My wife and I, discovered this little gem during our last trip to Kavala. Anthemion house is a beautiful hotel, a neo-classic house converted with gusto and careful thought to spacious and luxurious rooms. The feeling inside was unique; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel. We loved our room and we felt at home during our stay. We found that the breakfast had an interesting touch as we were served with different and extremely tasty options from the local bakeries every day; we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the great atmosphere at Anthemion house. Everyone we met from the staff was amazing. During our stay, we had the pleasure to meet with Vaggelis, Maria and Vicky. They were all extremely friendly and helpful. They were great when they welcomed us to Anthemion house and a pleasure to talk to ever since! The hotel also offers two communal balcony areas where you can enjoy the view of Kavala’s fort and aqua duct while sipping a morning or afternoon coffee or even enjoying a cigarette in case you are a smoker. The hotel is situated a stone’s throw from Kavala’s famous landmark; Kavala’s aqua duct. There are several bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk either from Kavala’s port or the St Nicolaus’ church area. The hotel is very close to the old town of Panagia which is great for sightseeing but also offers the option for a breath-taking visit to Kavala’s famous fort! Kavala’s high street and shopping centre are only a 10-15 minute walk away. You will also find a few pharmacies very close to the hotel same as several late night convenience stores and snack bars in case you are returning back late at night. Definitely a must visit place for our next trip to Kavala!

Big and clean room including a mini kitchen if you want to prepare sth to eat, helpful and very kind staff, delicious breakfast.The free parking area for guests is a real advantage. Very comfortable experience, highly recommended!

At a little walking distance to the centre, yet, may be hard to walk as the streets are steeply sloping, and even harder with a baby stroller.

Excellent service, big spacious rooms with high ceilings, great location - 5min from city centre and old town, The host Maria was really helpful and friendly (on arrival she gave us a little 'map' tour of the city with all important locations, restaurants etc - and a bottle of chilled white wine, which was unexpected). Free parking is provided which is a big bonus as really hard to find a place to park in the city. The food in the breakfast baskets that they hand over in the morning could last you the whole day really - all fresh and tasty. Could highly recommend and definitely will visit again,

Everything was perfect. The room was nice, spacious, modern, clean and cosy. The view from is beautiful, we saw the Kavala fortress and aqueduct from our window. Stuff is amazing. Vicky was very friendly and polite. She gave us welcome and goodbye presents. She treated us like friends. Furthermore, she recommend us places to visit in our short trip in Kavala. The location of hotel is good, close to all interest places in Kavala so we could easily walk everywhere. No need of car. And the city is amazing, you can visit a lot of things and go to the beach. Breakfast is so good, a lot of variety of products. We received a basket with food which we can take in our room or we could eat on the balcony enjoying the view. There is a private parking which is amazing when traveling by car. Everything exceeded our expectations.

The hotel is in a quiet area super close to everything one wants to visit, city centre, old town, seaside area. It is a beautiful old mansion that has been restored very carefully in order to combine the old glamour with the modern travellers needs. Our room was very spacious, most rooms are we were informed by the incredibly nice and friendly staff, and provided everything we needed. It was quiet, and welcoming with all the electronic appliances provided. We felt we could stay there forever. Also, very importantly, the cleanliness of the place and the caring of the cleaning staff was of the highest level. Everyone was talking such a good care of us and our needs ❤️. Breakfast was also really nice, served in a cute basket in our room, full of fresh local products of the best quality. Don't miss out on trying the yogurt 🙂. There is also a parking space for each room, we did not have a car, but i understand it is Very important for most guests as Kavala is also a little difficult in this respect. We will definitely come back soon!!

Beautiful property, renovated in a tasteful, practical way. 10 meters away from Kamares, one of the best known landmarks in Kavala, and 5 min walk to the seaside and market areas. Vicky at the reception was welcoming, funny, and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious, with artisanal jams, honey, local thick Greek yogurt, fresh breads, sandwiches, fruit, mpougatsa, and eggs. Parking is very challenging in the city, but they have private parking near the hotel, which is very convenient. Also, the kids rated the free Netflix in the room. Amazing stay, highly recommended.

Excellent hotel wit excellent and very helpful staff Maria and Viki. Rooms are very spacious and decorated bohemian chic. It includes every single detail. Netflix is a plus. Breakfast is very delicious and big, delivered to the room in a lovely big basket (Due to ongoing covid precautions). Hotel is laid in a quite street in the old city center just behind the ancient aqueduct. I definitely recommend this top tier hotel and stay here again whenever I come back Kavala. P.S: Thanks for the gifted Kavala cookies, they were extremely delicious.
