We reserved a room for three people (1 person + 1 couple). When we arrived, we were offered 2 rooms free of extra charge. It was great to have an extra bathroom and more space after such a long trip. The breakfast was very good, and the staff was very accommodating to my requests of dairy free milk 😄 Although I didn't have much time to check the surrounding area, it looked like a great place to take nature walks. You can see a very nice view from the top of the remodeled Silo. There's also some other amenities: sauna, massage chair, hot tub, recreational area (pool table and darts).

The room and bathroom were a bit dark due to the dark decoration characteristic of the hotel. The view from the room on the side of the fjord is beautiful, but the room on the other side of the building has a view straight into the parking lot. The room has clear windows and dark curtains.

Lovely place with lovely staff. The area and facilities were great. We specifically chose the hotel because of the spa, sauna and relaxation area. Breakfast was good, everything you would expect. We were in a separate building away from the main house. The room was small, no problem, but instead of a double bed we had two single mattresses together. They were quite hard. Otherwise everything was perfect. Would come again and ask for a room in the main buidling.

Beautiful views, clean and comfortable property. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of facilities like sauna and hot tub and common areas (though sadly we didn’t get a chance to use them, maybe next time!). Lovely breakfast with sweet and savoury options. The location worked out well for us being a bit outside of Akureryi and along the road one takes from Lake Myvatn without going through the tunnel

Nice location, clean. Buffet dinner had few items but super good quality and excellent taste. Great garden by the sea. Staff are super friendly.

Generally building and facilities are a bit dated. Basic rooms. Beds we not too comfy. Breakfast was basic.

The location was very beautiful and the view was so pretty! The bed was very comfortable and very little noise heard from other guests.

The smell from the drain in the shower stank to high heaven, but once I ran the water in the shower for a little while the smell went away and didn't bother me the rest of the stay.

everything. the setting on the fjord with a gently sloping field, pond and stream. the tower with 360 views. hot tub, sauna and pool table. took in northern lights without having to leave. massage chair and patio overlooking the fjord and Akureyri. incredibly nice and accommodating owners. had far more of a b and b feel than a hotel. loved loved loved our stay there

Good location, clean, lots of parking, beautiful view

The room was too hot, window only opened slightly. The meal was a buffet meal which we shared with a large tour group who finished some of the dishes before we got the chance. No tea and coffee making facilities in room.

The shower didn’t drain well AT ALL. The water quickly started spilling out into the bathroom within the first 2 minutes of the shower.

The property was beautiful, clean, and very serene. This is my favorite hotel that I stayed at during our 10 day trip to Iceland. It is a little bit further away from the city, and we were able to see the northern lights right outside our room. They have an observation tower deck that we climbed up to see the lake, and the hotel grounds. It was very peaceful and calming.
