Breakfast was nice,friendly staff

When looking for hotel facilities, prior to booking, I read that there is parking at the hotel.they meant around the hotel in private parking lots.its really difficult to find a parking spot around there.

Nice hotel with an old days vibe specially the rooms decoration . The staff was very nice. The hotel has some old story but looks well maintained. The rooms were spacious and clean. There is a mini fridge in the room which was great to have the water during the summer. Nice touch was the tv remote wrapped in plastic for good hygiene. All hotels should do this ! The breakfast was ok. It has a gym (that we did not had opportunity to try but it looked well equipped. So this is a plus. There is a bar downstairs where you can enjoy a drink with see view. In the area there are several restaurants with a variety of choices. The location is great , at water front and you can enjoy nice walks by the water in the sidewalk.

The parking options are not great. There is a parking not far up the street where you pay a fee per day (I think around 3€). This I think is the best option. There is a load-offload area by the hotel that can be used when you check in and out. However is always full of scooters and other vehicles that has nothing to do with the hotel. So that’s a little annoying to have to “squeeze” for a space to load and unload your luggage. This is obviously not the hotel fault but is a thing to have in consideration.

The location was perfect and the view of the water was breathtaking as well. Special mention to the young lady Maria at the reception desk. Really appreciated her positive energy, smile and caring demeanour to make sure we were always greeted with a smile. The hotel is blessed to have her and deserves to be acknowledged. Also the maintenance staff was very helpful and provided us with an extra bed quickly since the fold out couch bed was not working properly. The parking (for a fee and worth it) was very close. We booked a double room and the suite side by side. The suite is very spacious and our family enjoyed it. There was no noise from the ground floor and the beds are very comfortable.

The breakfast can be improved. For Greece it didn’t feel like a Greek breakfast compared to other experiences Quite basic and this small improvement can make a huge positive impact to the experience.

A wonderful hotel in a great location. Beautiful view from the balconies at the strait and the promenade, perfect for that morning coffee on a nice day. A lot of great restaurants within 5 minutes of walking distance from the hotel, and one of the best sweets shop in town is located just around the corner from the hotel entrance, and is worth a visit for those who have a sweet tooth. Very kind and helpful staff gave me the same room I stayed in previously without even having to ask, and wonderful maids that work there are keeping the rooms spotless each day, unless you request not to be disturbed. This was the third time I had stayed in New Paliria, and will definitely book a room for the forth time, when my next visit to Chalkida comes.

Some rooms are a bit further away from the Wi-Fi routers, so you might experience a weaker signal there. Since I travel a lot, I always bring a USB Wi-Fi antenna with me, so I don't have to worry about this problem. Other than that, I really have nothing bad to say about this famous hotel.

Very close to the river with a nice view from the balcony. Big room, good breakfast. Lots of nice places to eat around the corner.

Impossible to find a parking space nearby

Location is the best and very easy to find. Really wished we’d booked a sea view room; our class of room could have city/side view. We got the worst city view but that’s the chance we took. Balcony was big enough. Breakfast provides enough choice to have something different each day. The coffee was good but there’s also Nescafe if preferred. The hot options can become a little cold later in the service though. The dining room carpet needs some attention as there are a few trip hazzards. Lovely view from the first floor. The small lounge, cafe bar and restaurant are lovely. We used each if them during our stay. Staff were ok; a special mention to Anthony who performed a number of roles and was lovely. Few things needed attention on arrival (missing balcony chair/coat hangers/safe left locked) but were dealt with promptly when Reception were informed. The hotel is older style and a little worn around the edges in places but our room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was large and we slept well in it. There was plenty of storage and the lighting was good. We had a small table and a couple of chairs. Air con. was good. The bathroom was perfectly fine although the paintwork on the ceiling requires a bit of attention. Toiletries were provided and replaced along with fresh towels each day. Housekeeping was great.

Nothing - we’d reviews and our expectations were met.

Location not far from train station. It's city hotel and services Greek touristic groups. The shower gel and shampoo and soap not whole in one. City beaches not very clear, but can be.

The breakfast area with Greece tourists is something, no place and no silence, the breakfast room girl will show place ONLY for the greeks, you, please, come later because they will sit till around 9 o'clock.

Location is great, dead-center. Room is OK+, a bit dated, but clean and the bed (two twins) was large and comfortable. The shower had a very good water pressure. Breakfast had a good variaty and everything tasted fresh. Good coffee. Staff was very nice and VERY helpful, attending to every guest need.

There is nothing not to like. It could use a bit of a facelift, but it is great as it is. Parking is a bit expensive, but it was good and important to have it (location has very few and seldom free public spaces on the street. One thing I may suggest the proprty is to hang a full body mirror in the rooms. My wife found it anoyingly missing. Oh... and maybe put in some stronger lamps only to light the overall of the room (near the beds it was perfect)

Location is amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It’s a older historic building and with that comes the wear and tear of age. Breakfast was just “okay”. My door lock would fail to re-engage about 25% of the time, so I had to cycle the lock with the key card quite often to make sure it was secure. Driving is chaos in that area so I recommend getting a pin to their recommended garage first - there is really no place to pull over, check-in and orient yourself. Small things.
