My wife and I stayed at this hotel for five days to explore Athens. The hotel is perfectly located for visiting Athens’ most interesting landmarks and is right next to a metro station, which is convenient for getting around the city. Additionally, the hotel maintains the highest level of cleanliness compared to any other hotels we have stayed in. The staff is incredibly kind, always approachable, and ready to assist. The breakfast is standard, offering a choice of three different combinations.

You can't beat the location - 3 minutes walk to Monastiraki station which means you can take the metro to/from the airport but do check when trains start/stop running. Taxis are abundant in the city. Room was a good size and comfortable. Shower room was spacious. We had a coffee machine as well as a kettle in the room. As our room was on the first floor, it also leads onto a communal area, where you can sit for a snack or coffee/tea, so you will not be short of free beverages all day! Up on the 6th floor, there is a terrace with a seating area with a view of the acropolis and part of the city. As per previous comments, breakfast is served in the café, directly next to the hotel, which has the best freshly squeezed orange juice! You will need a voucher from reception for the café if you have breakfast included. If not, then stroll along to the left as you exit the hotel and you will find a number of bakeries and a supermarket across the road. Do let reception know if you are going to miss breakfast, whether you are going on an early tour or to the airport, they will prepare a roll, fruit and drink for you to take with you which you can pick up from reception the evening before.

As with previous comments, the traffic noise is the only real negative with the hotel. Most rooms are facing the street/road and it will be noisy, even late at night or early morning. Be prepared, esp. if you are a light sleeper, take some ear plugs with you! Also there was a sign to say that if you do not want your towels changed, just leave them in the shower but they changed the towels every day anyway - pointless if you wish to help the environment!

The staff (especially Georgia) were amazing and so friendly. They were quick to respond to messages, help with booking taxis and giving information on where to go and how to get to places. The hotel is in a great location being really close to restaurants, stores, and the city centre. There is also an incredible view of acropolis from the top floor balcony. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the restaurant downstairs has great food and was a super cute place. I feel like I've seen everything on my list in Athens but I would come back to Athens just because of how nice the staff were here.

Hotel Athens21 on Athinas Street near Monastiraki Square, off the lively Psirri, near Ermou Street, with views over the city, is a good choice for those who want to live in the center of Athens, a short distance from everything. Our room's balcony on the sixth floor had a view over Anafiotika and Monastiraki to the Acropolis. Our room was spacious, with adequate closet space. The bed was very good to sleep on. Small kitchen well equipped. The bathroom with shower spacious. There was even a small corner shelf for the toiletry bag, full points! The same goes for the long side table, on which it was easy to pack bags. The hotel reception is small, but the hotel staff is even friendlier. Helpful and cordial, easy to talk to. The breakfast in the cafe next door was good. We especially appreciated the good coffee and fresh orange juice. Our stomachs were full every morning, which was a loss to other nearby cafes and restaurants.

The hotel can't do anything for the sounds of the city, nor for the sounds of the house and of living in it. It's part of the charm of Athens. So if the sounds bother you, ask for a quiet room or earplugs.

We chose this accommodation because of the location and we were very satisfied. Everything is close. The lady at the reception was amazing and accommodated us even if we have arrived before noon, thank you very much again! At the first floor you have complimentary coffee, tea and water, as well you have them in your room. The rooms are big enough and have all the amenities you may need. We especially liked the roof terrace with the beautiful view at the Acropolis. You can have your private picknick or evening drink there, it was great and we used it more times. The hotel breakfast is served in the nearby caffeteria. You can choose from some options, all are big enough and the staff is friendly.

Nothing - I would return again to this hotel.

Real service from the bottom of the heart. If you are looking for a small, not massive, intimate hotel. which provides you exactly what you need and not beyond, in the center of Athens, this is your hotel. Beyond an affordable price, the hotel is clean, spacious rooms, fully equipped - hairdryer, safe, kitchen utensils, plates and glasses, stove for cooking, refrigerator, coffee machine and kettle... Great WiFi! daily cleaning. On the day of departure, we had to check out during the night and to our surprise they took care of food and drink for us, our children, including a celiac girl. Every request was always received pleasantly, kindly and with intentions to help and it made us feel good. How happy we are to have come to you. Special thanks to the lovely Georgia!!! who was always happy to help and assist us. We were very touched🫶🏻Thank you and we wish you all the best. We would highly recommend the hotel!

One thing we didn't tell the hotel staff so we can't judge it... there were some ants around the drains in the shower so you should spray the area. Other than that, everything was clean and tidy. There is no doubt that in relation to the value it is more than recommended...

The location of the hotel was great for our needs. The hotel staff was super friendly (we met 4). The rooftop was a nice place to hang out at the beginning or end of the evening to have a drink and relax. The room was larger than expected, and the bed was really comfortable. We appreciated having the breakfast right next door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Athens21. While it is not in a calm and cute neighbourhood, it is really well located with easy access to everything we wanted, whenever we wanted. Definitely contributed to enjoying our trip to Athens.

The location of Athens 21 was absolutely perfect! In the heart of everything Athens. The staff, Theodore and Spiros, were very welcoming and so helpful. The spacious room - the air conditioning worked perfectly - along with the nice sized bathroom. And the roof top! Oh, my goodness - my husband and I sat out there each night in the evening and enjoyed the view. We had it all to ourselves. The breakfast next door was included in the price, and my goodness - it was hearty! I can't rate this hotel highly enough for value and quality.

Great location, easily accessible from airport - metro entrance close to the hotel, walking distance to all historical places. There is a place to store the luggage. The room was spacious, very clean, including fridge and kettle for coffee or tea. Working A/C. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful view of the Acropolis from the terrace on the last floor. Grocery store on the opposite side of the street. Big breakfasts (3 options to choose from: continental, sweet and greek) in the caffe next door.

Better to reserve some time for a breakfast as in rush hours it might take longer to order and receive the food.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the main square where there are plenty of great shops and restaurants. You can walk to a lot of exciting things Plus the bus stop for the hop on hop off bus is just down the road to take you to all the other sights you need to see. Breakfast is downstairs at a small cafe attached to the hotel and it definitely has enough to satisfy the appetite. Georgia on the front desk is lovely and very helpful even organised a breakfast box when we had an early start on a tour. The rooftop has fantastic views of the acropolis for you to sit and have a drink and nibbles. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place in the heart of everything

It is in the centre of the city, we had a room that faced the road and it was extremely noisy at all hours
