We loved everything! The breakfast was the most wonderful breakfast I’ve ever had - period! The building and decor are beautiful, staff warm and very attentive. We’re glad we upgraded our room to a slightly bigger one for our last night in Athens for our honeymoon. We also had an incredible meal on the dreamy rooftop terrace overlooking the acropolis at night. Loved all the little items, art, tea, drinks. The in house cosmetics which smell incredible. I wished I had been able to purchase more from the shop! Everything has been consciously chosen and curated. We also love the area - lots of street art. Would definitely stay again!

The design of the hotel was very original and extremely beautiful. It has a modern vibe and has artistic items all over the hotel. It was right in the center and the rooms were very relaxing after the busy streets of Athens.....a calming relaxing room with your very own free standing bathtub......Breakfast was included and it was very good quality and felt like being served in someone's home as it's all cooked personally infront of you. I Loved my time at Mona and felt I found a unique Rare Gem in the middle of Athens.I would highly recommend this hotel and stay again

Mona is a very beautiful place to stay in Athens, in a great location and with great style.The details of the decoration are very well-thought, the atmosphere is unique, the vibe is very cool.The fact that they have tried to keep as many of the original details of the building as possible, really transfers you to another era. Bed and linens were very comfortable and luscious.

On the downside was the fact that we were not informed that our room doesn't have a proper toilet room, just curtains and the lighting was very low. The whole room is open space, bathtub and sink were nice to be in the room without a door, but the actual toilet was very strange and awkward when you stay with somebody else and not on your own.

The breakfast was excellent. The rooftop area was beautiful and the music playing on the rooftop was fantastic. The view of the Parthenon was fabulous. The bed and pillows comfortable. Staff, very good and attentive especially the female staff.

I wish I had gotten the code for the front door before I arrived at 9 pm. Emails from Booking.com regarding the hotel/ or from the hotel to me blanked out the links so it's possible the property sent me the code. Mona is a concept hotel, therefore, some may not like the concept. The glass steps in the lobby I found difficult to walk up. The room (2nd floor) I was in didn't have the bathing/toilet area inclosed with walls only panels of fabric. No shower in the room only a huge bathtub and it maybe difficult for some (like me an older person) to get in/out of the bath tub. The lighting in the room was very bright with no ability to dim. It was noisy even thought they supplied ear plugs. To get to the restaurant you have to go outside the hotel and enter through another set of doors.

Staying at Mona Athens Hotel was an unforgettable experience. Artworks are scattered throughout, creating an immersive gallery-like environment that adds to the hotel's charm. The rooms are a highlight. Each one is uniquely designed, offering both comfort and style. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and decorated with eclectic art pieces and custom-made furniture sourced from sustainable materials. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and having amenities like an iPad and a coffee machine added to the overall convenience. One of the standout features of Mona Athens is the rooftop terrace. With panoramic views of Athens and the Acropolis, it's the perfect spot to relax with a drink. The honor system bar is a charming touch, offering a selection of natural wines and cocktails. The rooftop also hosts various events, adding a social and cultural dimension to the stay. One evening, I enjoyed a private dining experience with a visiting chef, which was simply unforgettable. The service at Mona Athens is exceptional. The staff are friendly and always eager to help, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. They provided excellent recommendations for local dining and sightseeing, which enhanced my overall experience of Athens. What really sets Mona Athens apart is its ability to blend industrial heritage with modern artistry.

The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and available 24/7 to answer questions via messaging. They helped with local recommendations and reservations; it was exceptional. The room and communal areas were impeccable, both clean and beautifully decorated. Given it's an art gallery hotel, everything you see can be purchased, so everything looks perfect. There wasn't a speck of dust in the room; it was super clean. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I had ever had.

There was confusion with when and where to have my breakfast delivered through our texting communications.

Location was great, within walking distance (or a very short taxi!) of everywhere. Breakfast was delicious - we asked to have it on the rooftop which was very special. The rooftop is such a great feature, incredible views of the Acropolis! Each room has an iPad where you can communicate with the front desk which was very helpful.

There is only a sheer curtain separating the bathroom from the bedroom so there is no privacy at all. Our room (room 7) was very very noisy - you could hear cars and scooters, music from bars and people shouting on the street below until very very late.

Interiors are absolutely stunning. 1950s Athenian architecture with original features and an artistic aesthetic. Our room was clean and spacious with a free-standing bath tub and lots of natural light. Bed was big and comfortable, and there was a welcome bottle of natural wine on arrival. Rooftop is amazing with city views of the Acropolis. Perfect for golden hour drinks. Location is central with good coffee, bars and restaurants only a short walk away. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. It can be delivered to the rooftop or your room for breakfast in bed, and is served until early afternoon so it never feels repetitive or rushed. Service is laid-back yet thoughtful, and there’s an iPad in the room to contact staff if required. Our whole stay was faultless, and made us appreciate the city even more.

A little pricey compared to the rest of Athens, but definitely worth it.

Mona is in bustling location that gives you easy walking access to many of Athens popular destinations. The design is unparalleled with cozy linens, fluffy towels (a rarity in Greece), and amenities that will make you feel at ease. The complimentary breakfast is out of this world with plenty of choices from healthy to indulgent!

In the reception area there are glass stairs that, honestly, freaked me out! I wish they would cover part of it with a rug. This is the most minor thing possible and would not stop me from staying here again!

We absolutely loved the style of this hotel. ( A side note: if you don’t enjoy an artsy indie vibe this would definitely not be your ideal stay) Very chic and loved the art! The location is perfect to visit all main attractions in Athens. Definitely a hotel for couples! Using an ipad to communicate with the front desk is very useful. Breakfast is absolutely divine. Overall, staff are very polite and helpful!
