. But, the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. My only suggestion is to have a mirror outside of the bathroom; it makes it harder to get ready when sharing a room with someone.
