This was one of the nicest rooms we had during our stay, but one of the least expensive. The room and bathroom were a great size. We had a fridge in our room and access to a hallway microwave and coffee service. We didn't feel great, so it was nice to have such a comfortable room to relax for the evening and sleep. The location was great, right off Route 1, but set off of the road. The view from the hotel was beautiful, although we did not upgrade for the mountain view room. The room had self check-in, so all we needed was an access code emailed just before we arrived.

The breakfast was perfectly fine, but not the best selection we had during our trip. It was one of the latest check-in times we had at any hotel...4pm.

The new Guesthouse, everything is clean, there is a private toilet and coffee and tea the whole day.

Breakfast is only from 7:30-9:00 am! We are on vacation and sometimes we would like to sleep longer after a 5 hour Glacier Hike. I tried to eat breakfast at 9:30 am and was told that everything is clean and I don‘t get anything anymore. There is nothing around Vagnsstadir, nowhere you could buy something to eat. Missing the breakfast I paid for is not acceptable for me.

The property was in a remote location close to some important points of interest in Iceland. For how remote the location was, the property was really well maintained. Though the amenities were basic, it more than satisfied our needs for a quick stay while exploring Iceland. The check-in process was absolutely straightforward and the rooms were quiet and isolated. Breakfast was decent. Overall though, this is the perfect spot to stay if your main idea is to get to Jokulsarlon, the Diamond Beach and any of the tours that operate from these locations.

Can't really complain about the lack of food options nearby that are open past 9 PM - all restaurants in and around the Southeast part of Iceland (from Via to Hofn) close early. Maybe having a vending machine in the facility might give travelers options for a quick snack in a pinch. Fortunately, we were prepared for this scenario by bringing along some ready-to-eat food. Having an electric kettle in the room and a microwave in the main hallway was massively helpful!

Good breakfast, very clean, spacious and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Fresh towels available everyday. Need to prepare and bring your own dinner as there is no other eateries/facilities nearby. Adequate service available including bowls/plates/utensils/microwave/hot water/tea/coffee/hot coco/etc in a spacious and bright dinning room. Tea/coffee/hot water also provided after 8/9pm when the dinning room is locked. Quiet and peaceful environment with car park right in front of entrance (or the windows of front-facing rooms).

Very highly priced! Guess it is Iceland's cost of living and we couldn't find any other vacancy around the lagoon area anymore in June! Strongly advise to book very early for this area.

(+) The breakfast is simple, but it includes all the basic beverages and bread. (+) The provision of hot water and hot coffee at the main entrance is very thoughtful. (+) The room is quiet, the single bed is soft and comfortable."

(-) The bathroom sink is too small, which makes it very inconvenient to fill up drinking water. This is particularly troublesome for someone like me who loves to drink Icelandic water. (-) The bathroom floor drain emits a foul smell when showering."

Floors were heated which was nice when we arrived in March - cold outside. The location is remote and you will need a car. Wifi was strong and we had a family room with two separate rooms. The space was ok for 4 individuals but I wouldn't try any more than that. We were able to see the auroras from outside the hotel room.

We didn't try the food here so there wasn't much of anything bad to say. It may be a little remote for some folks but this may be what some folks want as well.

The rooms were modern and clean. Check-in was easy and the location is good if you want to see the auroras, unfortunately didn't get to see much as it was cloudy :/ Breakfast was okay, there wasn't much, but what was there, was quite good.

Quite expensive considering what you get but great if you have to other choice :) There is no TV, which we don't mind, but if it's a deal breaker for you, now you know!

The room was very clean. The instructions provided by the hosts to access the room were perfect. It just needs a few tries until you master the door keypad. The view from our window was magnificent and the breakfast was good.

If I have to pick on a couple of minor issues I would say that the bathroom sink was small and that there was a smell coming from the shower drain which went off as soon as we ran the water.

Neat and decent rooms. Good scenic location. Good breakfast. Coffee and tea options. Microwave to heat up dinner.

Good breakfast, but restrictions to the time. All guests arrive at the same time and crowd the place , standing near buffet and wasting time. The breakfast window time should he stretched out, probably earlier. It closes sharp, while guests have wasted time waiting for other guests.

Rooms are bright, new and clean. Possibility to sit in the breakfast room is very good and there are also some amenities / equipment available 24/7. Location is close to ring road but still quiet when it comes to the surroundings.

You will however need a bit of good luck with the other guests as all rooms lead to the same aisle and insulation is not 100% sound-proof. Breakfast could be a bit more varied.
