- First of all, the sea. Crystal clear water; nice sandy entrance. We spotted turtles several times! - private beach. The beach is small but very picturesque. There were always enough of sun beds available; we really liked the ones located in the natural shadow of banana trees on the terraces - we booked a room with a direct sea view, and it was totally worth it: the view on the turtle island was amazing -nice breakfast -friendly staff. Natasha at the reception was very helpful - great location: not far from Zakynthos capital yet in a tranquil place far away from crowds. There are several tavernas in a walking distance, a great mini market which has literally everything combined with a Koukla coffee -Koukla beach and village are also close:about 20 min walk - we loved the design of the hotel: it reminded us the Caribbean - room cleaning was ok In general: this is a hotel we would like to go back one day and can recommend to friends - the pools were cleaned every day by a robot cleaner

- I believe this hotel could even be 5* with some additional cleaning and maintenance efforts. Although the 90% of the hotel territory looks clean and neat yet there are some areas which needs cleaning and renovation, mainly the toilet in the restaurant which doesn’t look nice and doors lockers are broken. Sun beds could benefit from some occasional cleaning as well. But it looks like the hotel is in process of being further renovated. - the cleaning lady would knock the door and enter without waiting for the answer even when the “please do not disturb “ sign was on. It happened literally almost every day - the main pool is indeed a bit dull but from other hand, it looked great at night - the infinity pool is indeed reserved for the suit rooms

The property is situated in an amazing location close to the busy Laganas area and on a cliff which gives it this fantastic panoramic view! It has its own little beach and a picturesque small beach bar that is just the perfect area to drink your coffee every morning! We got a room with sea view and it was indeed as it was advertised, a balcony with no obstacles and a clean wide view of the sea and the island across the hotel! All the staff were extremely friendly and always happy to help. We loved the interactions. Our room was cleaned every day and even the cleaning ladies were so friendly and with a smile every day. Moreover, for those that know of mattresses, the brand was Cocomat and of exceptional quality plus hypoallergenic and made from sustainable material from the ocean. Really well thought of and not your average cheap hotel pillows/mattresses. Lastly, there is a water scarcity on the island, but I have to give cudos to the owners because they were bringing almost every day trucks with fresh water so that the hotel doesn’t run out! Well done!

There were some minor things for me that I didn’t like but these did not affect our rating. Our room specifically was missing some small practical things like a soap hanger and a rack to hang your clothes. The staff I think might have been overwhelmed as they had to work double shifts every day, but this is a common issue nowadays as there is no staff available for work at horeca. Although they were working hard they were keeping their smiles and were friendly which I can appreciate. There were some parts that needed a bit of attention like screws hanging out from wooden floors at the beach patio. This is a family owned hotel and I think they are renovating every year bit by bit, but there should be a maintenance person on standby for these things.

The room was perfect. It was modern, new and the view was amazing from the sea view room. The pool and its neigbour was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious.

The accomodation’s location is far from everything. The room’s cleanless not was perfect. And we saw a lot of comment, that they are want to give to the people a different room instead of they booked and our situation was the same, but we talked about this problem immediatly and change our room.

Gloria Maris probably or most definitely has the best location on the island. I can guarantee you will experience the best most relaxing vacation in this hotel. Embedded into the landscape it serves you with an incredible view to the south (sunrise) and you can see the turtle island right up front. 🏝️ 🐢 We were in one of the private suites with a private (shared area) swimming pool for suite guests, which is an incredible infinity pool. The staff is so lovely and welcoming especially Jay (Most viby Bartender), Fanny (hope i spelled the name right haha) and Alex. You will find them down at the bar during the day next to the water. Speaking of water. The hotel has an exclusive access to the sea with wide and shallow water. Great for swimming and snorkeling! The food and drinks are super delicious. Absolutely nothing!

