This was my first staying in the Hostels, before that i was very hesitant however i didn't regret it. The place was clean and the cleaning team work really hard to maintain it that way. Something i also liked about the design of the rooms that i have taken (4 Bed Room) is that, they had one door that allows you to go to a small common area where you find shower, washing basin and toilet in separate areas. In order for you to get to the room you will have to get into another door. This helped keeping the room very quite during my sleep. All the doors were accessed through cards (sometimes other users might leave them open but generally doors are closed), so make you sure you carry your key always with you. The Bunk got power plug and plenty of storage areas for your personal things. The main wardrobe has a good space that you can easily put your luggage in and lock it with pad lock ( Bring your own lock ). Floors have nice carpets making it more quite when moving around. The staff in general were extremely nice and very flexible, I had several encounters with them one of which i had to extend my stay for few days and they managed to allocate me the same bunk although it was a full house. The ladies are wonderful in the reception and very helpful too. Adam if i remember his name right he is amazing with all these activities that he runs on daily basis. He brings people around for good times and also for exploring the city. Parsa another wonderful guy very friendly hardworking guy that doesn't only stop at listening to your concerns, he will physically go with you to chase the issue until you are satisfied. I remember him struggling around to find a better place for a guest that had issues with the air cleaning smell and couldn't breathe well. He took an initiative to take her to another floor and switch of the air scent dispensers or humidifiers just for the lady to be able to use the kitchen in peace. Again i can't stress enough the team is amazing.

Beds are a noisy a slightest movement is causing noise. Breakfast had no consistency in menu

Conveniently located, about 5 min walk to the Central City Market, 2 min walk to the river, from where you can take tram no. 2 that basically takes you through all of the main sightseeing spots. I also found it relieving that you can unlock all the necessary doors and your personal locker with a single e-card so you should not worry about the safety of your belongings.

I couldn't reach for the cups on the shelves in the kitchen. Apparently, it was not designed for 5'3 people.

The location was good and the lockers were large. You didn’t need your own lock, they operated with the room key

The rooms were not well ventilated. We had aircon and had to use a fan at night. It was still too hot imo. The offered tours were so expensive. I’m not sure how they justify the price for backpackers. I was told 69€ for a boat cruise… I found one online for 25€. Laundry is also offered for 13 euro which is ok if you have a lot but I just had small garments so I walked 100m to the laundromat and paid 4€. I also found some of the staff rude and dismissive.

It was incredible. The whole staff was super nice and the things they organise for the guests to socialise are super cool. I would also recommend joining their WhatsApp group as it is a very nice tool to meet the people in the hostel and the staff also post what's up in the city today or the next days. I will definitely be back! Thanks Parsa for the nice welcome and all the recommendations. I would be lost without you! <3

Regarding the price, clearness, location, equipment, facility, staff kindness, I would say it was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed!!! I’ve arrived really late, around 2:30am and Suzy at the reception warmly welcomed me and explained everything I needed to know as well as some event info. Room, bed, linens, storage locker, and bathroom were all clean. I was impressed by the locker size, which was REALLY huge. Large enough to put your cabin suitcase and backpack and more! Additionally, you don’t need your padlock, the card is the key for locking the locker!!! That was really convenient. Bed was large enough to sleep comfortably, and I got TWO pillows!!! Different size each. It was hight enough to sit down and organize your things. Bed curtain was well equipped and avoids being disturbed by the room light. Awesome My floor has 4 showers and 4 toilets, separated!!! Each shower room was quite large and many hooks. (4 inside and outside?? I really liked that they have gender separated bathroom as well. Brilliant water pressure and temperature. Few hairdryers side to basins. They also gave me a towel for free of charge! The location is brilliant, it’s just 10-15m from 100E bus stop, and 10m walk from Metro station. Just took me 1h to get back to the airport by metro and 100E bus which costs me just 900huf. Close to central market which has Aldi, and you can find other supermarkets around there too. All famous buildings and places are approachable by foot. I really enjoyed the night view around there. Felt safe walking around at night alone by myself. Well equipped kitchen with two fridge. Morning and evening gonna be a bit crowded though. To sum up, they provided me everything I needed and made my journey in Budapest so much greater!!! Couldn’t be more appreciated! I’ll recommend this place to my friends and leave my honest review here to show my appreciation. I would love to come back!!

An overnight experience taken to perfection - I could not imagine a better place to stay! The service & reception was outstanding, Alexa was so welcoming & helpful, this angel deserves a bonus!! Very well designed, extremely tidy & nicely decorated spaces. The lounge & bar is perfect for socialising, the kitchen & common space had all the amenities + coffee&tea and the rooftop terrace was so cosy, an oasis over the roofs of Budapest. The 6-bed female dorm had big lockers, a shower&toilet and the beds were super comfortable with curtains for privacy. Maverick has also a variety of activities & services to make your stay smoother.

This was my first solo stay in hostel and I loved it. I liked that beds have curtains what gives you a bit of privacy. Everything that I needed was there: big showers, hairdryer, lockers that you can use with the hostel card. People were very nice and idea with a whatsapp group is great as you can connect with other travellers easily. I would stay here again :)

This is an excellent hostel with an option to have your private room, which are very quiet, the windows are soundproof. Unlike with other hotel rooms, here you can use the shared kitchen to prepare your meal and join social activities like quiz or karaoke night. The neighbourhood is friendly and buzzing, but not noisy. The river is super close, you can go for a run, or there is a good gym nearby, food and drink places are in abundance. We were lucky enough to have a chat with the owner whose approach on managing the place is outstanding. The staff is from all over the world, everyone speaks English and super friendly. The breakfast is very good quality. This place cares about the quests. Absolutely recommended to stay here. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the room, but it looks like just the pictures you can see here.

Maverick is a great place it is more like a hotel , very safe and nice location near the Danube where you can have nice walk . Every bed has curtain so you have your privacy ..there is also a small reading lamp and a socket for charging your phone. Bathrooms are great like in a hotel.Other hostels should learn from them.People working there are very friendly and professional.There is a cafe and restaurant as well and the prices are normal and coffee is very good I can say one of the best latte that I had in Budapest. It is great for short and longer stays Every floor has his own key and own kitchen and every room has own bathroom so you can easily shower without waiting for your turn. I felt very comfortable there. I highly recommend this hostel you would not be disappointed.It is very easy to find from the airport you just take E 100 to Kalvin ter and just walk trough Lonay street and you are at the hostel and tram stops are 2 mins from Maverick when you want to go further to Parliament or the center. I am highly recommending this place .

A place where you can unwind and recover from long days of travel or find many people to meet. Many chances to join in on almost daily activities at the hostel or arranged outside. A great way to meet other guests at common kitchen or lobby lounge. Staff very nice and keeping everything clean and safe. Don't miss out on the on site activities at the hostel very good way to get to know everyone.

The use of common kitchen areas were sometimes messy and dishes were dirty from other guests. The common area could get busy, but easy to find another floor to fix a meal. Though the kitchen area was not crowded, some guests in my shared room kept food in the room causing the space to be dirty and full of smells. **The staff does a super job of keeping everything clean and all.
