Rooftop swimming pool is really nice although there are not a lot of space. Rooms are really confortable and cosy. Hotel staff is really helpful and friendly except at the reception Good location, really nice local restaurant nearby

They charge you an additional 10 euro tax fee for being a 5 star hotel - it was not mentioned on booking. Reception staff quite dismissive and unfriendly

It's located in a very good location of the city. So close to the metro M3 station, the line you could have access to every sight seen places easily. The staff are super friendly. The bed is super comfortable even much better than in our house, which is also super king. However, this one was so comfy that I slept like a baby. The sauna and gym facilities are also so good. The swimming pool was also great. However, the bar at the top roof isn't used in this month-March-. The breakfast is super fabulous. High quality, super delicious, and has some different items every day. I highly recommend this superb hotel.

The staff were very welcoming and made my 10yr old son and I feel at home straight away. Lovely breakfast buffet with plenty of choice and space. The roof-top swimming pool was idyllic with direct views of the Parthenon on the Acropolis (we had fun when at the Parthenon trying to spot the hotel in the distance!). The views from the pool extend all the way out to Pireaus. Perfect for cooling off after sightseeing on a hot summer's day! The hotel is only a 10min easy and safe walk to Evangelismos Metro station from which you can directly reach the airport and Pireaus Port within about 30-40mins. Look out for the hundreds of green parrots in the little park on way to Evangelismos station! Proximity to the Metro means you really don't need to fork out on taxis or transfers if, like us, you are only visiting for a few days with light luggage and want to immerse yourself in the travel experience. The Acropolis, Syntagma square, Lycebetus Hill are all walkable within 30-45mins. Lovely little cafes and restaurants on a nice square directly adjacent to the hotel but sufficiently far off the main road. Small well stocked supermarket 5 min walk away towards metro. Divani Caravel was perfect for our little Athenian travel adventure. Really can't recommend it enough!

Fantastic location. Central and yet not overly crowded, next to a lovely Japanese garden and the spacious land of the National Gallery. Spacious hotel, especially in common areas. Very nice roof bar and pool, with superb views of the best parts of Athens Friendly staff. Good breakfast room staff, especially Stefanie, but everyone. And really good quality and variety in the buffet.

Long wait (always) at front desk. Each person in front of me seemed to take forever to get processed, whether checking in or otherwise. I am a highly experienced traveler, and this was rather unusual in the degree it occurred.

Nice luxury hotel. We booked it mainly to get a swimming pool during our visit in August where temperature was very high. It is very refreshing after a day of visit. We got two twin rooms as a family with 2 kids 10yo and the rooms were awesome. The staff is amicable and pro. Top floor restaurant is delicious.

This hotel is located 2 kilometers away from the main city attraction (Plaka district, Acropole...). The walk is ok because you got plenty to see in between (olympic stadium, war museum, botanic garden...) and you can take a taxi (5 to 20 euros depending on time of the day). This was not a problem for us but be aware of that.

It is an incredible place to stay close to a lot of things. It also has the most caring and accommodating staff I have come across. The managers went out of their way to upgrade me to a bigger room with a view that would make my long stay comfortable. They adapted my room to ensure my mobility gear had enough space to move around and reduce risk of falls and injury. They adapted the bathroom to my needs as well. They do have handicap rooms but they are darker with no views unfortunately. When I asked for a different room, they had the bellboy take me around floors to find one which I would like. It took a while but they were incredibly patient through the process. The breakfast staff was incredibly thoughtful, bringing me whatever I wanted for breakfast so that I could rest my leg comfortably. The bellhops were very attentive and prompt when I needed them. Room service was fast and housekeeping was faultless. If you have special needs, this place will surpass your expectations. Usually hotels in Athens place a surcharge on late check outs. I requested a late check out and received one at no extra cost. When I needed medicine, they went to the pharmacy to collect my meds and brought them to me as well, and they always asked how I was feeling and paid attention. They knew when I was not well, and would call to check up to see if I was fine because they knew I was alone. Highly recommend this place for its hospitality but it loses points on pricing.

Pricey. It's nice but prices could be a little more reasonable. 7 Euros for a bottle of water is usurious. 36 Euros for breakfast if not included is a balking pricetag as well. If they made their pricing more competitive I would give five stars for the place. I only stayed here because my foot was broken and I needed good service and a larger room. It was a necessity. If I was holidaying, I would think a little harder about the pricetag.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Divani purely based on a recommendation from my acquaintance, Liudmila Temciuc that works there. Previously, I had been staying at another establishment during my work trips to Athens, but Liudmila suggested I switch to this hotel for my work-related travels. For my initial stay, I booked three rooms and will be booking another three rooms next week, all for work purposes. I must say, the experience has been positive. The hotel staff is attentive and professional, making the check-in process smooth and efficient. Liudmila has been most outstanding. Thank you Liudmila. I will use Divani every time I need a stay in Athens because of you. The rooms are well-maintained and offer all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The Wi-Fi connection is strong and reliable, which is essential for my work. Additionally, the hotel's location is convenient, providing easy access to various parts of the city. While I was initially hesitant to change my usual accommodation, I am glad I took Liudmila's advice. The first room I’ve been given had strong drainage smell, but it has been changed immediately once I reported it.

The foyer looked beautiful with its art deco design. Our room was a very good size and very comfortable stay. Our dinner at the hotel Juju bar and restaurant was excellent and the staff there were very friendly. It was the view of the Acropolis from the roof terrace and pool bar/pool, which set this hotel apart the most.

Most of the staff were very friendly, but on our first day, when I asked the reception staff if they could call me when my room had become available (I had arrived early and I was allowed to store my luggage) they were unhelpful- I didn't understand why they couldn't just take my mobile number and give me a call (I decided to go out and explore the nearby neighbourhoods whilst awaiting the room to become available). I thought given the overall calibre of the hotel, the reception staff could have made a bit more effort.

Wonderful breakfast buffet. Staff friendly and helpful. Good size rooms with the and coffee making facilities. Bathroom provided shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Fantastic pool area with amazing views. We liked the bar and tables near the pool, so that we could eat and drink whilst keeping an eye on the children when they were in the pool.

We felt the rooms were a little dated, considering the 5 star rating, but they were clean and the AC worked well. The shower could have had stronger pressure, and there were a couple of stains on the floor of the shower cubicle.

Lovely hotel in great location with lots of good restaurants nearby and a Metro stop 5 mins walk. Easy access to the Acropolis, Syntagma, Plaka, etc. Good sized family rooms. The staff were first-rate, particularly duty manager Dimitri and bellboy Costas. They really helped smooth over our rocky start, as described below.

Last minute family getaway and we missed something in our quick booking.  The reason we chose this hotel was the rooftop pool and restaurant area with views of the Acropolis. The pool had a retractable roof and seemed enclosed.  Their own website said it 'operated all year round'.  But alas, the entire area was shut tight. CLOSED FROM NOVEMBER UNTIL 1 MAY. Not even access to view the Acropolis. The website needs to clearly state the dates that it is not open.  We had paid approx €1000 for a room, a gym and a downstairs bar.  If not the pool, surely there is scope to open sections of this area during shoulder season?  What a waste of prime space!  An off-season room rate would also be welcome to reflect the lack of facilities.
