Lovely ambiece and good location.. walkable to Mall road. The amenities are good, the food is delicious (I sampled breakfast once), and the staff is very congenial. I would like to make a special mention of Shweta, who attended to my requests of water, or toiletries very promptly and always with a smile!

Food is a bit overpriced. They can consider having some simpler options/snacks at more attractive prices.

Overall this was an amazing stay. I'll break down the highlights Location and Hotel Itself; Located up the hill a bit from the downtown this space is still an easy walk to the Mall, but allows you to get out of the hub bub. Additionally it's nice and close to the peace pagoda which was a great way to start the morning. The hotel leans heavily into the mountain lodge theme with lots of exposed wood paneling and dark stained wood furniture, which for me is a win. The hotel itself has a comfortable austerity about the entirety that was a nice break after some more gaudy locations. Staff: Staff was beyond amazing at this property. The manager Reshma took care of everything we needed and even the things we didn't know we needed. They handled getting laundry done on short order, helped us find an authentic local tea experience, arranged a day tour, and many other small items. They were courteous and attentive without seeming over the top or smothering. Really made the stay Room: Room was spacious and comfortable. It was a bit dated and the location of our specific room as fairly close to the dining area which meant we had a bit more noise at night, but nothing that bad. The view from the room was fantastic! The bathroom was a large wet bath, meaning the shower was no contained in the space. This led to it being a bit wet at times, but everything worked well and the water was nice and hot. Food: Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choices for indian food, and a few continental items as well. The dinner menu was solid as well, everything we ordered was tasty and well priced.

Nothing negative that was really significant. They do require you to leave the key at the desk during the day if you'd like your room cleaned, so that might not be amazing for some people and some outlets were a little picky with our adaptors but there were enough that it wasn't a big issue.

One of the rooms provided was an Attic room with a terrace, which had breathtaking views of the valley and of the Kanchenjunga mountains, right from the window behind the bed and obviously from the terrace. If you are family of 4 travelling to Darjeeling, this room is the best bet for the price offered.

This room had 2 double beds expected to accommodate 4 guests at least. so they provided a heater and blanket warmer/heater for one bed/side of the room although the second bed was left in the cold without any options. The distance between 2 areas of the room was so much that the heater was not able to help much on the other end which was freezing cold. We requested for options to fend the cold at the other side of the room, which they disregarded completely stating electric constraints, which clearly is not the kind of service one would expect. Also, the washroom had no vents or exhaust to take the air out or the drainage around the toilet seat and wash basin area, which was resulting in a complete pool of dirty water every time someone took shower or even a simple face wash.

Staff promptness

Family room. It was not prepared well before check-in. After intimation, staff made all the efforts to make it good. Family room facilities were not good. Mattress was not comfortable.

All staffs are very friendly and good behavior 👌

Some of the fecility was not as per expectation . Need to focus on providing good facility so one can feel value for money .

The view of Kanchenjungha and Darjeeling from the room was amazing and breathtaking. The staffs at the hotel were very cooperative and helpful. The rooms were spacious and well maintained and designed. It was perfect for a family trip with elderly and kids.

some staff members were a bit rude during our check in and initial arrival. however, the night/early morning staff member (I do not remember his name) was incredibly kind and helpful! he alone redeemed our experience.
