It’s a small clean property, yet very well maintained. The pool was a decent size, with plenty of sun-beds. The breakfast room was decently sized and well positioned. We had a family room with one large double bed, with two singles behind a cleverly used semi partitioned wall. However it was the staff that made this an excellent stay for our extended family. From the people in reception, to the breakfast room, cleaning staff (many exchanging roles during our holiday) to the pool bar attendants each were exceptional. They were interested in what they were doing, we’re happy to chat, even when we bumped into them in the local supermarket, introducing their teenage children. Reception went above and beyond in helping us with travel plans, offering helpful suggestions, and providing local gems off the beaten track, For those staff who didn’t have English as a second language, they tried hard and always made themselves understood, and that requires good will and patience from those staff members. It was very much appreciated.

The only criticism I can offer is that my father at 82 found the walk in and out of Nafplion town centre just within range. For the rest of the family it was no bother, and actually a nice constitutional walk after our evening meals.

We were happy staying further out of town for the easy parking behind the hotel so we could easily come and go without worrying about parking on our return. Lovely spacious room with large bed, comfortable chairs and plenty of cupboard space. Excellent shower. Very efficient air conditioning. The fridge was very useful. Lots of sunbeds and chairs and tables round the pool and plenty of shade from the surrounding trees so a very pleasant place to sit. Appreciated the pool towels. Very good variety at breakfast and fried eggs cooked to order. Also appreciated the teapots and milk jugs.

The wardrobe hanging space had a shelf below so too short for hanging dresses. I would have felt safer entering the swimming pool if there was a handrail by the steps. Didn’t enjoy the long walk into town along busy roads. We’re not fast walkers so it took us 30+ minutes. Despite being along the harbour front this is not a scenic walk. But a taxi back after dinner only cost €5 which was worth every €!!

I loved my stay at Avrfa Nafpliou. I was visiting Nafplio for a friend's wedding, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, the room was huge, all the features (i.e. air conditioning, fridge, iron, safe) worked perfectly, and it's just a 10-minute walk into the Nafplio old town. Breakfast was great too - I tried a new Greek treat every morning! I didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it looked lovely too. There's also a dedicated parking lot on the road behind the hotel. I felt very comfortable and safe and it was easy to access the hotel after a late night out. A lot of thought has clearly gone into this hotel by the owners and management. They even have bicycles you can borrow to cycle into town. Keep up the great work!

I genuinely can't think of anything I wasn't happy with.

I really liked the design and the cleanliness. The room size is also ok. The parking spot is in the back of the hotel, across the street. We could see our car from the window. The breakfast is simple, but with quality ingredients. I liked the fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs and pies. The location is a bit far, but if you like walking, like we do, it is ok. We enjoyed the walk to the old town. I am very happy that i choose this hotel. It would have been a nightmare to pick something from the old town (there are a lot of steps!) and to leave the car in the port that was packed even in the winter.

It is indeed noisy! We asked for a room on the back and they gave us a room on the side. Best they could do. All rooms are on the front side of the building and they have a balcony. Only the family rooms are on the back and don’t have a balcony. The balcony doors are double isolated, with 2 rows of doors. We brought with us some wax ear plugs. We cane prepared :) otherwise i would have been pretty tricky to sleep.

Exceptionally friendly hotel management and team. Nice clean hotel with a wonderful pool area, incl. shady spots through the trees. Bakeries, mini market and similar within walking distance.

The front of the hotel is located on a more or less busy road, which makes sitting on the balcony not so comfortable, but the windows are glazed several times and therefore quiet sleeping is possible. If you are used to sleeping completely in the dark, the light from the street shines a little too much past the curtains.

Lovely boutique hotel a little way out of the old town. Quiet street at the back with plenty of free parking. We had a double room with a balcony looking towards Palamidi Fortress, nice view at sunset. The room had a comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, a safe and a coffee machine. Bathroom was a good size and everything worked well. Hanging rack on balcony to dry towels, clothes. Large clean pool which was covered every night and cleaned every day during our stay, plenty of sun lounges and a poolside bar. Amazing breakfast spread with eggs cooked to your liking, espresso/cappuccino. Special thanks to the lovely Evie for her amazing delicious homemade cakes and sweets. The best staff who greeted us with a smile, a wave and helpful advice when we went in or out. Probably a 20-25min walk to the start of the old town/harbour area. An easy flat walk though so not a struggle. Wonderful bakery (Kosmos Bakery) almost directly across the main street with great pastries, desserts, juices etc. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Can't think of any negatives except that we had to leave!

Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Excellent beds. Good breakfast. We were in suite 218 on the top floor with pool view, which was the quieter side of the building. Bakeries nearby. Fridge in room.

Next to a very busy road at the front. Motorbikes racing up and down the cycle path to the rear of the hotel at night, revving. Strong air fragrance machine in the room.

Location was just outside the main town centre, 5 minute drive, parking in the hotel was good, room and bathroom were excellent and spacious for 2 big bags, etc , great care by front office and all staff, breakfast is adequate, eggs, etc, good coffee, great stay overall. Would highly recommend for those that are driving and don’t really want to be bang in the town centre as car access is not feasible. There is a lot of free public parking on the Marina though opposite the cobbled streets of the town centre. But if you are looking to get to Corinth, Mycenae, Epidaurus and other sights with Nafplio as the base, this is highly recommended, easy access.

Actually, everything was good, very clean and well maintained.

The staff were very friendly and they could not do enough for you. Excellent breakfast every day and the staff were always checking to see you had all you need. The reception were particularly friendly and helpful. Room was lovely and spacious, and decorated to a high standard. Pool area is beautiful and shaded by lots of trees and like the rest of the hotel, very clean and tidy.
