The staff upgraded me to a really nice room with an Acropolis view and they also allowed my small dog to stay with me. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The bed was exceptional. Breakfast was nice and the neighborhood has a lot of delicious restaurants. If you like to walk this is the place for you - all the attractions, shopping, bars and restaurants are easy to reach. Bonus: location is also close to 2 Metro stations (Syntagma + Monastiraki) that go directly to Pireaus or the airport without having to change trains.

John was fantastic!! He was very helpful and went out of his way to help.

The bathroom smelt like mould. When we notified the overnight staff, he seems uninterested to help. We also organised a transfer from the hotel, which never arrived. We waited 40m in the heat to only have to catch a taxi, as it never arrived.

Great location, easy walk from the train station and close to lots of ancient ruins, restaurants and tourist gift shops. Fabulous breakfast every morning with lovely and helpful staff. Was also great to relax in the rooftop bar and have a drink in the evening. My room was fantastic, very spacious and comfortable with an amazing view of the Acropolis, also next to a lovely old church which one evening had a concert of traditional Greek music and it was lovely hearing the bells on the Sunday morning

Only one thing which was a bit noisy was the air conditioning unit not for my room but I think it was the duct that went up to the rooftop and didn’t shut down until after midnight every night

Breakfast was glorious. Fantastic room, views, and exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Could not have asked for a better stay in Athens. This hotel is so cute, with a great rooftop bar/restaurant and such an awesome location - is very walkable to tons of restaurants, shopping, and about 15-20 minute walk to the Acropolis. While it is located in one of the "nightlife" areas of the city, it was pretty quiet at night, and we went to bed early most nights after our long days. My favorite was how helpful and how much care their staff showed for guests, we were so welcomed and appreciated all of the tips and recommendations!

Not very much closet/storage space for 2 people, and though not a dislike, if you are expecting large rooms think again. The room was a great size and value for its awesome location, just limited room to spread out for 2 people so pack accordingly! I expect this is the case for many city stays, so be prepared.

A Wonderful Stay at The Artist Athens with Some Minor Considerations My recent stay at The Artist Athens was a truly delightful experience, offering excellent service and delectable cuisine. From the moment we checked in, the staff was warm, friendly, and attentive to our every need. The food served at the hotel's restaurant was both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, leaving us eager to return for more. It's worth noting that the hotel's prices are on the higher side, but considering the level of service, quality, and location, we still found them to be within a reasonable range. Our room boasted an incredible view of the Acropolis, which was a real treat to wake up to each morning. However, the hotel's proximity to a nearby church with a bell tower is something to take into account. Although the windows in our room were well-sealed, the sound of the bell did manage to permeate the room. This minor inconvenience didn't significantly impact our overall experience, but it's worth mentioning for those who may be sensitive to noise. In summary, our stay at The Artist Athens was a positive one, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others seeking a comfortable and luxurious stay in the heart of Athens. Just be prepared for the occasional tolling of the church bell, and you'll have a fantastic time.

Excellent location, great staff, great breakfast & rooftop restaurant. As a solo traveller, I felt safe here & could walk down to the square at night - I actually walked myself everywhere during my stay - Monastiraki Square is at the end of the street, easy walk to The Plaka, walking distance to Acropolis, plus walked to Syntagma Square for changing of the guard. The building is really creative with all the different sketches ( as per the name ).

Even with the window closed, street noise at night was a bit disturbing. But the church bells on Sunday morning was quite nice to listen to.

Everyone very helpful. Breakfast was The best we had at any hotel we stayed during this travel period!

Our first look at the property area didn’t look as good as expected. We also found this pretty common in the downtown center area. It was so close to everything was a big plus. But, as we walked thru hotel and noticed they had another exit outside facing a church with tables and chairs which was so nice and encouraging for you to sit and enjoy yourselves. Nice trees shaded the area well. Our party of six did that and enjoyed it. We loved the location close to everything, especially the Acropolis. They also had a rooftop bar and dinner service. Our friends ate there one evening and enjoyed the view of the Acropolis all lit up at night, beautiful!

The breakfast was tasty and cooked to order with good options. Great location, 5 min walk to Monastiraki metro station. Even felt safe walking the neighborhood past midnight on a weekday. We upgraded to a jr suite and that was a good size room with nice views. Very modern design and amenities. The room was sound proof once the windows were closed. Try the Avli restaurant next to the hotel for an authentic, cheap local Greek taverna experience.

There were some communication issues with an early morning breakfast request but not a huge deal, I just had to wait for it a little.

The hotel had not too many visitors and we were lucky to get an upgrade! Most of all: very lovely stuff. We were welcomed with freshly made lemonade and we felt very comfortable and happy during the whole stay. Every morning we enjoyed sitting at the breakfast hall and listening to sweet covers. It seems that on weekends it can get a bit loud outside, luckily we still slept very well!

We were not like 100% convinced that the restaurant upstairs had enough of good food choices for us. I guess we expected a little bit more variety.

This hotel is truly amazing Starting from it's great location – the hotel is located in the center of Athens, walking distance from many attractions, surrounded by many restaurants & taverns. It's located inside an alley, which prevents noise from disturbing. The breakfast is one of a kind. We strongly recommend the crouqe maddame and the special Omelette. The amazing stuff at the breakfast, are very kind and the service is great. We didi an early checkout so we got breakfast to go. The room is great, you have everything that you need, from a TV, air conditioning, amazing shower Floor 4 is a rooftop with a great view and a bar. Don't miss it.
