Pepi is a little gem in the heart of the Old Town. Small enough for a personal touch, yet big enough to have wonderful facilities. The breakfast buffet is a truly tempting spread,with fresh orange juice,endless coffee and local pastries and breads. There is also a 'to order' cooked breakfast menu,with delicious local produce. Sympathetically decorated rooms with all mod cons. Comfy sunbeds and huge parasols in the beautiful garden. And of course -a dipping pool to refresh from the heat. The best thing about Pepi is the lovely staff team. All so warm,friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They combine true professionalism with Cretean warmth.

I wish the pool could be a bit warmer!

We stayed at the Pepi Boutique Hotel before and really liked it and so booked it again. The location is perfect -in a quiet alley in the centre of the old town. My request for a spesific room was kindly met by the staff. What I like specifically is the lovely pool where we could cool off after shopping. The shady pool area and sun beds for lazing around when you get tired of the busstling of the old town are a big bonus. The breakfast was superb with a big selection of fruits , cakes, cold meats , cheeses and various warm breakfasts could be ordered. My request for a spesific room was kindly met by the staff . They also recommended authentic restaurants for our evening meals. Each room has a Nespresso Machine and coffee pods are supplied.

The room had a kitchenette which is useful but no cutlery ,plates ,dish cloth were supplied. This would have been useful. The shower cubicles are terribly small which I understand as this is an old building which was converted into a hotel

Beautifully designed exterior. Our room was stunning, but see negative. Wonderful breakfast. Superb location, with an amazingly cheerful coffee place "Pirate Deli" diagonally opposite the hotel. About 15 minute walk to the excellent city beach which stretches for kilometres. Special thanks to Anna and Despina!

Be aware that, at least with the superior double rooms, as of September 2024 the features should be understood as “or”, not as “and”. So in our case, the room neither had a balcony nor a terrace, in spite of those being listed as features. Luckily, we liked the room anyway. The same goes for the view – it lists city, garden and pool views, but in reality you will have one, perhaps two, but not all three. So if you attach importance to a particular feature, you better check with the hotel for availability.

Pepi Boutique Hotel is a little oasis of calm in the centre of the bustling old town. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly at every touch point. The breakfast was excellent and served in the cool courtyard around the little pool. The loungers were very comfortable and there was lots of shade during the day. The location is excellent, with the lovely streets and tavernas of the old town right on your doorstep. Don't miss the museum a few steps away, fascinating collection.

I can't really think of anything we wanted to change. It exceeded our expectations.

We had two rooms as we are a family of 4 adults. We loved Pepi Boutique Hotel - it is tucked away in the old town, so it is quiet yet perfectly positioned in the heart of everything! It was a 3-4 min walk to all the restaurants and bars and the Fortress too. The Hotel is very tasteful and we loved the outdoor courtyard. We particularly enjoyed breakfast around the pool. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have a comfortable stay. The rooms are a good size - spacious and we enjoyed having rooms off the courtyard on the ground floor. We also loved the welcome drink on arrival.

We loved it all - my only build would be the bathrooms need a little updating. They were fine but could be better compared to the rest of the facilities. Also to note that as the old town is largely pedestrianised the taxi must drop you near by - so it is a short 3-4 min walk to the entrance of the hotel.

Beautiful boutique hotel right in the middle of old town. Loved the design and style of the hotel with the plunge pool in the middle of the courtyard which I overlooked from my room. I believe my room was the only one with a balcony which I loved. Staff were so lovely Breakfast was delish

My room was perfect but I had a friend staying in one of the lower rooms and the room was quite dark, works with the aesthetics of the hotel so not a big deal but we were getting ready for a wedding so my room on the top floor had lovely natural light that was helpful when getting ready.

Stayed in room 11 on ground floor. Very good for disabled travellers. Plenty of room around bed, big bathroom with high toilet and big level access shower. Exceptionally clean rooms. Lovely deep pool in garden area with plenty of sun beds. Great buffet breakfast with eggs to order. Staff where without exception lovely, friendly and accommodating. Although pedestrian only area in the old town taxis did collect and drop us off due to restricted mobility. Great location close to numerous places to eat and drink. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent location, very chic hotel with fantastic staff - incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, nothing was too much effort. Kindly gave my husband some Prosecco for his birthday! Delicious freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Very comfortable, quiet, well designed, air conditioned room with a chic shower room en suite.

Nothing - we couldn't fault this hotel.

Loved our stay at Pepi Boutique, it was central to everything and for an amazing price! We both loved the breakfast options, the pool was also nice. The staff kept the communal areas tidy and clean and were very friendly! The communal area was beautiful to sit around and the rooms were quite a good size!

This is only my personal preference but the mattress wasn’t the comfiest for me, quite hard! However my partner loved it so it’s only personal preference. The air con unit wasn’t always cooling the room as well as newer units do.

Location in Rethymno is great and there are loads of amazing restaurants within a few minutes walk. The breakfast was great, 6 different cooked options which were excellent plus plenty of Greek yoghurt, fruit, breads and cold meats/cheeses. The room was spacious (we had the standard room) and it was more than enough unless you’re planning on staying in your room!

It was towards the end of the season but it felt like they were getting the hotel ready for closing - not much effort put in to putting out seat cushions, coming round to see if you wanted a drink from the bar (they put out menus but you rarely see anyone). The pool is lovely but very cold and not cleaned particularly well - I took that on as my job for the holiday!
