The guest-house is off the road 1, you need to drive on dirt roads quite a bit, I think that's why the price is so affordable for Iceland. it is a very spacious property, with multiple rooms, game room, breakfast room, small kitchen for guests to make drinks or a quick supper. There is nothing nearby, if you come here, bring your own food. Breakfast provided though.

The room was very small, the window drapes were of light colour, so they did not block the summer night light coming in. Was difficult to fall asleep. Also, the bathroom for the 4 rooms was just 1, incl WC - it was spotlessly clean but 1 wc incl shower was a bit tight for so many people

Lovely, lovely place to stay. The guesthouse staff were kind and attentive (esp to my father in law that couldn't sleep.so he hung out in the common area reading for quite some time!). Beds were comfy with adequate space for our group. We were spread out into two rooms (we got two 4-person rooms for our party of 7). Even had a balcony on the top floor to enjoy the beautiful views! Would absolutely, 100% stay here again. Breakfast was continental (toast, cereal, coffee, tea, cut fruit, yogurt, etc) but very filling and the dining area was clean and cozy. Excellent hospitality and excellent stay.

Uh...the place was great! One small downside was the water had a sulfur smell in our bathroom, but they had a kitchenette on the third floor with filtered water for our water bottles.

Seriously, it’s a hidden gem! Quiet place in the middle of nowhere, with such a pleasant atmosphere. The owner (I guess) is so nice and friendly, we felt so welcomed here. The room was clean and cozy, and the view from our window - oh my, it was breathtaking. We shared a bathroom (which has good toiletries, hair dryer and even vanity kits) with two other rooms and it was ok. Also we shared a small kitchenette with a kettle, small fridge, tea, cups and plates. Breakfast was excellent, it had a lot of choices. There is a beautiful dining area, which is open till 22:00 and provides you with water, tea, coffee and some biscuits. Everything there seems to be chosen with love and sense of aesthetics, even music is soft and relaxing. I am so happy I chose Hvítá and I am so sad we’re leaving tomorrow, 2 days were not enough. Absolutely nothing to mention

Good stop if you're travelling to the Golden Circle. The place has clearly been recently renovated and features a nice common area on the main floor, with a nice view. Our bed was comfortable and we had a shared bathroom and tea station just outside our room. The breakfast features only cold options but caters to both sweet and savory palates with plenty of choice.

The room was pretty small: we could barely walk around the end of the bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen in the basement, but you'll never know unless you go hunting for it: it would be much easier to just have a sign up on each floor. And both the kitchen sink and our bathroom had a smell wafting up from the pipes, plus very distinct sulfur-smelling hot water if you mind that when you shower.

Incredibly friendly staff, immaculate spotless clean, very cosy and warm (i forgot it was winter outside), very considerate of guests and travellers- provide coffee, tea, milk, etc. large comfy common space to do some reading and play board games. Oh and easy booking with detailed instructions. Highly recommended.

Not high wifi speed, but able to connect without problem. Not so soundproof, yet i slept like a baby. Nothing to complain. Really love the place.

We came at the time of the snow storm and had to stay in most of our stay but even that felt homey. The staff were exceptional and welcoming and warm and baked bread every morning. We were well looked after and left alone equally. The conservatory/dining room was our home for the 5 days we stayed and was very homelike. Very very peaceful despite the storm. And we got to see the northern lights on our last night there from the hotel. Absolutely great holiday. Thank you so much Bragi for making us feel at home. Definitely will come again

Probably the best location we had in Iceland. We had the room downstairs with a shared kitchen (not every room has a kitchen!) The kitchen was not very well equipped but was possible to cook. It is a beautiful location in the middle of nature. The view from the breakfast room was stunning! Breakfast was also good. Friendly people working there. We would definetly come back!

It was a wonderful hidden place but close to the town. We could see Northan Light from the room window. Quiet, clean and super friendly staffs who cares a lot of our safe arrival in snow conditions. We stayed 1 queen bed and 1 bunk bed with a private shower room. It was good room for 2 adults and 2 kids.

The room and the beds were extremely confy It was amazingly silent The spot was remote, during the season you don't have to go far looking for aurora The breakfast is large and good The check in out and stay was easy Nice view

As I said The spot was remote so it can be approached only by car (you will most likely rent one) It is further then it seems especially in winter circumstances The cellar floor was fresly painted, we had a little paint smell, still it felt clean

We stayed in the family room in the basement with a private bathroom. The room was narrow but big and quiet with a fridge and some dishes so that we could have breakfast in the room. The owner was nice and helpful. The common area/restaurant, as well as the veranda, were very nice and cosy.

Since the room was in the basement, there was not so much light coming through the windows so the dining area and the living room area in the room were a bit dark. The hot water in the shower had a sulfuric smell (cold water was fine), but I guess this is due to the source of the water in the region.
