It’s the first time in my life I felt that I was home, the way this lady(Maria)is managing the hotel is really strange and very professional, you here everyone calling Maria ..Maria it reminded me when I was young with my brothers and sisters before going to school calling mum every one of us and mum was replying to everyone of us and make everyone happy before going to school, Maria was exactly like this , she was eager to reply to everyone calling Maria .. Maria replying to us with love before everyone of us go out , what a great woman , I must write what I felt , I felt home with this great kind of successful hotel working woman.

Everything was great

From the outside it did not look like anything special, then one opens the doorto a lovely facility with lovely patio and gardens. Our rooms were in out buildings set in the garden area. they were roomy, the baths spacious and everything worked. The breakfast was ample and the dining area roomy and nicely decorated. One could take one's breakfast out to the tables on the patio if so inclined. It was just a short walk to the center of the village and a number of restaurants. Our hostess spoke excellent English.

The recommended restaurant was several miles away and although very nice, it was isolated. Walking to one of the local eateries is a better option for being with the locals.

The Pyrgos of Mystra is a beautifully restored stone mansion nestled in the mountains around Mystras, which has been transformed into a charming hotel. The interior is absolutely stunning, blending ancient elements with elegant decor. The hotel also boasts a lovely garden of orange trees, with a shaded terrace — a perfect spot to relax in the serene surroundings. One of the highlights of the stay was the delicious buffet breakfast, featuring a variety of delightful Greek specialties. The buffet included some of the best olives I’ve ever tasted during my time in Greece. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of history and excellent local cuisine, this hotel is a perfect choice.

Beautiful hotel in a historic property near Mystras, very convenient for visiting the site. One of our rooms was upgraded on arrival, but even the standard room was really lovely - spacious, clean and well appointed. Lovely breakfast buffet. We got a very warm welcome from the staff, who gave us lots of tips and recommendations for visiting the area. There are some dinner options within walking distance, which was nice as we had had a long drive. We all wish we could have stayed longer!

Nothing, although I would perhaps suggest to send some directions to the hotel from the main road - our sat nav struggled to cope.

We travel full time, couple, value location/service/good wifi and comfortable furniture. This is a beautiful property, A historic home converted tastefully to separate suites. The bed is very comfortable with firm base and cushioned pillow top. Extra pillows provided. Toiletries are luxurious and view is restful. Breakfast was exceptional with broad choice of proteins, fruits, pastries and everything home made. Maria works hard to to ensure everyone feels at home. Coffee was excellent.

Breakfast room is quite small and closed in feeling. Bathtub shower combo was quite precarious - about 18" step down into tub, with no where to grab on. Many stairs to enter building and access rooms. Not for those mobility challenged. A neighbors dog barked outside our window for two hours straight from 2-4am both nights we were there. Maria is aware of situation and working with neighbor to try to resolve the problem, but people should be aware of possibility of having sleep very disturbed.

This stylish boutique hotel in a historic building set among an orange grove in the village of Mystras started things off right by giving us a substantially upgraded room. Location was peaceful and parking convenient. it was close enough to the historic site that we could have walked up to the lower town, had we been so inclined, and was just a couple blocks from the village square. The evening hostess also gave us an excellent dining recommendation in the area (one of the best meals of our trip, Ktima Skreka) and the hotel offered an excellent breakfast spread. A lovely stay overall.

Sirene small hotel in a fascinating building. Unbelievably thoughtful supervisor accommodated a preference for a gluten-free breakfast by finding a fresh bread loaf at a local bakery. Well-designed room and furnishings. Beautifully painted carved wooden ceilings throughout. The breakfast room has artistic painting and lighting.

Some of our room’s wood built-ins and trim showed signs of wear, although the overall impression was still elegant. For non-Greeks the signage for the hotel is poor and GPS in this corner of the town consistently went haywire. To be more precise, there was a small English-language poster looking like an ad plastered over a corner of the Greek lettering for the hotel. I know Greek lettering, but the ad obscured too much of the Greek lettering for me. The English ad is illegible from the street. Basically we wasted twenty minutes looking for the hotel before we gave up and consulted a local shopkeeper. Trust me, we are experienced travelers with remote regions in Asia, Africa and Europe.

We loved the town of Mystras, the building the hotel is in and the beautiful shady courtyard guests can relax in, including having an idyllic breakfast there. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast was good. The room was spacious and well air-conditioned with great furniture for spreading out a bit.

The shower was rather small with obscure controls so we never quite had the shower we wanted. The hotel served a small range of drinks but not a full bar, which would have been great.

The room had high ceiling tasteful decor and furniture, lots of space for the bedroom as well as the bathroom. The bathroom had lots of amenities provided including robes and slippers. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were large made of latex. lots of cover options such as comforter, thin cotton blankets and sheets available. The backyard garden is in the middle of an orange grove where we picked some sweet and juicy oranges. The breakfast room and furniture is in line with the building architecture. the breakfast buffet had lots of items mostly preserves and cakes and cookies. The OJ was fresh and so were the served eggs we requested. Plenty of coffee and tea available on request. Overall the two ladies Pany and Maria were very friendly and gave us good dining recommendations in nearby villages.

the bathroom overhead shower in the cabin is only useful for people less than 1,6 m tall. The window to the bedroom is small due to its architectural heritage with a partial view of the mountain. However it lacked a screen, so even though there was a nice cool breeze from the mountain we were forced to use the air con to prevent insects from entering the room. Would have preferred the fresh air instead. Would have preferred to have breakfast at the oudoor garden area including a variety of freshly cut fruit. The cold cuts and cheeses were mediocre, would have preferred some local cheeses and meats as well as local pies.

Old stone villa style hotel, modernized while keeping the unique ambiance. Perfect location for a day trek up to the Mystras Castle ruins and just a short walk uphill from the village center with eateries & shops. The staff was exceptionally helpful, accommodating and gracious, the grounds peaceful and private with a lovely terrace and small orange grove. The breakfast buffet is hand prepared, basic but delicious! Try Maria's secret recipe scrambled eggs for a real treat! No restaurant but drinks, etc are available on site. We loved our stay!

Travelers with mobility issues beware...no elevator, however there are several ground floor suites off a private garden area. Google Maps is not correct once you get into the village. Ask a local once you arrive...a bit difficult to find the 1st time, but easy once you realize where you need to be.
