We are family of 1 mature adult and 3 young adults. Kastro suites was more than comfortable for us. Mario and Sophia were fantastic hosts in looking after their guests, very friendly and excellent at giving ideas on where to go what to do, they organised our transfers and collected us and our suitcases from the Main Street. Our Suite was great for our family, clean comfortable with spectacular views. Whilst the sofa beds in the living room were a little hard for our taste we did manage and had a great nights sleep. There was a courtyard out the front of our room with table and chairs and fantastic egg chairs to sit and lounge in front of the view. Mario served us breakfast daily that was beautiful. Continental style with fresh Greek yoghurt, fruit, pastries, eggs, breads, condiments and tea/coffee or fruit juice. The location was just perfect! Close to shops, town square, amenities, everything is walking distance. The suites are situated close to the gondola that takes the cruise passengers back to the tender dock. When there are many cruise ships in the area can become very over crowded but once you walk into Kastro you leave the hustle and bustle behind!

The suite was very large and comfortable with breathtaking caldera views from the windows and patio. The staff was so helpful - they recommended restaurants, made dinner reservations, and arranged transfers from the airport and to the port. Mario was the best! He carried our luggage from the road to/from our suite and served us breakfast on the patio every day. He was very kind and friendly. Location was amazing, right in the heart of Fira with lots of shops and restaurants close by. We especially loved the spacious patio with its spectacular views. And we enjoyed watching the donkeys go down to the port every morning :)

The living room had air conditioning but the bedroom did not, so it was quite warm for sleeping (there was a fan). Breakfast was very good, but it would have been nice if there was more variety from day to day. Wifi did not work very well.

Great location just below the cable car station, fabulous views over the caldera and Fira from the communal deck, even better at night! Similar view from the pool. The path to the old port where the cruises dock is just below so sounds of the donkeys going down in the morning and returning late afternoon might not be for everyone but we liked it! Both staff members were excellent as was the breakfast served on the above mentioned deck. The front gate is basically the start of the Fira to Oia 10km walk, a must do!!

Only one problem and nothing to do with Kastro suites.....two doors up is a small take away coffee/drinks shop that on a Saturday night becomes a pop up rave joint (if that's the right term), the doof doof music going until 5.30am!!! Apparently against the law but not enforced, Unbelievable as a lot of accommodation close by. The rooms on the pool level not affected by the noise, just the deck level ones

Location was wonderful. The view from our patio was perfect. The location was right on the cliff overlooking the harbor and the caldera. The included continental breakfast was excellent and a perfect way to start the day. The waiter was extremely helpful and even helped to arrange our transportation to the ferry for the next phase of our trip.

The furniture and beds were very uncomfortable. Probably a good thing in that it caused us to spend very little time in the room and we were thus out and about in the city and island.

Location was perfect, with stunning views, a quiet shared patio area and very friendly and helpful manager. The pool was awesome for cooling off and soaking up the views and watching the cruise ships come and go. Breakfasts were excellent with top quality fruits, fresh bread and pastries. Fresh towels were provided daily.

The lounging chairs in the apartment were not the most comfortable. Light dunas on the beds would have been a nice touch rather than sheets. (There were blankets available in the cupboard)

Very centrally located with an amazing view of the caldera.

The steps were a bit steep for me.

Breakfast was fabulous, plentiful, and served cheerfully by Marios. The entire staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and anxious to please. I had taken the wrong converter for electricity and consequently for my phone but Sophia fixed me up quickly

The mattress was horrible and truly needs to be replaced. Thank goodness for lots of good pillows for cushioning

The location was very good. The staff was very accommodating as I have a bad leg. They moved us from a room that required going up steps to get to bed into a single level room. Breakfast was very nice. One of the staff helped us take our luggage from our car to the room as you do not drive next to the Hotel.

The photos showing a view from the room were not like what we had. This hotel, like others, is not on the road vehicles travel on.

Fantastic location, great sunset views, caldera view. It is also very convenient to walk in any direction along the caldera.

The plunge pool/tub was not working, that is a deal breaker for us given the fantastic location. Our family was highly disappointed. The location is in a very crowded tourist area just outside the cable car and shopping streets. The breakfast was disappointing, highly avoidable. Much better stuff available outside like at the yoghurt bars. The bedroom for 4 people only one bathroom in the bedroom, so a bit inconvenient. The ACs are only in the living room, so doors need to be kept open for the bedroom to cool, no privacy.

Great place awesome location. Lovely check in staff and breakfast waiter.

I think the hotel is connected to the bar upstairs. The bar owner very rude.You have to go near bar to access hotel and he asked us rudely what we were doing there? We said we are staying there. Another visit to bar to buy water same kind of treatment. shame it colored our experience of hotel. Room and surrounds lovely though.
