Fantastic location. Very convenient to local bus depot which takes you to every and any part of the island. The Winery hotel is quaint and beautifully designed both inside and out. We enjoyed a glass of wine and a warm welcome from Nikos on arrival. Nikos was extremely attentive to us for the duration of our stay - nothing was too much trouble and we had plenty of laughs! Anna-Maria was exceptionally pleasant during breakfast service. Her fresh orange juice with ice is fantastic! Robbie and Regina were equally helpful in answering any questions for us. Regina’s communication with us before our stay was super. Highly highly recommend a stay here in the Winery Hotel. For sunset views, we would recommend Volkan Pizza restaurant - we found it on our last evening and wished we had known about it sooner!

The location was easy and very convenient to all that Fira and Firostefani had to offer. The staff was impressively hospitable. So kind, considerate and helpful. I loved my room and it’s decor, so stylish, comfortable and communal, yet private. I have to mention the breakfast service, because I typically do not bother with hotel food, but what a time to make an exception. They went above and beyond to ensure that I was well fed and even delivered to my door each morning. The weather for most of my trip was disappointing, but my hotel experience helped balance that out.

Regina and her staff were wonderful, so friendly and accommodating. We arrived on an early morning flight and they were able to check us in much earlier than normal. Regina went over a map of the island with points of interest and things to do. The room was great. Clean comfortable, great Air Con. Nice large bathrooms. Over all a lovely place to stay and in a great location in the centre of Santorini. The Donkeys literally walk past the entrance door in the morning and evening when they start and finish working.

Wonderful star at the Winery Hotel. We really enjoyed the room, location and breakfast. The staff was amazing and we would like to give a special thank you to Regina as she provided us with amazing tips for our trip and welcomed us with a nice glass of wine and wonderful stories about the foundation of the Winery. Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable, the jacuzzi worked perfectly and after being walking up and down visiting loads of places, it was a nice and relaxing treat to decompress in the jacuzzi. The swimming pool looked amazing too, but the weather was not too good for us to enjoy it. The decor in the room was excellent and its location is perfect (just a few steps from the centre of Fira). Thank you so much for this incredible stay.

The only thing we didn't like was the depuration system of the jacuzzi in our room, which at night you could hear the piping system working and kept us awake.

We had a fantastic stay at the Winery Hotel as part of our honeymoon. The hosts were all fantastic and very helpful. We were very grateful for all their help and the room upgrade. The location is great for exploring Fira and near to the local bus depot too to catch buses across the island. The breakfasts were fantastic too and very generous.

It would have been fantastic to have slightly warmer pool and hot tubs but we stayed in April so I imagine by June they would be perfect

A lovely oasis of peace in the heart of town! Steps away from the shopping, restaurants and gorgeous scenic views. The hotel is a lovely, quiet, cool and charming oasis in the midst of it all.

I could not reach the hotel after I booked on hotel.com. it would have been nice to have a taxi waiting- which I know they happily would have done for us. missed the discreet entrance a few times but locals helped us find it. Once thru the big wood doors it was all lovely.

This is the best hotel ever! Stay here if you are in Fira! The manager stayed late for us on our check in day, as our flight was delayed. He was delightful. The pool is lovely and heated which is good for cloudy days in April. The breakfast was amazing, you order from an a la carte menu the night before. This includes classics and greek items. There are also vegetarian and vegan options. The receptionist also offered to take phoots of my sister and I by the pool

Our room (10) is next to the entrance to the hotel and several guests would slam the door at 2/3am and have very loud conversations stood outside our door! Nothing the hotel can do about the loud guests but maybe ask for a different room if you are a light sleeper.

Love how the hotel seems secluded and quiet despite in the center of busy Fira. The owners/staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was once a winery and I loved the uniqueness of the rooms, the high ceilings and rounded walls. The air conditioning worked perfectly and was easy to control. Most importantly the room was quiet and I couldn’t hear anything from the outside or any other unit. The pool was clean and instagramable with the white sunbeds and crystal clear water. It’s obvious the owners are passionate about the hotel and they treated us like a bnb owner would- checking up on us and talking to us, making sure we enjoyed our stay. It was that extra step that gives the place a family feel which is missing from similar higher-end hotels. They even offered us a glass of wine when we checked in which was a nice touch. I highly recommend Winery Hotel 1870 if you’re looking for a quiet oasis in the center of it all.

Nothing- I loved everything

The cleanliness and how well the property is maintained by the staff. How conscientious and polite the staff were, they worked exceptionally well as a team, and nothing was ever too much for anything we requested. Special thanks to Regina, Anna-Marie, Jenny and the house-keeping girls and also Gianni…! (Apologies for any name spelling errors!)

Fantastic room. Very comfortable. Amazing staff who could not do enough for us. The hotel changed its breakfast ordering process towards the end of our stay and the choices were much more flexible. Great food and service.

Written instructions for the operation of the hot tub in our room would have helped. Although the hotel was amazing, the price was high for a hotel without a view of the caldera. The price would probably prohibit us staying again but it was an amazing treat on this occasion.