We stayed at the junior suites and the comfort is next level. The view is stunning and the comfort of having everything you need around it is a 10! It’s a place to relax, it’s not close to the strip in Laganas (however close enough if you want a bit of noise) which makes the experience even more enjoyable if you’re looking for a good spot to relax. The hotel offers boat rentals, tours, car and quad rentals. All at your service and easy access. Private driver if you need transportation and a smile at all times! Excellent staff!

There is room for improvement on the food. The restaurant is gorgeous and they offer live shows several times during the week which enhances the experience, however the food is not up to the standard of the hotel. Not bad, just not excellent as the rest of the services offered.

The pictures were beautiful and so we thought it would be too good to be true but it was just as amazing in person as in the pictures! The manager Irene was exceptional, very friendly and always checking to make sure everything was okay with our food/stay she went above and beyond! It was a pleasure chatting with Irene and getting to know her! We would go back because she was very attentive and lovely. The reception staff were also really helpful and welcoming and spoke good English!

There were a few areas on cleanliness in the rooms that needed addressing e/g slow water drainage in the shower which meant it would flood very quickly so we could only have like 2 minute showers. Also there’s a button u can press to say yes or no to cleaning and if no was pressed they still let themselves in and done it anyway which was abit of an invasion of privacy. Towels and bedding had a couple of stains on. The staff were very very slow with the service in the restaurant.

we lived 3 great days in a penthouse on the top floor. By the way, this is the most expensive room in this hotel. to this day we are impressed by the atmosphere of this room: authenticity, naturalness, dawn, sounds ... I have no words to describe the atmosphere in this room and the views that we contemplated when we woke up, those dawns that we met, those smells of natural wood, that permeate the number. the room has absolutely everything, even some items of kitchen life, we understood what we needed. the beach at the hotel is very interesting, unusual, picturesque. the sea is very shallow and along this one it is very warm and salty. the staff is lovely. the restaurant is amazing. beach bar - chic, but a bit expensive (10-15 euros for a cocktail I think it's expensive).

i read a lot of reviews before booking and many are talking about dirt. Yes, the cleanliness is really bad. dust, sand, poor processing of the bathroom. also the breakfast is not the best but not bad. the location is very remote from civilization, but this has a huge plus - beautiful nature. Last but not least, I think it's a bit overpriced.

amazing views - helpful staff and fantastic suites . we stayed in the suite with private pool and found none of the issues i had read in other reviews prior to going . its off the beaten track of laganas strip , i would highly recommend hiring a car or quad if staying at the property , but the fact its away from the center helps you relax .

some of the decking seemed to be loose , nothing that couldn’t be fixed over the off season & never felt dangerous . just did run the risk of injury barefoot ..

- Mostly renovated property (except couple of rooms and reception area) with nice pool/sun beds /beach bar area - A bit isolated location at a distance from touristic crowd that gives you benefit of privacy - Almost private beach (rare case for Greece) with nice sandy entry into the beautiful clean water - Very friendly and welcoming personnel - Beach bar has various options for lunch/drinks

- missing some final renovation - we were first accommodated in a non-renovated room which design was not what we were booking - however following our request it was solved next day

What I loved about this hotel is its AUTHENTIC… it’s not pretending to be something it’s not. It has a perfectly rustic vibe… lots of natural materials, wood, stone, trees… the staff were beyond wonderful, happy to help, smiling and very attentive. I loved everything about this hotel!

I am one of those people who notices everything…. So even though there were some things that needed a little attention it doesn’t mean I won’t come back in a heart beat. It would have been lovely to have some welcome pack in the room just explains everything, breakfast times, the different tours you can do, what events are in at night, how to use the hot water (it takes a while to get hot, you need to run for up to 10 minutes) … The boat tour was fabulous and I loved it, I just feel it would have been extra lovely if they brought towels for guests and drinks, even if it was just water. Also a meet and greet before getting on the boat with the captain would have been a lovely little extra touch, maybe just introduce himself and explain where will we go on the trip etc
